The location was fantastic - in the center of the old town near the Plaza Nueva (a great spot for many pinxtos bars).

First of all, nobody really mans the desk at the B&B. We came and went numerous times throughout the day and didn't see anyone except a cleaning lady once. She didn't speak english but called the owner, so i spoke to her over the phone to arrange payment. We barely slept for 2 nights on account of the noise in the street below. The breakfast was AWFUL - a gross old coffee machine, a kettle and a loaf of white bread with packages of jam, plus some cake. We thought we might see an innkeeper at breakfast, but they never showed and it was self-service. On the second day, a staff member did show up and I asked for directions to the bus. She didn't even know where the closest metro was to the B&B and told me it would take 15-20 minutes on the metro to the bus station (it took about 2). The bathroom was outdated and grimy, and there was an odd/disgusting toilet pump that made a ton of loud gurgles whenever you ran water. Water pressure in shower was weak and there wasn't much hot water. All and all, aside from the location this place is a waste of money. You're better off staying elsewhere in Bilbao!

The location was great! Near public transportation and at a wonderful crossroads of two pedestrian streets. The corner room was delightful -- if goldfish-bowl. Wonderful to eat breakfast and watch the passing parade. The maid was ver. We wy friendly and obviously efficient and the person at the end who took our credit card was warm and delightful. We would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

mattresses were too firm for our old bones personless check in is odd and there is an advantage to being able to ask a real person about subway, tram, bus lines. A little difficult to know what should happen about paying bill at the end, but when we did come face to face with someone she was very nice. Using email to communicate worked pretty well -- our request for two more pillows (we were supplied with one each -- not enough to read in bed or even sleep comfortably) was miraculously answered with two more pillows. A little strange not to have a bathroom door

Very nicely design, modern and comfortable. Even if it is in the centre it is not noisy. Free use of kitchen facilities makes you feel at home.

If anything, staff is only available at certain times of the day.

It was on a nice street in the old town.

It was very very noisy! The toilet was in the bedroom and it did not have a door. It was separated with a frosted glass half way. There was no proper kitchen-just one bar and 2 chairs. You have to prepare your breakfast yourself.

Incredible location, right in the heart of Casco Viejo (old town). Room very pretty, comfortable and clean.

Noise from the streets below. Shower didn't drain properly and water would overflow onto the bathroom floor. We found it weird the way we only spoke to the owner/manager through the intercom.

Great Location in the old town, super clean and easy 'no fuss' check in and check out. We didnt even see any of the staff except when we paid our bill at the end of our stay. Nice thick curtains to block the light out for sleep in the morning.

Could potentially be noisy as walls are paper thin in between rooms and noise coming from street but we didnt have any problems with other guests.

The hotel is in a good location. The room was very clean. We enjoyed our stay there.

Because of the setup they have for conserving water the bathroom was making noises after flushing or after a shower. They could also add just a couple of shelves to put stuff on. The breakfast was okay but we didn't like that we had to make our own coffee because if we were up too early we felt we were making too much noise opening and closing doors, running water, etc, and the rooms are right next to the breakfast area.

it's a great plAce, way better than hotels i have paid the same for.

had the floors not been squeaky, it would have been the perfect place to stay in bilbao. oh and you would have to be really comfortable with the person you are sharing the room with, there is absolutely no privacy, and there is no other place in the apartment to go and sit so you can't shoo them out either.

Beautiful room looks out on the old-town streets with large windows. Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast too.

The shower had some drainage problems. The hotel has unusual auto-check-in requirements which caused some confusion.

Location - walking distance to almost everything, including the Guggenheim, although the tram service was useful (I trammed to the museum and walked back). Special mention to the young woman in charge - she was friendly and very helpful. Room was very spacious and clean. A good stay.

    Everything was very good.

Perhaps inprove the amount of warm water in the shower and inprove the highness of the pillows. But this are only details.

best location in the middle of old town

We had to make our own coffee and although some pastry and fruit were provided on the counter for breakfast I would not call this a Bed and Breakfast since it was self serve - like do your own dishes self serve.

The organisation was very good. Minimal contact with people/staff was fine as long as things were good. Value for money excellent considering location.

Great value with breakfast included. However fresh fruit and bread/cake would be a treat.

Nice, large room, nicely equipped. Good location near city centre.

Bathroom being open to the bedroom. Could not drive up to the hotel as this area of old town is closed to the traffic outside of morning hours 8-11. They don't have their own parking.Public parking is about 500 M. away (€17.60/d). No elevator in this uderground parking or in the B&B, so it is quite an exercise if you have heavy luggage. Breakfast is selve-serve style. You take it from the fridge and are expected to clean after yourself. It is not 'served' as described on the website.

The invidivual room (or at least one of them, if there are some) doesn't have any natural light. The window faces a dark patio so the result is that there seems to be no window.

The location of this B&B is perfect, right in the old town. The room was very clean. You are able to make your own tea/coffee, they supply butter, orange juice and some pastries for breakfast. There is a toaster and microwave. The room was cleaned everyday. Also very easy to find, a great base for exploring Bilbao. Staff very friendly as well.

There is no door for the bathroom so you need to be comfortable going to loo with whoever you are sharing with :-). The room we stayed in was facing onto the street so you could hear everything in the morning and night time.

The location and the building were great, beautiful and historical. The service was wonderful and everyone was very helpful.

I didn't really have any negative experiences but there were two things that I know some people would have a problem with: 1. Noisy at night. There is an active night life and you will hear conversations going on below. 2. The breakfast is good but it is very much a "do it yourself" kind of set up. Like I said I didn't mind this but others might.

There should be at least one person in the hotel, it was like an empty place. Anybody was there, every thing organized without any person.

Location and ease of access to breakfast. Bright spacious room

Lack of privacy in the open plan bathroom
