-The location was superb -The views were amazing -The traditional feel of the hotel, good old fashioned service -The valet parking service -No noise at night
-I thought the food in the bar area was overpriced. As the buffet wasn't open (maybe due to time of year) the only other choice was a la carte
I love this hotel with it's Moorish décor. It's location up above the city gives a superb vista (or it should do!) especially at night. Ideally located for a visit to The Alhambra, but not too far to walk down the winding lanes to the City. The appointments and décor in the hotel are excellent - staff superb - couldn't do enough.
On this visit, the view from my suite was marred by a Lime tree. My vista of the City was obscured and my sleep was disturbed by a branch banging/ scraping on the window. Eventually I got up and broke it off.
Location quite near the Alhambra with free parking. Nice and helpful personnel. Value for money.
Restaurant a little bit disappointing...
The location, architecture, interior, views etc of the hotel were excellent. Lovely ambience`.
The food was not good, badly done and presented and very poor value for money. Breakfast was particularly poor.
The history, the architecture, the view, the climate
MAGNIFICENT ANDALUSIAN PALACE-LIKE DECOR WITH SPACIOUS BEDROOM AND LARGE BATHROOM. VERY GOOD BREAKFAST SPREAD. RESTAURANT FISH DISHES WERE FRESH AND WELL COOKED.
10 MINS DOWNHILL WALK TO TOWN.
Single beds jammed together. No wi-fi
Location Views History
Dinner Menu a little expensive
Excellent service from all staff members, especially the front desk. Nice big rooms and feeling of spaciousness. So close to the Alhambra. Easy access by bus into town.
Minor point, but could have done with tea making facilities in the room.
Room with city view is very nice, triple room is spacious. Tapas in lounge is delicious and its view overlooking the city is a huge plus. Best of all, hotel is only 10 min walk to Alhambra!
Can't think of any
Everything, even it was a bit far to go to center by feet.
Noise in bar in the night.
Lovely and helpful staff with good English, nothing was too much trouble. They also arranged car hire for us. Everything was newly painted and fresh, stylish decor. Great breakfast. Right next to the Alhambra. Great views of Granada. Would certainly recommend.
Not cheap, but you get what you pay for! We just ate breakfast at the hotel and went in to town for evening meals where there was plenty of choice (10-15 mins down a steep hill or you can easily catch a bus). Would have loved a jacuzzi/hot tub facility
The views we had from our room were spectacular, giving us the opportunity for some wonderful day & night time photos. The hotel was ideally located for both walking into town and to the Alhambra.
Was surprised to see there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and had a sense of fun. The hotel was decorated beautifully in the style of The Nasrid Palaces. Only a short stroll to the Alhambra. Happy Memories of the Terrace Bar! Exceptionally clean and commodious loos!
Valet service for parking our car. The room was quite small but we had a huge private terrace with a little view of the Alhambra. Very good bus connection into town. Fantastic view over Granada. Breakfast was o.k.
The staff who were obliging The restaurant had a stunning view of the city Easy to get to places of interest by public transport
The lift motor room above my bedroom
Gorgeous views and beautiful interiors. Close proximity to The Alhambra was perfect for our trip.
location near palace and old city
we thought restaurant facilities were dated; we did not like smoking going on outside bar area.
We were given a room on the top floor with a huge terrace and a lovely view, which we particularly appreciated. The sunny terrace had a great view so we ate lunch there every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious both in the restaurant or from the bar, and the spacious and beautifully decorated lounge and eating areas made for a relaxing and very enjoyable stay.
Spectacular views of the mountains and city; large, tiled bathroom, cozy bedroom; good service' proximity to the Alhambra Palace; unique, classy, historic hotel; interesting pathway to the city from the hotel, along the Palace property and then past local shops and craftsmen.
The location is excellent for accessing the palace, but a distance away from the city centre for returning in the evening. However, there are always cabs available at a reasonable cost.
Charming service in reception. Excellent bar. View & proximity to sites. Hotel very comfortable.
Carpets need replacing thoughout. Bar can get busy.
Really good location. We had bought the Granada card which made it really easy for us to travel in granada. The views from the hotel were really good, the hotel itself with its lobby etc was breathtaking, the staff professional, the rooms comfortable.
They didn't allow us to have a tea kettle in our room because of it being a fire hazard. No complimentary water. Breakfast too expensive. Not worth the variety. Can't believe I'm saying this because it sounds like I'm being nit picky but the lift was so jerky it actually made me avoid it and take the stairs.
had a delicious lunch in the restaurant, very good service there very nicely decorated
Every thing was good
wi-fi was weak and the bed not comfortable
