The staff are just awesome. Better than excellent throughout our two nights there. On our departure day, we liked the rose petal jam so much that we asked them where we could buy it from. Without hesitation, they offered to give us 3 bottles of jam from their own kitchen at the original cost price. Furthermore, we ate breakfast twice and on our departure day, they waived the breakfast cost. I can't forget Santiago de Compostela for two good reasons, The Church and the staff at Hotel Altair.

We were staying in Santiago for 3 nights and had one night without accommodation so chose Altair. While the other accommodation was great (the Parador - magnificent based on the building) Altair was a lovely boutique hotel with great staff and a delicious breakfast. We were disappointed that we had to move on and would very gladly have stayed longer. We loved it.

Excellent location for touring Santiago, although not easy to get to by car. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of their information on certain restaurants and walking tours was not current, which resulted in wasted time. But, on the whole, we were quite pleased with our stay.

Small, cozy and very comfortable hotel, literally 2 mins off touristy walking paths, good enough to stay quiet in and steps away from all historical things of Santiago. Great experience. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff.Big up, highly recommend and coming back surely.

This could be described as a boutique hotel. Very nicely decorated. The breakfast was extra but it was well worth it. The freshness and quality of the ingredients was obvious. What really makes this hotel special is the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful. By far, some of the nicest staff I have ever come across. I would recommend this hotel.

The best part of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast each morning. We were greeted by the lovely staff and offered a selection of Galician speciality foods including Quince, Galician cheese, Violet Flower jam etc along with freshly squeezed orange juice and teas and coffees. This was offered between 8 - 11am each day which gave a level of flexibility which isn't always available at other hotels. Throughout our stay the staff took every opportunity to offer help / assistance / advice on what to do, where to eat etc which was really helpful. Nothing that we didn't like a such. It would have been a nice addition if the hotel had a garden to relax in or enjoy a drink at the end of the day.

This is a nice hotel with lovely staff however it was by far the most expensive hotel on our trip to northern Spain and I think better value for money could possibly be found elsewhere.
