Alcazar  

Excellent location,we recommend this hotel who want's to visit all the sites of seville, you are close enough to go on foot. We used the bus from the airport and it stops just up the road from the hotel walking distance.As from the other reviews we have booked on bed only and we had b'fast next door , good value for money. We have found an excellent restaurant close the hotel the name is el 3 de oro restaurant it's in sta maria la blanca street we were extremely satisfied with the food !! We have really enjoyed our holiday in Seville !!

City center. easy access by foot. Hotel offers safe parking

Location was great. Right next to the bust station. Especially good if you are going to a concert at the Olympic Stadium as we were. Spotlessly clean, pleasant staff and an ample breakfast.

Location near old town was perfect for our needs.

It is very convient near the bus stop from the airport and the centre of the city.

As I stayed during the Spring Fair I payed over twice the normal room price and had to pay one-half up front, definately not worth it may be acceptable at normal room rates.There was dust on the furniture enough to coat my sunglasses. The lift is up a flight of stairs and there is no-one to help with luggage, would not be suitable for anyone with any kind of mobility difficulties. There is no bar or facilities for a hot drink, machine in lobby was not operating and staff generally not very helpful.

The location is excellent and so you need to weigh up the pro's and con'S. On arrival Manuel at reception was good in providing advice in good english. Be warned that they want full payment on arrival and so we suggest you ask to see your room first before handing over the credit card. The room was small but able to fit our two large suitcases and was at the back of the hotel on a street. The floors were grubby as per dirt on the soles of our feet, and since there was "no airconditioning or heating until next month when it wil be turned on" (when we enquired) we had to open windows to foul sewerage stench outside. If you require a quiet hotel then this is not for you, as the corridors are serious echo chambers that reverberate to inconsiderate guests and doors that slam with a real bang. The WiFi is only wep system and so if you dont have that you cant get it. If parking watch the entrance as it is seriously tight. The breakfast at 11.50 pp was not of value and a cheaper options were available 25 metres down the street. The bathroom was good and clean and tv even had the bbc for a fix of english international news! A telling point was when we saw a well todo Spanish family arrive, check in and 20mins later were back down checking out and having an obvious discussion about payment. But remember the location is great.

The location was perfect for visiting the highlights of Sevilla: the cathedral and the Alcazar are just a short walk through the park and the winding streets. Hotel parking was available and the staff were excellent. We had a quiet room at the back and had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was adequate and the coffee was very good. We recommend El 3 de Oro for dinner and it is a only short walk from the hotel.

There are no tea / coffee making facilities in the room.

The location was fantastic - could walk to all the main sights and plenty of eating places to choose from nearby. Being on a main road thought traffic noise would be bad but the double windows helped reduce the level of noise so sleeping was fine. Breakfast was fine - easy access.

Service and location were good. It was very easy to get a taxi and walk to the Alcazar and the Cathedral.

The room was very small and we were hoping to have air conditioner, the first night was a little bit hot.

Good location. Nice common areas, i.e., the reception, lobby and breakfast room.

We were not told that breakfast was part of our room upon check-in, nor did the reservation clearly indicate that it was part of the charge. We missed 2 days of breakfast (for four people) because of this. The beds were not comfortable, especially the double bed in one of the two rooms we booked. The bathrooms adjacent to the lobby (down some stairs) apparently had no ventaltion and smelled horrible. The cost of $1100 euros for four nights, parents and two grown children, was very high. We do not believe it was a good value and would not return to this hotel.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and their efficiency. The common areas are well appointed.

A very minor point: the safety box could have been placed in each room rather than down precipitous steps.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and it had the perfect location for a short stay in Seville.

This was a very nice modern hotel, with lovely comfortable lounge areas and spacious rooms.At least our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and warm (important as it was cold during our stay in Seville), and had a couple of chairs. The hotel is well situated, just outside the Santa Cruz district and in easy walking distance of the Cathedral and Alcazar. Although it's on a busy main road we didn't get any traffic noise as our room overlooked an internal courtyard, and it made it easy to find with a car - the hotel also has it's own garage which is well signposted. Overall very good value for money.

The soundproofing between the rooms wasn't great, but probably no worse than many other hotels.
