Set in the heart of this charming town, Hostal Alameda provides a great base to explore Tarifa and the surrounding landscape of the Costa de la Luz.

Just 100 metres from Tarifa’s main beach, Pensión Villanueva features a communal sun terrace with sea views. Located on the edge of Tarifa’s old town, it is surrounded by cafés, bars and restaurants.

Benali Guest House is situated in Tarifa's old town, a short walk from the castle. This pretty guest house features free Wi-Fi access and rooms with private balconies and flat-screen TVs.

- Decent location - 10 min walk from the bus stop and about as far from the old town, so we could walk easily with our bags. - Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Biggest problem is you can hear EVERYTHING throughout hotel and adjacent rooms. Bring ear plugs and high tolerance! - The blankets were not well sized for bed, and the bed was not very comfy. We had a hard time sleeping. - The bathroom was clean, but the shower curtain was moldy, so had to keep the bathroom door shut to keep smell from room. We were uncomfortable in this hotel and would not book it again, even with the good value. Just not worth the lack of sleep.
It was my second stay. Great value for money. Love the relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly family run hotel. Notably Raphael, one of the owners, was very nice and helpful!
Great location, just a 5 minute walk from the old town. Easy to park nearby.
The quadruple room was a tight squeeze, but fine for one night.
the room on the first floor was basic but adequate, and the bathroom also ok.
it is more a guesthouse than a hotel. there is no elevator, and wifi connection (and even electricity) was weak/intermittent. what was worse, however, was that the receptionist in charge at night was not only hard to communicate with but also extremely unfriendly and even rude.
The owner was extremely nice and helpful, and spoke great English. The room was very large and very clean. The whole place was spotless and very nice. And the breakfast was excellent. And if you are going to take the ferry to Tangier, the port is about a 10 minute walk away. Excellent in every way!
Helpful staff with fair English. Beautiful room. Lovely balconies and patios.
WiFi inadequate in my room - caused problems; passable in public areas. Building nearby is a dreadful mess.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel Manager was very kind and understanding when we decided to curtail our stay. He even provided a free transfer to the Bus Station .
We felt that a little more choice could be offered for Breakfast.
The cleanliness, comfort and the feeling of being a member of their family.
Can't think of a thing.
More of an hotel than hostel.Staff were extremely helpful and the facilities were very clean and tidy I would stay again
Peaceful, comfortable and clean, and service friendly and helpful. They will make you a nice Spanish breakfast for 5 euros. Room had extra electrical sockets, great for charging mobiles etc.
Area seemed a bit scruffy but it was safe. Not as close to the beach as we expected.
Clean, good soundproofing.
location was convenient walking distance to ferries departing for Tangier.
Warn out foam mattress. Ill fitted bathroom shelf. Controlling shower water temperature was difficult.
Very friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to make you comfortable . They went the "extra mile" to do whatever we needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel . You won't be disappointed !! Dale and Kathy Olson Mpls., Minnesota USA
For a hostel this is a great place. Very clean, super friendly staff.
Attractive hotel. Friendly, accommodating staff.
Breakfast not included.
It was a nice quiet neighborhood. We slept well and had a market close by. The a\c worked well too.
The pillows were pretty lumpy and scarce. The water pressure for the bidet was too low.
Location was good - close to the old city, two supermarkets nearby etc. Very friendly staff.
The room is basic and somewhat smelly. I did not find the bed comfortable. The hotel ask you to leave the key on reception for the room to be cleaned. But even with this the room was never cleaned during our 3 nights stay. The pictures look much nicer than the reality. I understand this is not an expensive hotel, but reasonably you expect much more for this price tag.
The owner's son was so helpful. We had trouble with our car rental and he called and had it all straightened out for us. The hotel was simple but had a very homey feel. We enjoyed it.
Once inside the place is very nice and clean. Breakfast was a good value.
My husband didn't like the looks of the street it was on.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to beach, supermarket, old town and shops
A fridge in each room would have been great
The hotel itself is quite smart and nice with pleasing decor. Our room was clean and without fault. The staff were always friendly and helpful. It's about 5-10 minutes walk from the pleasant old town and the bus station (in the other direction). We caught the bus up the coast to Bolonia on a couple of days - nice beach with café-bars and fine Roman ruins nearby. (No buses at weekends though). We recommend Bar El Frances in the old town for dinner.
The situation. Much of the immediate surrounding area is like a scruffy building site. Our room had no view - just the wall of a building across the street. There is nowhere in the hotel to sit outside in the sunshine.
Staff was helpful in getting the tour to Morocco set up. (Contact them ahead if you want them to set up a private tour. Which we highly recommend you do this instead of the bus tour we took). There was a simple breakfast at a reasonable price. Staff was very friendly.
We ended up with a room that opened to the street level. We were very uneasy about it, but it turned out fine--safe a fairly quiet.
Lovely balcony, easy to find location close to many shops and very friendly service
Kind of expensive, soft Marshmello bed, an ok walk from ferry and old town
The man at the front desk when we checked in was amazing! He was so nice and helpful! We used Tarifa as a stopping point to catch an early fairy to Tangier but would have loved to have stayed here a few more nights! The open seating area on the 2nd floor was a nice place for our family to sit and relax.
Very simple, basic hotel room. Nothing fancy. Fine for us for a night.
