Lovely hotel. Good location. Nice and quiet with local bars and cafe's nearby, but also close to the busy parts. Staff were fantastic. Really friendly and helpful. Room was great. I would have liked a spare pillow, as I use 2 normally. |

The Hotel Altair in Santiago de Compostela is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Understated, elegant, unfussy, very polite and ethusiastic staff, great breakfast, very quiet, comfortable and perfectly situated near the centre of the old town. Maybe 100 metres from the Cathedral. They avoid all the standard hotel cliches and have managed to create the perfect small city-central hotel. |

The location, friendliness and personal service at this gem of a hotel at Santiago de Compostela places it top of my "small and individual" category of hotels in Europe visited during the past five years. The unique style of the hotel rooms, good breakfasts and the fact that I was presented with a map of the city and advice where to visit and eat by receptionists who were able to understand and speak English added to the welcome at this hotel which many others have appreciated in the city of Santiago. In fact I returned to stay at the hotel before my departure from Spain to England and my wife and I were unexpectedly waved goodbye by a member of staff whom we had not met earlier in our stay. An excellent choice. |

very friendly and helpful staff, brilliant location - a real gem of a hotel, we would recommend it to anyone. During our stay there was a temporary problem with the hot water (2 hours max) and we received a sorry note and chocolates our room was on the small side |

La ubicación es óptima, está al lado del centro pero en una zona muy tranquila. Para dormir, quietud absoluta. La cama de matrimonio es algo estrecha y el agua de la ducha no sale suficientemente caliente. |
