Apartment was in the old town and very near some great places to eat (the tapas right across the road are amazing!) Place was light and airy and just big enough for family of 5. Parking underneath the building was handy but a bit expensive and required some pretty good driving skills to get to!
Great service, very helpful, friendly. Despite a our mistake very warmly welcomed, we got on arrival all the necessary information. The garage in the building spacious and comfortable ( entry and exit requires a little skill and a peace of mind). An apartment is equipped with all possible accessories needed even for a longer stay. Location was great for trips to the city. Atmosphere ideal to rest.
1. Javier, the manager, was always available by phone and extremely helpful and friendly. 2. Excellent location within Albaicín neighborhood. 3. Ample, attractive, well kept apartment. 4. Reasonable price.
1. Very weak wifi signal. Nonexistent within flat; had to go down to lobby / central patio in order to be able to log on. 2. Our flat had no private terrace. From the Booking page, we understood the flat included a private patio with views. 3. Albaicín is a charming, picturesque neighborhood. Yet it is half an hour's walk or bus ride to and from Alhambra. This comes at the expense of time and energy available for visiting Alhambra, the main reason of our visit to Granada. 4. Fridge too small, couch not comfortable.
I traveled with family of 4 and booked this apartment as they were very near to Granada Masjid and halal restaurants. It's top location and easy access to everywhere plus underground parking.
If you want the Albaicin experience, it doesn't get any closer than this. Situated almost at the very top of the Albaicin, Abulaci is situated in a very narrow one way street that my Nokia GPS had trouble routing to. Fortunately, Javier, was waiting for us at the apartment and very clearly showed us the route. He guided us into a narrow, cramped basement car park and I was happy not to have to use my car for the rest of the stay in Granada. The apartment was in the style of Moorish houses, so a central atrium with apartments and stairs at the edges. Kitchen utensils were fully equipped but could have done with more pots/pans or a kettle. We didn't press the issue as they were enough for our needs, but I am sure if you asked Javier the manager, he would have accommodated. I can't stress the excellent location of the apartment. There are so many tapas bars and eateries around. The mosque is 5 mins walk away with the little square that has magnificent views of the Alhambra. There are a row of small grocery stores and other shops on the same street. Finally Javier the manager was most helpful. Pointing out good eateries, where to get the bus to town and the Alhambra, and even getting us discounted flamenco tickets.
Although clean and well maintained, I think a bit of paint here and there would have brightened up the place. Ground floor apartment, which meant no good views of the Alhambra or city. Plus a bit noisy if you're a light sleeper from impromptu flamenco and stuff from the bar opposite the street. Just get some ear plugs, or even better, join them! The albaicin is not a good place to drive if you have an MPV or even a saloon car. You can, but I hope you took the scratch and bump insurance waiver.
Mould on ceiling in kitchen/living room and master bedroom. Also mould was in bathroom with awful smell that we had to all sleep in the second bedroom (only room without mould) with the door closed and the window open to allow fresh air while we were sleeping. Needless to say I didn't sleep all night with the window open.
Location is very good and Javier was always helpful.
Weak wifi; a washing machine would have been a big help.
Albaicín with a view to Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. From one hill to the other. The reception (Javier) was great with recommendations on the bus stops, spots to "tapear", ... Car parking inside the building. Very flexible on letting us keep the car for the afternoon after the check out!
The beds could be better. The cleaning should be improved (the floor was not ready for bare foot). The shower with a very low capacity hot water reservoir, only 4 quick showers (we were 5)!
clean very friendly staff comfortable bed very good location
over priced hot water so limited
It was really clean especially the kitchen. The owner was really nice.
Hot water only runs for a little amount of time. Majority of times it was extremely cold therefore it was really hard. Poor WiFi connection.
clean and recently renovated apartment in the center of Albayzin, very close to Plaza Larga (with fruit and vegetable market every morning) and within few steps to some small bakeries and food shops
no major downsides, it's just a suggestion that kettle in the kitchen and and electric heater in the bathroom to hang wet towels would be a welcome addition to make the stay perfect
Wonderful location, if you're looking for quaint, Albaizin atmosphere. The host was very good. Easy to deal with.
Location & Neighbor hood
No Internet & Disappear of superintendent
beds were comfortable, position is perfect!
bathroom was dirty, the shower was broken.
Good location just a couple of minutes walk from the mirador st Nicolas. Although an uphill walk from the centre of town.
Not able to properly self cater as there was a lack of cooking equipment. Eg. Only one saucepan. Hard to find if coming by car
