Nearly got my head trapped x2 by the lift doors!!! Why don't Spanish hotels put a kettle etc in the room---it'd make life so much easier
Breakfast very good but same every day. Clean Location very good Value for money
Towels tired Dated decor, needed a woman,s touch!
Staff was great
Kind of imtemidating outside there the hotel later in evening
The hotel is located in a very convenient spot with all the important sights and places within a walking distance. All the staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and warm. I was very satisfied
Room not big enough for 4 people and should not be advertise as such.
Everithing is tidy and clean. Good service and kind staff
the bathroom had mold. ceiling was falling down in bathroom. odd layout and extremely small. bed uncomfortable. said breakfast was included but it wasn't.
Clean, comfortable, lots of restaurants and bars close by, metro also close by and friendly staff.
Parking was a little bit of a pain to get to but we managed.
Location and efficient staff
Bedroom was small. Noisy neighbours and I thought the bed linen was not very crisp and clean as is usual.
We liked the fact that there were no carpets; more hygienic. The staff were very polite and breakfast was good and at a reasonable price. The decor was very smart too.
I would have loved to have a little kettle to make myself a night cap!
Staff amability. Location. General confort of the room. Value for money.
Nothing in special.
Location was very central, hotel very clean, had read reviews about it being a poor breakfast, in my opinion this is not so, it was a normal continental breakfast which was fine
N/a, no dislikes
The location is excellent. Everything is reachable. The hotel is clean with a fairly good breakfast. Staff very helpful.
Had a booking for 4 nights and decided to add an other extra night ( 1 month before my arrival) . When arriving at the hotel I was assured that all was ok. After the 2nd day I got to know that for the last night me & my friends were being transferred to an other Hotel because there seem to be a problem. The hotel turned out to be a hostal , way out of the centre and the value of money we paid for the Sterling was not the same. Such a pity after such a wonderful stay at the Sterling and Madrid.
Location in a quite street and close to amenities. Rooms have their own toilet and bathroom facilities. Breakfast is good and adequate even for brunch.
Nothing to complain about for the price we paid for three nights.
- very good location - clean room - good price for quality - very friendly at reception desk
- breakfast very basic - personnel not always friendly
The hotel was nice we'll locted
Had to to go to a store beside the hotel to buy ice...
The location was far enough off the Gran Via that it wasn't too noisy and close to a metro station so getting around was easy. The room was great with a balcony and the staff were very helpful and spoke English very well.
The air conditioner in the room didn't work very well and seemed to only kick in during the middle of the night. The breakfast was very poor, not much of a selection, cheap cold cuts, stewed coffee and stale roles. Don't waste money on this as there is a nice Jamoneria just along the road with real coffee, eggs and bacon.
Upon arrival they said the airconditioning was not working in our room and asked if we would like to relocate to a sister hotel on the Puerta Del Sol which I knew would be noisy. When I declined they said they could give us a room where the airconditioning worked. It didn't for the first night!
+ The location, is in the heart of Madrid + The staff was really helpfull and professional + Nice rooms and bathroom. + The whole hotel looks good. + Breakfast included in the room.
- They could have had a more diverse and complete breakfast. But for a 3-star hotel this is standard.
Location is good, staff is friendly.
Helpful reception staff. Lovely breakfast. Good location
A lot of street noise at night made it hard to get a good night sleep.
counter staff helpful
The beds were creaky and not solid, the food for breakfast was the same daily,at times the cold milk was stale and butter rancid.
