Great location and got a good deal on price. Loved the breakfast kitchen and felt very comfortable using the facilities it offered. Room 106 was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the street with free entertainment from buskers in the evening. Would certainly stay here again.
The toilet engine which I think is a macerator? It made a heck of a noise like a drill.
No doors in toiletroom
the room was clean, well situated, we had great time hanging out on little balcony and listening to street musicians! Also free breakfast was nice with great coffee :)
the shower was blocked and little mouldy and toilet didnt flush properly, but for one night stay we overlooked this as minor fault.
Good design and location just in the city centre. Very clean.
As our room looked to the streets it was quite noisy at Fri and Sat's nights. I would not relay on the breakfast provided (tea-coffee and some sweet pastry) but the commom kitchen is at your disposal and there are plenty of places around. Open toilet in the room gives too little intimacy)))
The hotel is center of old town which name is Casco Viejo. Near public transportation.Free use of kitchen facilities. Beautiful room looks out on the old town streets with large windows. Very clean and comfortable.Small table and two chairs. Walking distance to the important place. 3 minutes from the river.
Location Room layout Pull down shutter reduced street noise Staff response was quick (Altho totally virtual)
Lumpy mattress Mold on shower base - needs new caulking Totally virtual checkin and checkout was unexpected and somewhat unsettling (for our generation) but it worked out fine
Location - center of old town, 2 minutes from the river, cathedral, 20 min walk along the river to the Museum Room - spacious bad, huge windows, nice although small bathroom, small table and 2 chairs was a sympatetic accent, nice decoration Open kitchen to all guests with coffee machine, basic products (tea, coffee, milk, bread, juice), frige
Noise (1st floor in the old town is a noisy place at night) Breakfest is self made from products in the kitchen (no cheese, ham or vegetables)
Very nice welcome staff
Strict checkout times and very meager breakfast
The location in the heart of the old town was perfect and the room was maybe the loveliest one I have ever seen! Would absolutely return anytime!
Do bear in mind that the bathroom doesn't offer much privacy and that it can get quite loud at night.
I enjoyed the location of this B&B as I loved the square just near it and the pintxos available
There were a few things i didnt enjoy about this room including the fact that on arrival no one meets you it is self check in. When we arrived i was exhausted and looking forward to a sleep however i noticed that there were strange stains on the flat sheet and a cigarette hole in the fitted sheet not to mention the bed itself was uncomfortable. Water pressure is pretty much a dribble and street noise is pretty high. I was expecting more for the price we paid
location is ideal. the fruits and self service fridge.
no staff, and no confirmation on how to be charged. I wanted to pay with cash, but there was nobody. The area didn't feel safe for female solo traveler especially when there is no staff. stairway very dark. my shower had almost no warm water. very loud , no soundproof what so ever and I am use to loud noise from NYC and Berlin.
The location was fantastic - in the center of the old town near the Plaza Nueva (a great spot for many pinxtos bars).
First of all, nobody really mans the desk at the B&B. We came and went numerous times throughout the day and didn't see anyone except a cleaning lady once. She didn't speak english but called the owner, so i spoke to her over the phone to arrange payment. We barely slept for 2 nights on account of the noise in the street below. The breakfast was AWFUL - a gross old coffee machine, a kettle and a loaf of white bread with packages of jam, plus some cake. We thought we might see an innkeeper at breakfast, but they never showed and it was self-service. On the second day, a staff member did show up and I asked for directions to the bus. She didn't even know where the closest metro was to the B&B and told me it would take 15-20 minutes on the metro to the bus station (it took about 2). The bathroom was outdated and grimy, and there was an odd/disgusting toilet pump that made a ton of loud gurgles whenever you ran water. Water pressure in shower was weak and there wasn't much hot water. All and all, aside from the location this place is a waste of money. You're better off staying elsewhere in Bilbao!
Very clean, nice location.
Toilet has no door.
The location was great! Near public transportation and at a wonderful crossroads of two pedestrian streets. The corner room was delightful -- if goldfish-bowl. Wonderful to eat breakfast and watch the passing parade. The maid was ver. We wy friendly and obviously efficient and the person at the end who took our credit card was warm and delightful. We would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
mattresses were too firm for our old bones personless check in is odd and there is an advantage to being able to ask a real person about subway, tram, bus lines. A little difficult to know what should happen about paying bill at the end, but when we did come face to face with someone she was very nice. Using email to communicate worked pretty well -- our request for two more pillows (we were supplied with one each -- not enough to read in bed or even sleep comfortably) was miraculously answered with two more pillows. A little strange not to have a bathroom door
Very nicely design, modern and comfortable. Even if it is in the centre it is not noisy. Free use of kitchen facilities makes you feel at home.
If anything, staff is only available at certain times of the day.
It was on a nice street in the old town.
It was very very noisy! The toilet was in the bedroom and it did not have a door. It was separated with a frosted glass half way. There was no proper kitchen-just one bar and 2 chairs. You have to prepare your breakfast yourself.
Incredible location, right in the heart of Casco Viejo (old town). Room very pretty, comfortable and clean.
Noise from the streets below. Shower didn't drain properly and water would overflow onto the bathroom floor. We found it weird the way we only spoke to the owner/manager through the intercom.
Great Location in the old town, super clean and easy 'no fuss' check in and check out. We didnt even see any of the staff except when we paid our bill at the end of our stay. Nice thick curtains to block the light out for sleep in the morning.
Could potentially be noisy as walls are paper thin in between rooms and noise coming from street but we didnt have any problems with other guests.
The relaxed atmosphere, shower was great, staff were friendly and helpful, location was great.
Nice concept, beautiful place.
The hotel is in a good location. The room was very clean. We enjoyed our stay there.
Because of the setup they have for conserving water the bathroom was making noises after flushing or after a shower. They could also add just a couple of shelves to put stuff on. The breakfast was okay but we didn't like that we had to make our own coffee because if we were up too early we felt we were making too much noise opening and closing doors, running water, etc, and the rooms are right next to the breakfast area.
it's a great plAce, way better than hotels i have paid the same for.
had the floors not been squeaky, it would have been the perfect place to stay in bilbao. oh and you would have to be really comfortable with the person you are sharing the room with, there is absolutely no privacy, and there is no other place in the apartment to go and sit so you can't shoo them out either.
Price was right, good location
Beautiful room looks out on the old-town streets with large windows. Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast too.
The shower had some drainage problems. The hotel has unusual auto-check-in requirements which caused some confusion.
