The hotel itself is quite smart and nice with pleasing decor. Our room was clean and without fault. The staff were always friendly and helpful. It's about 5-10 minutes walk from the pleasant old town and the bus station (in the other direction). We caught the bus up the coast to Bolonia on a couple of days - nice beach with café-bars and fine Roman ruins nearby. (No buses at weekends though). We recommend Bar El Frances in the old town for dinner.

The situation. Much of the immediate surrounding area is like a scruffy building site. Our room had no view - just the wall of a building across the street. There is nowhere in the hotel to sit outside in the sunshine.

Lovely balcony, easy to find location close to many shops and very friendly service

Kind of expensive, soft Marshmello bed, an ok walk from ferry and old town

The man at the front desk when we checked in was amazing! He was so nice and helpful! We used Tarifa as a stopping point to catch an early fairy to Tangier but would have loved to have stayed here a few more nights! The open seating area on the 2nd floor was a nice place for our family to sit and relax.

Very simple, basic hotel room. Nothing fancy. Fine for us for a night.

The staff were so nice, genuine and friendly. Lovely relaxed feel to the place.

Felt the place could do with some modernisation or refurbishment....

The location was very good. The second morning we did receive good treatment by one of the owner/sons. The breakfast very good.

When we checked in, there was NO customer service. I asked about the tours to Tangier and they said they could book them but couldn't tell me anything about the tour. I asked about bus schedules and was told they are in the magazines. Terrible Customer Service on the first day. Mattresses were very hard. The second day we seen cockroaches in our room.

Hotel is close to old city of Tarifa - a 3-4 minute walk gets you inside the old city. Hotel itself is clean and the rooms are good value for the price. The staff were excellent. Helped me locate good place to park - just across the road. Advised on ferry to Tangiers, arranged the trip for us and even drove us to the ferry office the next day. Breakfast included in price.

Nothing really. It's a 2 star hotel that gives you more than you could expect for the price and rating. Not fancy but clean, comofrtable and well located.

Easy walking distance to the old town and the harbour

Too expensive for what it is, but still one of the cheapest hotels in town

Almost everything. No problems with parking - unless you're affraid to walk 100 metres if no success with parking at the premises

Noisy from the inside if neighbours are in a good mood. Doors slam loudly.

The room was fine for our overnight stop. The staff were very friendly, giving us an excellent restaurant recommendation, and even taking us to the bus station in the morning. Recommended!

Wonderful stay at the Alborada, stayed in a lot worse 4 star hotels, can't fault it in any way, planning on returning.

Bit worried about street parking of car, but found a secure car park 2 mins away but cost 14.50 euro,

Clean, professional, very inviting and pleasant staff. Only 5 minute walk to old town center.

Expensive breakfast for toast and coffee. Super bright glaring flourescent bulbs everywhere and in room. Made it seem much cheaper than it is. No views whatsoever. Not a pretty street, but only 5 minute walk to old town.

The kindest and most helpful staff. Lovely rooms and very close to the ferry. The decor is great and we had a nice breakfast. Free wifi.

No parking at all...not anywhere! Frustrating especially as off season. There was a big wad of toilet paper in the bathtub when we arrived - looked like someone had tried to kill a spider lol

Wish we had more time to enjoy breakfast; breakfast area was nice and run by friendly people. Decor throughout hotel nice. Bathrooms were good size, as were the rooms. Good value for the money.

There was sand in my bed and on floor, which made me think sheets weren't changed or cleaned.
