Score from 2464 reviews Good
Great position for visiting both the Alhambra, which is amazing, and the city, with a short trip on the #3 bus. Beautiful old building with old world charm.
WIFI not so good in the room and maybe a little bit expensive comparatively.
Parking and additional cost for parking
The location is outstanding. The place is fantastic. Not sophisticated, but a real experience. I will return for sure. Big experience for a small price.
Nothing worth quoting.
Everything except the newly hosed and wet floor at breakfast but they also had to keep those wonderful vines alive!
Charming place in a perfect location at Alhambra. Helpful and nice staff.
Noisy aircondition. Access by car a bit unclear with parking 10 min away.
FABULOUS location in the Alhambra - good value. friendly staff. clean rooms - meant our visit to Alhambra was hassle-free.
It is wonderful to stay inside the walls of such a fascinating place as the Alhambra.
The breakfast was very ordinary, instant coffee and stale rolls
Location was excellent for both Alhambra and town. Very charming ambiance.
Food was over priced.
the charm. the coffee. The friendly staff. The location. The history of the hotel.
the cramped quarters, the noise in the dining area late into the night. lack of a british or american breakfast option. and the difficulty getting a car to and from (but that must be to expected).
Absolutely wonderful hotel, very quirky and right in the centre of the Alhambra an excellent position. Staff fantastic, friendly and welcoming and very helpful.
This hotel is inside the grounds of the Alhambra, you can't beat that for convenience! It is a little hard to find, you need to park up by the ticket office, then walk about 700 meters down to where the palaces are and the hotel is tucked into the grounds. The room was small, frugal but very clean. I was right above the entry, so it was a little noisier than I would have liked. The desk person was very helpful, and there is a shuttle to downtown right outside the hotel, taking you to the cathedral in about 10 minutes
The hotel does not serve dinner--but, they were nice enough to get me a glass of wine and plate of ham and cheese for a light supper...
Charming hotel in the most amazing location. Up grade to 2nd floor with beautiful rooms if you are there for three days or more so beautiful.
the situation - amazing, so close to the Alhambra charming and full of character especially the courtyard and our room - access by spiral stair from courtyard friendly staff happy to go on line to check bus times provision for leaving luggage after checking out
breakfast choices could have been clearer
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Fantastic peaceful, green and quiet (well, in the evening) location.
Would be great if hot food was available in the evening but that was not much of a problem.
Excelent location in the grounds of the alhambra palace.
No vehicle access, until local security staff pressed. (not the hotels fault)
Friendly reception well located for Alhambra old world charm and character
No air conditioning may be disturbed by diners just below your window getting a bit tatty Quite pricey
The location as it is situated in Alhambra
There was no hot water and we could not take a shower. It was a shame as we had a guest from overseas and it gave a very bad impression of the hotel.
Perfect location and helpful staff.
The weather was great. The location was convenient only to the Alhambra touristic site. It was remote as it was far away from restaurants, shops or transportation. The street was deserted after 6 pm. Not much to like about this hotel.
The first night room was a disaster. It did not even have a small refrigerator, a radio or a TV set. The toilet did not have a vent and the smell was unbearable and horrible. The beds were small and uncomfortable. The bed sheets and furniture were old. The noise was continuous as you could hear people from the next room snoring, walking or anything they were doing. The second night we changed room hoping it would be better but it was the same. In addition, in this room the shower handle did not hold on the hook and you had to hold it up with one hand while washing yourself with the other. The water was not hot. The lounge that served as a breakfast room was so small and they filled it with too many tables (5) and chairs. No one could walk through without squeezing the persons sitting. A total disaster and a nightmare that i don't wish to anyone. To add insult to injury, the rate was that of a 4 stars hotel room. Shame on whomever allowed this hotel to be listed on this site.
Amazing location. Helpful and friendly front desk person.
Location location location.
Short handed staffing although their attitude was very good. All of them were multitasking. Everybody waits tables; reception, office, porter, cook, chambermaid. We had to leave the heavy room key at the front every time we get out of the hotel and ask for the key when we get back. With so much multitasking going on, the staff readily hand over the room key without any authentication process. I felt uneasy over this as anybody could simply walk in and get access to a room. I think the hotel should seriously reconsider their security arrangements wrt the room key access. For modern hotels with card key access, the problem does not exist because the guest simply holds on to the card key all the time.
The location is excellent - right within the Alhambra. To get to town you have to walk 15 to 20 minutes.
The room was cute but tiny.
location inside the Alhambra complex, the hotel was a building with lots of character.
No evening meal facilities,or in the neighbourhood. Not much choice at breakfast,in fact exactly the same every day.
That it was in the grounds of the Alhambra. It had a great courtyard covered in greenery with a café area excellent arrangement. Old Spanish feel to the hotel. Great spot for the hotel away from the bustle of the main town area but within walking / bus distance
café area closed at 1600 hours. No evening bar available, but restaurants nearby
