AC Hotel Almería by Marriott    

We arrived at 11 am and enquired if we could have our rooms early, they were very accommodating and booked us in there and then. We also asked that our 3 rooms be close to one another and they did this also. The hotel was very clean and the rooms had everything you needed. The reception staff recommended a very good restaurant and arranged for a free bottle of 'bubbly' as it was my 50th birthday.

Be aware that some of the rooms are quite small yet the same price. I did tell them it was my birthday but somehow managed to get the smallest room!

Staff was very friendly and attentive, excellent location. Parking on site is the best asset.

Signals to the hotel on the street are very confusing and they do not take you to it. Breakfast starts late by international standards at 8am, so don't pre-pay for it if you have an early departure.

Grilled meat quality could improve . Too much waste.

Good location and private parking, staff very good and found us premier league football to watch.

The bed was very small, we staying during a long drive in Spain so not very relaxed and shower was pretty poor.

I appreciated the attitude of the staff. They were unobtrusive but always there when information or assistance was required. The whole hotel interior design was appealing. Simple but tasteful. My wife and I found the experience of staying at the hotel to be most relaxing. A good restaurant attached

The lack of free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is the only negative comment that I can make.

Once again we enjoyed a fantastic stay in Ac, The staff were as usual brilliant and the room we had overlooking the town was fantastic. Almeria is a superb place to visit, with shops and bars galore. Thank you hotel Ac Almeria.

Location, free mini-bar, price-value

Very helpful and friendly staff, centrally located, easy walking to everything, pleasant surroundings.

One way systems were a bit tricky, and road closures meant a lot of circling around trying to access the hotel. Had an interior facing room so had no view and aircon shaft blowing outside window which was noisy.

Good location and spacious room. Staff were friendly, helpful and some spoke English.

City Centre location. Free mini-bar (no booze though). On site/underground parking. Nice roof-top pool.

Very difficult to find (we were driving)

The bedroom was first class, reception staff very good and overall it was very good value. It was a very clean hotel.

The Terrace around the swimmimng pools was not open and the reception area bar was very small with no atmosphere.

Staff really arrogant and unhelpful, breakfast for 13 euro is a joke. Wi-fi only on the first floor.

Everything was upto our standard and we enjoyed our stay.tapas bars galore just around the corner.

Nice location in the centre, close to restaurants and nightlife. Pool on rooftop. No bar service in pool area. Parking in basement with elevator is excellent. . Breakfast is OK. The hotel does not have a real bar, but wirhin 100 metre there are a few. Rooms are nice and clean. Good beds. Nice decor. Good bathroom.

Parking too expensive. Breakfast OK, but have seen better. Because the hotel is in 2 different buildings, there can be difference in heights, and steps. You have too look where you are walking.

Excellent value for money hotel. Rooms large , clean and modern. Swimming pool is small but the terrace has a beatiful view Good and competitive Breakfast

Difficult to arrive Car parking managed only by the staff

This hotel is well situated, and well indicated, in the city center of Almeria. The rooms are neat and tidy as they should be in a four star hotel, and with a free mini bar (during our stay). Breakfast buffet was diverse and tasteful. The pool had a large terrace with plenty of beds and towels. The optional valet car parking (16 euro/day) at the hotel was well serviced. Reception staff were helpful in recommending restaurants, bars, beaches, etc.

The beds were not four star quality. The pool bar was closed during our stay, nor was it possible to get a drink at the normal bar during the afternoon. Reception staff did not know opening times of musea.

Only good feature was location - that is - once it was found. However access to hotel extremely difficult. We arrived by car. Sign post ioutside and indicating hotel is at waist height and impossible to see . We missed on first attempt at finding it.

We chose this Marriott Hotel because of the reputation and standard of Marriott hotels in the UK.and which we have had much experience. This hotel failed completely to match Marriott standards and we are surprised that Marriott has associated its name with it. The twin room allocated only had one chair. TThe room was cramped and he view was of a backyard The TV was situated in a position behind a wardrobe and which could not be seen by one guest lying in bed. The front carpet was torn and old and could be regarded as a danger for tripping. We noted however that it was replaced during our two day stay. The staff were totally inadequate for reception. They could not speak or understand english well- which should not be the case for a 4 star hotel in a major city. A bedside light bulb was not working. WE asked for it to be replaced and iwere nformed that nobody could do it until Monday. WE were there on a weekend. Altogether an unpleasant experience. and a hotel which I would advise english speaking guests to avoid. Altogether an unsatisfactory experience which I shall be reporting to Marriott Europe

The swimming pool area was nice. Location of the hotel is good.

The room was old and noisy. The view from the window was a closed courtward with a noisy airconditioning, for this reason was not possible to open the window. The personnel was not really taking care of the guests.

Convenient for the city centre and local attractions.

A bit soulless - it had no buzz about it, unlike most other city centre hotels.

For the price, this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Great location in the historical old town of Almeria.

Very comfortable and quiet room. Menu del dia in La Cata was excellent value served by a knowledgeable and friendly waiter. Car parking service excellent and very secure.
