The most impressive aspect was the food. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with variety, quality and quantity in equal measure. The new chef was excellent and the evening meals were absolutely delicious, fairly priced, a nice insight into local cuisine and the portions were large to say the least. We left dinner completely stuffed on more than one occassion (and breakfast for that matter)! The room was very clean, tidy and nicely made up everyday. As far as I could tell all rooms had a lovely sea view and just to sit and marvel at the mediteranian in the morning or evening was just the thing to help unwind. The room was just what we were hoping for and we were extremely happy with this aspect of our stay. The pool area was perfect; clean, tidy, peaceful and perfect for enjoying the sun with the right mixture of shaded and sunlit areas. The pool itself was refreshing to say the least, being as it was, unheated while we were there. However, this did not put us off swimming everyday with the added bonus that it helped digest the delights from the previous evening and that morning! The waiting staff in the hotel were fabulous; knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and the right combination of professionalism and personability, which is hard to find. I cant rate them highly enough! The town itself is perfect for a romantic or relaxing trip, with interesting boutiques, beachfront restaurants and scenic walks along the picturesque rocky coast or small beaches; all the while maintaining a slightly more exclusive feel as it contains none of the multistorey souless hotels or throngs of british tourists. Overall, we loved our stay and will almost certainly return to the hotel. We returned home feeling refreshed if a little heavier!

Tiny points really but I will mention them for the sake of fairness. Some may find the beds a little firm, We found them comfortable but thats our taste. Lack of a barman in the evenings was evident for most of our stay but I have a feeling that was down to us being there early in the season. No wifi reception in the rooms. As I said these are very minor points and really were hardly noticeable.

General pleasant ambiance and helpful staff. In particular, the pleasant grounds and nicely sized, well maintained swimming pool. The breakfast is the best I've had in any hotel.

The air conditioning broke in our room which we reported three times before someone came to have a look. They were very apologetic but seemed unable to attempt to fix it and gave us a fan instead. Considering the high price of the rooms, I would expect an engineer to be called promptly but there was no sense of urgency even though it was very hot.

The reception desk staff were very friendly and helpful especially when an emergency arose.The breakfast buffet was excellent.There is a large pool and attractive gardens. It is very close to the centre of town but it is also quiet and peaceful

Some "Superior" rooms overlook the car park and they provide a dispiriting view in an otherwise excellent hotel.. This is not apparent from the hotel description.The hotel has a car park but it is not big enough for all the guests - however parking spaces in the streets nearby are not difficult to find.

The hotel is in a good location easy to walk to the beach. The staff were helpful and moved us to a family room as soon as one became free. Breakfast was excellent.

Parking was limited although we got a space. We didn't use the pool because you weren't allowed to use it before 11am or after 7 pm which is a shame.

The excellent views and beautiful gardens in which a lovely pool. Food is good and reasonably priced. The staff is helpful and friendly .

The entire hotel is refurbished with new furniture, although not totally ready. Some rooms remain in the "old state" . So ask for the new rooms.

Well located, very nicely hosted, very nice environment, beautiful garden and very nice pool, excellent breakfast (best in my travelling around Europe), free parking, nice view from the room.

I thought the welcome was very good, staff were very helpful and very friendly.The grounds were magnificent and the restaurant was clean and very light and bright. Prices were very good. Only complaint was that the room we had although very good we only had a view of a rooftop it would have been nice to have had a view of the gardens and/or swimming pools.
