We stayed at the Almijara using it as a base, travelling on day-trips to the Alhambra in Granada, roadtripping the mountainside and visiting the Nerja-caves. All these in comfortable distance when using a car. Even for being december, definitely out of season, the hotel and its staff were in season-mode - good breakfast and lunch-buffet on holiday. Beach is close and restaurants alon the seaside were open even at that time of year. Ask for a room to the backside. The road in front is busy at night and the noise echoes upwards in the narrow road.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. I thought that the parking was slightly expensive but that has not stopped me stsying there four times.

We have stayed at the Almiara before and enjoyed it. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, airy and clean and well maintained. The restaurant buffets were excellent.

Peaceful and relaxing few days. Would recommend to my friends and family this hotel. I didn't eat at the hotel as not enough information was provided about the food experience at the hotel, I could not see a menu on display and no menus were provided in the room. Also no opening and closing times of the bars was provided which would help guests. Other than that I though the hotel was great.

My Wife and I stayed for nine days. We were very comfortable, and the breakfast was more than adequate when we decided to rise. On the last night my Wife hurt her arm and the Lady on night duty was more than helpful by providing cotton wool for the wound, and then organising the ambulance. Apart from the injury, a most enjoyable stay.

Very good 3 star hotel, clean & tidy everywhere. The room was a good size and we had a furnished terrace. The roof terrace was lovely, breakfast adequate. Would definately return. Although free wifi in lounge & on roof terrace it would be nice to have it in the rooms as well, just a small point.

Hotel was recommended by a relation who lives in Almunecar, an excellent choice. Accommodation, breakfast on the terrace, the attentive staff, the overall cleaniness and the Saturday buffet, means that we would have no hesitation in staying again.

The Staff are attentive and the rooms are very comfortable, very clean and weel maintained. The Hotel is a stones throw from the village centre and the beach and the tarriff very reasonable. I have stayed at the Hotel several times over the past couple of years and can find very little to fault. If I had to be picky then might I suggest that many of the towels need replacing. They are always beautifully clean and fresh but are in need of replacement.

the location of the hotel is spot on and to be honest the only hotel in La Herradura that is open all year round. Staff friendly and helpful. 2nd time I have stayed at the hotel.

We were only there for one night, but we loved the sheltered balcony and sea view. The parakeets in the palm tree outside were great. The breakfast in the room with the old photos was good value. The parking, but were helped to find a free space

“Lovely place run by french couple. Really nice guesthouse with cosy rooms and great seaview from balcony and roof terrace. Simple but tasty breakfast and extremely nice and helpful owners (english speaking which is rare in Spain). Rooms are equipped with fridge, aircondition and basicly with everything we needed.
