Alondra Villas y Suites    

Alondra Villas are exquisite, simply outstanding in every way! We stayed at Alondra to celebrate a 50th birthday with family and friends and we received a complementary upgrade to the Grand Suite, which is out of this world. Wine and snacks were left complementary upon our arrival and on the day of the birthday the manager sent a bottle of red wine. The cleaning staff came everyday at a time we requested and the pool was cleaned daily too. Alondra is up on a bit of a hill which is only less than 10 mins to the port and 15 to the beach and strip. Taxis are unbelievably cheap costing only 3-4 euros from the beach. I would highly recommend Alondra to anyone.

Very little to pick at here, Alondra was fantastic. If I had to pick something it would be the ants in the garden. Obviously ants are gonna be everywhere once you have grass and this can't really be helped but they often ended up in the pool which is not pleasant to swim in, which is why we were delighted to see the pool cleaned each day! The pool is not heated but by June this is not a problem as the weather is hot and the sun heats the pool.

The villas are very nice and very spacious. Private swimmingpool is great for the kids (not too big). Villas and swimming pool are cleaned every day. Location is close to the village and harbour.

The kitchen is somewhat outdated.

Pool could have been warmer

A very nice quiet location, far from busy life and noise, but there are two fine supemarkets nearby and many restaraunts, cafe and pubs in 5- minute walk down the hill. It is the great point to travel from around the island. The suit kitchen is greatly equipped, that was very convinient while coooking for the child The suit is well desighed and planned, two families can not bother each other The pool area is really nice, very green and full of flowers Cleaning service is wonderful and fast Reception is very helpful and friendly We would defiently recommend it if one can afford

The wify is a slow nightmare, we had to buy router from vodafone to have the internet access The pool is a bit cold( April) Some ants( but in Canaries they are everywhere, like pets :-)

That the entire development was beautifully laid out and established with trees & planting the villa was tastefully furnished and well thought out

I liked the suites very much. Spacious and well equipped kitchen so home cooked meals easily could be made. The area where Alondra is situated is a bit away from the hustle and bustle and with invigorating uphill walks from the beach/shopping it is much recommended with strollers for the youngest ones. We had children aged 5 and 6 with us and after a day of sun and wind it was good with the strollers to not exhaust them. The cleaning ladies made it clean in no time and the pool guy too. The heated pool in the common area is a great place and when it was super windy we placed our sun beds in the right corner and then it felt like being in another country. That goes for the suit as well. To place the sun beds outside the kitchen entrance made for a wind free sunspot we could enjoy even if it was January. The receptionists at Alondra were all nice and helpful! I would recommend my friends to go there but take in consideration the facts of the super cool pool with out heating in the months of winter, the location and the overall 'charter' feeling as soon as you leave the sanctuary of Alondra.

We totally missed the part that the private pools were not heated. A big minus for that one. It was not possible to pay extra to get it heated either because there is no heating system in the private pools. The cleaning ladies were noisy and chattering like hens when they were around. Sometimes it sounded like they were fighting. They did clean but they did not do the dishes. And they made it pretty clear that they wanted a tip. I think it is better that the hotel includes the tip in the price because I for one hate when I have to have the cleaning ladies wandering around when I eat breakfast. I would prefer that they clean when I am out of my suit/villa and return when they are done. It was unclear if we were supposed to tip the gardener of other staff as well. The gardener seemed a bit sour by the end of our week. It would be great to know who to tip and how much? Because when you are on a holiday you want to relax and not constantly be concerned with such things. The poor gardener who was yelled at like crazy by his boss in front of us all at the Alondra grand pool should get a lesson in how to behave. So rude and out of line. Our all in all experience was that the people of Lanzarote were in a bad mood. Alondra was a good break from all the negativity we would feel outside of the premises but some of the staff, especially the cleaning ladies should learn that being friendly the whole time and not only when they got the tip of the week could pay off more:)

Ola ! Amazing property, really large, could easily sleep 6 adults. A lovely villa with a ranch type feeling. Very peaceful and quite (if this is what you like). Only a couple of mins away from the town/marina. A heated pool with coconut trees, a lovely garden etc. just like the pictures on the internet. A lovely welcome hamper/basket when we arrived and we also got one when we left ! And the staff were all so warm, friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this villa to anybody, family or singles. A very special thank you to Nora (at the front office desk). Very impressed overall - many thanks !!! ps: Visit the delicious El Toro Restaurant for meals (which is fairly close by at the next round/about).

