The staff were very accommodating, we were early to check in and they allowed us into the room, on departure our flight was at night and we had full use of their facilities until then. The rooftop pool is a lovely setting and we made good use of it. I would absolutely recommend staying here whether with friends or as a romantic city break. I look forward to going back.

The hotel bar is quite pricey and we would have spent more if it wasn't so expensive. The construction out the front of the hotel is noisy during the week as it starts from around 8.30am so earplugs recommended. Saturdays and Sundays it isn't a problem.

Breakfast was good. The bed was really confortable and big, even though we booked for a double room and instead there were two beds put togethe - that was supposed to be a twin room. It was really clean. It was close to Rambla de Catalunya, which has a lot of restaurants.

It was about 15min from Placa Catalunya, a little bit far, but it was really close to La Pedrera. The pool is really really small. The terrace is very expensive. The staff was not very polite, but they weren't rude either. The bad thing was that there are some diggings happening right in front of the hotel. It was bad that they didn't have a restaurant at the hotel or nearby. You have to go on Rambla de Catalunya to find a place to eat.

the staff were very helpful and accomodating as we had to move room because of construction work outside the hotel. The location was central and lots of lovely restaurants and bars locally.

No tea/coffee in the room. Bar prices expensive too.

Guys you have to learn to hjelp your client :(:(:( Dårlig service , dårlig personale, Trengte hjelp da jeg kom med 2 koforter , mens resepsjonist så bare på og ikke orket å hjeple ved å åpne døret:(....

The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was nice.

The whirlpool on the rooftop was out of order. The opening hours of the pool were too short. 8PM is not a good time to close the pool. You were also not allowed to take your own drinks to the pool. You had to order them at the bar and they were expensive.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. The location is ok, but not in the city center. Metro station is close. Nice roof terrace.

There is a construction going on in front of the hotel, might be disturbing for some people, but it was not too noisy.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The desk Manager spoke excellent English and accomodated our 19 year old son in an alternative room with an outside window. As a family wew enjoyed spending time on the roof terrace both during the day and evening. We would recommend the hotel to our family and friends intending to visit Barcelona.

We didn't like the building work that was going on right outside the Hotel. It could be noisy at night and early morning with people out drinking etc and fooling about in the street below our room! We did not like the single internal rooms that had no exterior windows and feel this could perhaps be made clear when booking any single room?

Nice personnel, clean, room was spacious with a street view. Asked for a room at a lower floor and they arranged it. This has not been the case in other hotels we have stayed at. They even arranged a meal for us that was not in the room service menu w/ reasonable price.

Ideal location for seeing the sights that Barcelona has to offer. Excellent access to Metro and buses. Good restaurants and shopping close by, especially the Taverna Mediterranean next to the hotel.

Unfortunately there were major construction works directly outside the hotel entrance so be prepared for early morning wake up calls!! The hotel bar prices were expensive as was breakfast.

Great price in a great location

Some staff were extremely helpful and nice, while others were rude and arrogant. Also, compared to other 4 star hotels that were seen in the city, it appeared that America Barcelona seemed more like a 3 star property.

The staff were so amazingly friendly and they went out of their way to make our holiday special.

Great staff, fantastic roof terrace with lemon trees and view of sagrada familia down the way.

Roof top bar and pool. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Although there is a laundry service, the lack of an available iron was an inconvenience.
