Location was great--easy parking. Helpful with suggestions for lunch and dinner. My room was the small single and it was small!

The staff mostly spoke English and were very cheerful and helpful. This is a charming hotel. I had just finished walking the Camino de Santiago and wanted a quiet location near the Cathedral but away from the frenzy of the Camino. Hotel Altair fit the bill perfectly.

Quiet well equipped room. Shuttered windows provided a cozy room. Staff was very helpful. Parking was a block away as advertised. Breakfast was lite, but very good.

Staff was outstanding. Helpful and friendly and dying to "show you our city." Quick to provide us a walking map and customized recommendations for restaurants and shops. The breakfast for only 8€ is amazing! Iberian ham, local cheese, fresh orange juice, best cup of coffee I've had in awhile, and don't forget to try to Santiago cake (made with almonds). The toast is also really good and they have different homemade jams each day. The WiFi is consistent throughout and speed is great. The windows shut completely to keep out light or open fully to let in fresh air. The stone walls lend themselves to an atmosphere of times past. Shower has good water pressure and toiletries are Yves Rocher. Spacious closet with wooden hangers.
Glass curtain only in shower.
Everything, including a wonderful staff !!!
That we didn't stay longer :( Next time we will stay longer !!!
Very close to centre but tucked off a couple streets where it was a bit quieter. Not noisey. Breakfast was very good. Room clean & quaint - large windows that opened to fresh air.
I cannot fault this hotel. It is very comfortable, well appointed, the breaKfast is delicious. But it is the staff who make staying here such an enjoyable experience. The days we stayed were extremely wet, the staff ensured our waterproofs and footwear were dried when we returns. A top class experience.
Nothing
Full marks for comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and breakfast. Well-located being about 5mts to the cathedral in the centre of town. Good restaurants nearby.
Nothing to dislike..!
Location was great--easy parking. Helpful with suggestions for lunch and dinner. My room was the small single and it was small!
It was pretty good. Can't think of a negative. Oh yes-- No space for toiletries. You need a shelf mounted above the bidet.
location, staff were great breakfast- great
noisy neighbours
Lovely modern room, excellent location for restaurants, Cathedral, old city
Some sort of party place nearby - noise until the wee hours.
The staff were superb and helpful The breakfasts were great The room was delightful Overall style very chic but welcoming The location could not have been better
NOTHING except we had to leave, but we'lol be back
Lovely staff especially Theresa. Cute little hotel.
Nothing
- nice, clean boutique hotel
- exit light at doorway prevented room fom being totally dark which affected quality of sleep.
We arrived quite early but this was no problem to the extremely friendly and efficient young lady on reception. Our room was not ready but we dropped our bags there and went to park our car. This is a municipal car park (spacious and easy to park ) a 5 minute walk away. By the time we got back our room was ready and the young lady had already delivered our bags to our room. The room was a good sized, comfortable room with all amenities. WIFI was fast. The bathroom was bright and had all mod. cons.. The bonus for us was that our room was no.101. This is on the ground floor and has french doors leading to a delightful, small courtyard with a table and two chairs. It was so nice to sit out there and have a bottle of wine in the evening. We booked three nights, stayed an extra night and would have stayed more but they were booked out. The hotel is very conveniently located for the old town. We did not eat there so cannot comment. At all stages of our stay all of the staff we encountered were so friendly and so efficient.
Absolutely nothing
Reception staff made our holiday by their kindness and consideration...nothing was ever too much trouble. The accommodation was stylish yet still so comfortable. And the breakfast was a great starter for the day.
The fact that we had to leave!!
Only a short walk into Santiago centre with good restaurants along the way. Reception staff were really excellent and were very proficient in English language.
Continental breakfast served at the table. We would have preferred the more usual self-service method. No dressing mirror in the room, and little space around the bathroom sink. Shutters had to be closed to cut-out street noise, so the room had no light, right through to morning. Overall - nice little hotel but trying too hard to be 'boutique' and different.
Good proximity to old city and cathedral but in a pleasant quiet street.
Disappointed with breakfast. We would have preferred the usual buffet that most hotels offer. Choice was pretty limited.
Faultless in every way, so glad we booked this hotel which was run by lovely people who couldn't do enough to help. Will definitely recommend to family and friends!
Teresa teaching me spanish
can be noisy from the road below and the bar round the corner.
A terrific location, close to everything but not in an area overrun with tourists. The staff was also extremely helpful, and knowledgable. Reception even offered to feed the meter for us so that we could get very cheap parking. Their restaurant suggestions were also spot on. We had one of our most memorable meals in Spain based on reception's recommendations.
Lovely welcoming staff especially Deanne, loved the breakfast and just the general ambience of the Hotel. Friendliest and most relaxing hotel we stayed in and we stayed in a few(inc. Paradores!).Will definitely go back.