The front access gate which leads directly onto the main road is a bit dangerous, especially when driving the car out (during the daytime)... This could be improved.

The villa layout was amazing. The staff were so helpful, especially for the needs of two young babies.

I was absolutely delighted with the Alondra Villas y Suites. We stayed in a 3 bedroom bungalow, number 1, and could not have been happier with the space, quality and cleanliness. Outside there was a large table enough to seat at least 8 people, and a spacious garden with sunbeds and a patio area. Inside the furnishings were luxurious, the fittings modern and everything spotlessly clean. The kitchen and utility room were very well equipped and we were provided with a lovely welcome bottle of wine, and had some water and soft drinks waiting for us in the fridge. The communal swimming pool was a 2 minute walk, and also spotlessly clean with comfortable sunbeds and a lovely garden. The main town of Puerto del Carmen was a short taxi ride, which only cost a few euros, but there are restaurants and supermarkets within a 5-10 minute walk of the villas. The beach at the Old Town is about a 20 minute walk. I would definately stay in the Alondra Villas y Suites again, the are close enough to the hustle and bustle to be part of it all, but far enough away that it is quiet and tranquil.

Great value for money, well-kept, clean apartments with plenty of room and good facilities.

No restauarnt open in the winter, so no interaction with others staying on site. Not always a bad thing though!

The Villa (Villa Lily) was quite spacious, well for 2 people anyway. It was nice if you like rustic. We're ok with rustic. The inside was clean and loads of wardrobe space. Comfy beds. People had left lots of English novels there. A total chillout if you want to be secluded.

The location was about 100 yards from the main road and the window shutters wouldn't all lock and there was no telephone so we felt a bit worried about what to do if an intruder came in. The pool heating which cost an additional 140 euros for 10 days didn't heat the pool very much. Only 3 English speaking channels on TV. Sky News, BBC world news and Al-Jazeera. (No sky sports) No Ice bucket. No ice cube tray thing in the freezer. The big wooden door between the pool area and the garden was just hanging by one nail at the top. This will very soon part and a lump of wood weighing about 4 KG will fall onto the ground - or you if your standing next to it. So the door doesn't close properly. Some of the pool decking is loose. The lampshades are all loose and wobbly.

We liked the details of the suite very much, it was elegant and unique also modern and very clean. We originally booked a three bedroom cottage with private pool (which is located outside the complex), but upon check in our cottage was not ready till 4 pm and we were on our honeymoon, so the manager upgraded our reservation to a three bedroom suite with a private pool inside the complex for the same price!!! The complex is nicely located near a bus stop, supermarkets, restaurants etc.. just 5 mins walk and you're there, you'll need about a 15 mins walk to reach the beach though..

There was some minor problem with shower drainage, but it didn't bother us this much, also the main door's latch was not working, so we had to use the key every time to lock it, however it didn't keep the door entirely stable, so whenever wind is blowing (which is always the case in Lanzarote) the door knocker kept banging against the door which was very noisy.

Luxurious and relaxing. Beautiful villa and pool. Quiet location. Helpful and friendly staff.

Wi-fi not very reliable

Very nice villa, spacious and tidy with good facilities (coffee maker/plates/cutlery/hob/microwave/wash machine/heater etc) two bathrooms, nice quiet area with private garden/terrace. Short walk to pool (bit cool) and small kids play area. Private parking in front of villa. Feels secure, our villa backed onto other villas back walls with only one window/door onto front roadway. Garden was big enough for kids to run around and to enjoy an al fresco breakfast/lunch.

With a car its a great location, just a minute from main highway to Yaiza or Arrecife, and a couple of minutes down to Puerto del Carmen itself. Unfortunately due to one way system it can be a bit of a loop back from PdC to get home. Walking down town is easy too but a bit of a hike back up hill. Pool are is nice but pool a little cool (was October dont know if its heated later in the winter).

It was in a fantastic location but also lovely and quiet.
