simple, but clean and comfortable beds, good shower, good breakfast, we got an excellent price surprisingly quiet (despite many pupils)
personal speaks almost no English
shower (adequate space inside the cubicle, but that's about it) and the vending machine downstairs (but quite expensive - a can of soda costs 1.30 euros while a glass of beer costs 1 euro in restaurants nearby)
This place is not a hotel, but a hostel. Unless you have a hostel membership card, they charge you additional fees per person per night on top of the price quoted by booking.com. The rooms are too basic for a 2-star accommodation (there is no soap or towel in the bathroom - everything costs extra here as this place is a hostel). When we booked the hotel, we thought their price was slightly lower than other hotels. But after adding up all the extra charges, their price wasn't cheaper. The location was bad. Google map suggested 20-30 minute walk to the centre but under 35'c heat, the walk wasn't pleasant. Buses did not come often. The worst thing was the noise inside the complex. The hostel is located in a quite area but most people staying there were kids in school trips. The walls did not block any noise and we could hear the conversations of our neighbours (above us, below us, next us,...) so clearly that we could not sleep at all at night... and they were very noisy until early morning (about 3am)... they were screaming and shouting in the hallway and stairs... felt like there were monsters outside our room... we had to come back every afternoon for a nap (not because we were fans of Spanish siesta culture but because we could not sleep at all at night) The balcony in the room is in fact shared so we didn't bother going out. Everyday cleaning ladies came in (they don't clean the room but only empty the trash cans) and left the doors to the balcony open to refresh the air in the room. As a result, all sort of insects came into the room and stayed...some of them were gigantic and scary and woke us up at night. There were also squashed cockroaches on the wall. My wife absolutely hated them. If you don't like insects, this place is not for you. The morning shift receptionists spoke some English but there was no English speaking receptionist in the afternoon.
Good and reach free breakfast in the morning.
Staff don't speak english. On second day we had to change room because ( as the staff said ) the day before we didn't give the key at receptionist, before to go out in the afternoon. It seemed a kind of punishment. Or maybe the hotel have arranged a new booking for other guests at last time. You must pay for towels.
The rooms were very large. Laundry facility (though no laundry soap facilities). Decent breakfast. Nice walk through Marie Luis park to get to the centre of town (be warned it is probably a 20/30min walk to the cathedral).
WiFi was not strong in the rooms. Cost was high for what it was (though it was Semana Santa). I checked in and they gave me the key when the room had not been cleaned from the last people. It stank. To be fair when they did clean it it was fine.
good location, perfect internet connection.
Very kind and polite staff. I went for academical purposes. Basic but confortable acomodation, good matress, pillow, good linen. Recent built hotel. Got a room for my own, very cheap, very good value for money and really close to university campus.
