This is my fifth visit to the Alborada. The hotel is perfectly situated with the best sea water swimming pool you'll find. The exterior of the building does not reflect what is behind it. The rooms are dated but spacious and clean. The hotel offers value for money on all-inclusive and there is a good choice of food and drinks to suit all tastes. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The garden area around the hotel is well-maintained and pretty.
The hotel is very outdated and let down by its outward grey appearance and would benefit from a lick of paint all round. There are paved/tiled areas that are broken/missing and dangerous in parts. Talking to other visitors there they all said that they would be prepared to pay a bit more if it went towards the cost of updating the appearance of the place
friendly and helpful staff tidiness cheap price
terrible inedible food uncomfortable rickety furniture rats drafts to the general state of repair
The apartment was a great size, well equipped and comfortable. The all inclusive deal was excellent, food good and easy to make something healthy. Two of the acts we saw were very entertaining. Staff were really pleasant and very helpful. We didn't pay a lot and you wonder how they do it at the price.
No complaints at all. We were very wary of the bad reviews but were glad we ignored. If you paid £100 a night OK moan. If you pay less than £30 per person for all inclusive you are getting great value.
The Internet is not existent... For five days using the free Wi-Fi near the pool area I could not open completely a single page. There was no signal in my room so I could not use the overpriced room Wi-Fi service. The Internet near the reception is extremely expensive - 1 Euro for 15 minutes. It is so slow that it needs 45 seconds to open my airline site (and that's before I tried to check in online), so I needed 2 Euros (30 minutes worth of online time) in order to check in! In fewer words - it is a joke, do not rely on any connectivity!
One male receptionist tried very hard to help me locate a lost jacket. Linen and room smelt really clean and fresh.
The room was a bit dark and they had stated there would be a microwave which there wasn't and a kettle but I didn't think they meant a stove top one plus there was no cutlery. The meals weren't too bad although afternoon snacks only consisted of cheese, ham and bread whereas usually there would be hotdogs, burgers and chips available.
Friendly staff, the gardens, pool area are spacious and well kept. Great sea-views from the pool area and from the restaurant. The food is good and breakfast starts already at 7.30 which is great if you want to make an early start. The hotel is not new but it is clean and we loved the "retro" look. Plenty of free parking near the hotel. It was our second visit and probably not our last.
Check-in takes a while as there is only one employee at the reception and she also has to answer the phone. WI-FI is very expensive. In theory it is free at he pool area but this did not work when we were there.
staff helpful , food was good , entertainment was ok
room smelt horrible , mattress was hard , fridge not working
The staff is very amiable and responsive; the hotel is located in a more or less quite place, but on Saturdays there is a disco party in a nearby pub and you can't sleep until 3am.... the hotel can't help it, unfortunately. Rooms are cleaned daily and they change towels every day as well. The swimming pool is quite big, the water though is very cold.
The building of the hotel is very old and have not been decorated since long ago. There were 2 separate beds in our double room. There were no kettle in the kitchen and the cooker did not work. The food is poor (very limited choice of dishes), no fresh juices, disgusting wine and the restaurant looks like a simple canteen; no curtains on the windows, table cloths of paper. Wi-fi costs money but the signal is extremely poor and you have to wait for hours when your Internet page is open.
Peaceful location away from nearest large town of Los Christianos - but yet only a bus ride in if you want the hustle and bustle Nice Marina nearby to stroll to and small town within close walking distance has all the shops and cafes you would need.
Could have had more adult entertainment in the evenings
Animation team made the holiday
Poor choice of food and drink ended up eating outist days
Not a lot.
Concrete hell!! It looked like a prison from the outside. All the outer walls are unfinished concrete. It is extremely tired and in my opinion needs a bulldozer taken to it. The public toilets are covered in graffiti. The only bar is the pool bar which gets very dirty come evening time. Entertainment is as tired as the decor.
Food...staff very kind
Location Staff very helpful.
Beds too hard. NO mattress or beach towels for sun beds.
The location and value for money also the staff it's a great fun atmosphere it just great all around
All staff very helpful and friendly rooms very clean and tidy. Recognition for miss Tryni from reception gr8 Pearson :)
Food , rooms and all hotel need refurbished from scratch
great place to relax by the pool and sea...
food was over steamed...and not much adult entertainment around area
Basic acomendation for good money Large swimming pool
there was no wifi
Very kind and helpful staff, quiet and not so crowded hotel and village. Only 10 min by car from nice beaches (Los Cristianos & Las Americas) and parcs (Siam Park, Monkey Park, etc). Numerous little shops and supermarkets nearby the hotel. Possibility to eat and take a walk along the coast +/- 5 min by foot from the hotel. Little playground (sometimes quite dirty...) and "mini-club" for children. Sunbeds always available near the pool and a little portion of private sand beach available. We had a room with a nice view on the pool and the ocean (the only positive point for the room...)
Old and uncomfortable furniture and kitchen equipment (had to ask for microwave oven, water boiler, TV set was initially with only 1 channel, no gas pressure in gas cooker). Wi-fi connection potentially available in the bar, but impossible to connect. Food in the restaurant is quite bad. Pool water (even in the children's pool) is cold. Evening entertaining program was quite annoying... The portion of the village behind the hotel is abandoned offering a very sad view.
Plenty of sunbeds and shade Large Pool No waiting for drinks as self service Close to airport Size of room and clean
Noisey corridors leading to the room
The pool is first class! Clean, with saltwater from the sea. The large living room and dining table, good location, with a bus stop, supernmarket and shops just outside the hotel all made it a great choice for my stay. Thanks.
The hotel refused to provide a sponge and scrub for cleaning the pots and crockery in the apartment. I had booked and apartment with a kitchen, it would make sense to provide the above, so that the guests can clean their pots, plates etc themselves instead of leaving it to the chambermaids.
El apartamento muy cómodo, la comida siempre variada, la piscina Increible y el apartamento limpio. It's a very comfortable and clean flat, the food always is different you can find salads, fish, chicken, beef (really good).
To use wifi inside the hotel is a pain you can do it at the swimming pool area but the router is very small (like a house router) and frequently you lose the connexion.
large pool,friendly staff,large apartments,close to Galletas
Room cleaned every day, very friendly and helpful staff.
Furniture a little bit old, food could be better
Lovely, large room, perhaps a bit much for a single person, but pleasant atmosphere. Lovely variety of food on offer for breakfast, with a beautiful sea view each morning. Nice pool, too.
Complex is a little bit confusing to navigate. Kettle didn't have a power cord but I wasn't planning on having too much tea in the hotel room.
