salobrena should be kept a seceret to prevent large crowds visiting, purely for selfish reasons!!! the area was as expected, unspoilt. the area around the beach wasnt croweded with large blocks of appartments and hotels

Salobreña looks interesting from a-far because it is on a cliff and it has castle. But in reality it is not an interesting town. The castle is just simple old walls, nothing to see. The town's church is rather dull. The streets don't have flowers. No cobblestone streets. the houses are just a mess, nothing with interesting facades or fronts.
The only good thing is that 1 km away is the beach, which is nice but lacked enough trees to provide necessary shade.

We visited Salobreña as the first half of a two-part stay in the region, with the second being in Granada. While we were waiting for the bus to Granada I saw people arriving in Salobreña for the first time and I was quite envious.

loved the area and there were great water sports near by at marina del Este. Great local restraints and within easy reach of the various attractions of Andalucia such as Granada, Ronda, Nerja and Frigiliana Etc.
110% happy with Jorge's apartment! The apartment is spacious and very nicely decorated. It has a lovely secluded terrace with nice views and is conveniently located at one end of the old town, halfway up the hill, within walking distance of the beach. Taxis can take you to the front door (that's a plus, knowing the maze-like nature of Salobreña's old town :-). We felt at home and would have loved to stay longer! The lady who gave us the keys was very helpful. Communication with the owner was perfect. What else?!? :-)
Our room was upgraded, and we had a room with a balcony and a nice view of the mountains, though initially, we booked the simplest room without any view or balcony. The room and bathroom are both clean. There is a fridge in the room. The pool was large and clean, and the view from the shared terrace was amazing. The hotel has nice cafes and restaurants at normal prices. Beautiful garden. The staff is polite and helpful. Free parking only for this hotel with plenty of parking lots.
A perfect location in Salobrena, close enough to the centre for all the shops and bars but far enough away (10 minutes stroll) for a quiet nights sleep. Great outdoor space to enjoy the amazing weather and perfect inside space for 2 couples to share easily. The 2 bathrooms were well equipped, a shower in one and bath and shower in the other and both beds were extremely comfortable. Good facilities in the complex and the host was great.
Exceptional location and a great double room with a kitchenette.
*Certainly follow the instructions from the hotel since driving up to the hotel can be tricky if you don't have the correct instructions since it's up into an old part of town.* Free parking for compact cars is available, but limited.
The room was very big and so was the bathroom. The bed was a very comfortable super king size. The hotel has really made an effort to make everything comfortable and functional. The pool was lovely and so was the bar and restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Restored with passion for detail to Andalusian splendor, Hostal San Juan is a soulful, peaceful haven in the centre of Salobrena. Run by the kindest people, who are relaxed yet attentive hosts. Thank you Johanna and Sebastian for this inspiring stay, see you again next month.
The 1st room I received when I arrived was not up to my expectations so I went to the front desk and the staff accommodated me with room#35 which I believe is the best in the hotel. I will ask and book this room when I go there every time. Wonderful room, exceptional views.
Domenika & Jose are wonderful hosts. They are so kind and welcoming. They go out of their way to help with anything you need and they take the time to engage with their guests. I highly recommend staying with them while in Salobrena, it was a pleasant surprise for me.
This hotel was fantastic. The owner has remodeled an old home into a lovely, lovely hotel. Every detail is perfect. It is an excellent location in the center of the village with access to several wonderful restaurants. I highly highly recommend this hotel.
The owners were very pleasant and helpful - their young daughter's translation skills were great.
The apartment was spacious and well equipped and had a balcony.
It was close to Salobrena old town and to the beach as well as several very nice restaurants.
Amazing view and stylish apartment in a key location right in the heart of Salobrena. The owner was friendly and helpful. The blackout blinds were brilliant as I am very light sensitive.
