We paid a bit more for a Suite (Best Extra we have ever had!) so we were very spoilt by the big extra room. We had friends living in Madrid so it was lovely to have your own spacious lounge to entertain in.. The restaurant on the terrace was a wonderful experience. Rooftop bar is exceptional and luxurious but needless to say, very expensive. If the prices were lower it would be packed and would lose it's feel of luxury, so I'd say go for it and just imagine you have paid a fee for one of the most super views and surroundings. The entrance is small and by no means grand, but the staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially Christina! Thanks Ada Palace, we will be back So convenient for Prada and many others, Retiro Park is 15 minutes walk and like another world from the hustle and bustle of Madrid City life..

Location. Very close to the excellent Airport Express and sightseeing bus stops. Easy walking distance to the main attractions, shopping and eating places. Very comfortable and clean room. Comprehensive buffet breakfast. Don't let the limited public spaces and services put you off. In particular the reception gives such a bad impression on arrival and more than half dozen people create a traffic jam. Lifts are tiny. Staff (specially in the catering area) are generally efficient and accommodating but not very forthcoming (lack of confidence with language?). Only minor negative points if you are using the hotel only to sleep.

Most convenient location close to the museums I.E. Prado, Thyssen and at the City Tour Bus Line. Lovely terrrace with gorgeous vie over the city roofs - particularly at night! Serving staff at time very unfriendly!

Price & location Some of the hotel reception staff had an attitude of speaking in a demeaning way when asked for help. Often they seemed short staffed with problems not being able to be attended to for hours since there was only one person for afternoons and evenings at the front desk

Its location and friendly reception staff. Could do with more staff at breakfast time. Continually running out of various breakfast items. Had to clear a table ourselves to sit at.

Having read all the reviews of this hotel prior to booking, so I was aware of the pro's and con's. Some reviewers said that the reception staff were unhelpful, to me, the staff were friendly and helpful at all times during our 5 day stay. The room was very nice, two big beds, a sofa & chair, mini bar very comfortable. The cleanliness was superb, all toiletries replaced every day, even the handy sewing kit! Safe in the room and no additional charge for this. The breakfast is worth having, a hot and cold buffet catering for every taste, with fresh fruits, yoghurt and superb coffee, would highly recommend it. Bar area and terrace with lovely views over Gran Via also for smokers a covered area with heaters! Very convenient for all the sights which are within walking distance, however for more mature people who may have difficulty walking, taxies were plentiful and quite cheap too. A busy road to cross so must use the zebra crossing and you need to know which direction you are going, if taking a taxi. The "hop-on-hop-off City Tour bus", stops very close to the hotel and this is a great way to get around the city. I would stay in this hotel again, had no complaints whatsoever. Reception area is very small and the lifts only take two people, it was quiet during our visit but would imagine it could be a bit chaotic during high season.

The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Madrid, 5 minutes walk from the aiport bus stop and the Metro, close to the museums and shopping. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Our room overlooked the Gran Via and was smart and comfortable as was the hotel's bar, lounge and restaurant. The breakfast selection was excellent with a wide choice. Unfortunately poor weather prohibited use of the roof terrace which would have been great in the sun. Would be happy to stay at the Ada Palace again on a return trip. Leaking shower seal.

It was so nice hotel. The crews were kind enough and the facility was cosy and clean. The most valuable thing of this hotel is the location. It is located in the middle of the city so it is easy to go to inside the city everywhere. Subscription-based Internet service

We asked to change rooms as the first one was very sparse and gloomy. Alternative was a great improvement with a lovely view of the main street. The breakfasts were brilliant, though a larger room would make it easier to serve yourself. Very good location for everything, galleries, shopping, gardens, metro. Tiny reception area. Mini bar never refilled despite a couple of requests. Extra pillows delivered to wrong room. Our friends room had a permanent smell, which they think was the drains.

It was pleasant to find double products in the bathroom. The room is roomy attractively furnished and comfortable. The staff were most friendly and eager to assist. The dining area too is inviting so is the lounge and rooftop patio. Breakfast delightful with much variety even for a pescatarian such as myself. All in all a wonderful stay at a great hotel perfectly located to all entertainment sights and shopping. A great stay at a great hotel and even greater price. I highly recommend it. The reception is small and needs to be stepped up and no porter service However the location and service more than makes up for it.

Location- close to all major sights such as prado and reina sofia , airport bus drop-off, city tour bus stop and also walking distance to sol and plaza mayor. rooftop terrace bar a bonus and nice way to start or finish an evening. lack of an onstreet bar/restaurant or sit down reception area to entice traffic in off the street.this would add greatly to developing a hotel atmosphere to befit the location..

The room was quite large for a European hotel. We got a free upgrade when we checked in. The room was clean, bathroom nice and big, great shower, good pillows. Breakfast was delicious and the view from the breakfast room/bar/restaurant was beautiful. Very nice place. Hotel is a little hard to find and the front lobby is almost non- existant. Madrid is loud so even on the 4th floor we heard street noise all night.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite a power failure on our first day, they rose to the occasion and we were taken to another hotel in the same chain and treated very well. Other than that we had no problems and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room which was a junior suite was beautiful with an excellent view. Lots of choice for breakfast and as the weather was gorgeous we ate on the 6th floor terrace, definitely a treat in March! The location was excellent for shopping and for sight-seeing.

When we arrived, our room was unavailable due to some mistake but we're porposed the equivalent room that was good. When we changed it next day, the chosen room appeared to be smaller than a previous one. So there were clashes in our understanding why smaller room costs more and considered better. We arrived at midnight and were tired, so we got up to "romantic terrace" pf the hotel which is positioned like that to have some food. Kitchen was closed and only snack were available. We drank 4 glasses of ordinary wine and have a small plate of cheese and jamon and a bit of chips. All of this costes 50 euro what shocked us a bit. Also the terrace was full of Russian football fans who were quite drunk due to loss of the Russian team to Real, Madrid that day. Summing, the start of vacation was a little smashed. But in general all was fine. Location is really excellent - a few steps to all main attractions. And Madrid is so lovely city! You got it even staying there a few days:) We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary but the athmosphere there isn't romantic at all - nothing really romantic and no extra stuff as spa etc. The hotel is worth for biz trips and city tours. Probably, that was our mistake that we didn't get it from reviews and the hotel description.
