Great location right next to metro and sagrada familia. The apartment was clean, spacious and perfect for the weekend stay. Would highly recommend!
1. security was lax. Given keys to 2 doors but only one needed as all other doors leading to the apartment other than the entrance were not locked. Given that it is an unguarded apartment block (as the reception was on the highest floor), any stranger could just walk into the apartment complex. A little uncomfortable for me. 2. Wifi was horrendous! I had to stand next to apartment entrance to get good signal. The signal gets dropped once you are in bedroom or kitchenette. 3. TV programmes were predominantly non English. 4. Staff spoke little English. Wouldnt recommend it for people who dont speak Spanish.
The apartment is very spacious, nicely decorated, quiet and very clean. Location is fantastic, since it's very close to the metro station, Hospital Sant Pau and Sagrada Familia. The area is quiet and on Avinguda Gaudí there are lots of nice bars and restaurants. Staff is very kind and patient. Wifi access and use was problem-free
There is nothing I didn't like about Apartments Atica. We were very pleased with the whole experience of staying there.
Clean and comfortable self catering apartment a little outside the centre but less touristy for that reason. Situated next door to beautiful renovated building of the old hospital of St Pau (now a museum). Supermarket very close if you wanted to cook - fairly well equipped kitchen.
Quite a lot of street noise so didn't sleep that well, perhaps the higher apartments were better - we were on the first floor. The cleaning staff came in once without knocking despite us calling out that they should not. Quality of wi-fi very variable and poor in certain parts of the apartment. Needs to supply instructions on how to use the hob - took us ages to work it out - not at all obvious.
Impressed with the apartment & the fact it was cleaned every day. Fresh towels were supplied daily. Facilities were just what was needed - kitchen had cooking facilities & fridge etc, nice lounge & dining area with TV, the bathroom was sizable with a luxurious shower. The apartment was spacious. Great location, not far from the Sagrada & short walk to the nearest metro. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Staff were friendly. Great value for money and would definitely stay again.
Was really pleased with the apartment but just a couple of things to be aware of :- - From the street, its not obvious that you have arrived at the apartments as the main sign says Everest Hotel. The reception for the apartments is the same as the hotel so go in this door & take the lift to the reception several floors up. - As other reviewers have noted, the sound proofing isn't great but I think this is because it is an older building with high ceilings. You can sometimes hear the conversations of people in the apartment next to you. This is the only downside & have to say it didn't affect the stay i had as this was only noticeable during the day/evening, but something to be aware of.
Big room best for 6 people Location near the Sacrada
No parking avilabile.
Clean Calm wi-fi
The streetscape is lovely looking out in plane trees. Kitchen/dining has just enough room, but the bedroom generous as long as you put luggage in entry alcove. Housekeeping daily.
Lugging cases up first set of stairs to the lift. The door has a trick that is hard to open. All day meter parking is available on the street only if you are lucky.
Location, helpful staff
We stayed 6 nights in a studio aparment in mid-September: - Comfy bed - Safe and cozy neighborhood. Relatively quiet. - 5min walk to metro station, 10 min walk to Sagrada Família. Next to Hospital de Sant Pau. - Fine bakeries and cafes around, if you don't want to prepare your breakfast. - Our apartment was clean when we arrived, and cleaned everyday. - It has all the basic amenities. (Hair dryer, kitchenware, electric kettle etc.) Overall we enjoyed ou stay and had no major problems. I will consider staying there again if I revisit Barcelona. It offers good value for money.
- The wifi signal is was weak in our room, sometimes dropping. You have to be near the entrance door. Not a big deal
Everything went smooth and the apartment was nice and clean.
The pictures we saw before did not give a realistic view of the apartment. We had an apartment for three persons, which meant that I was sleeping next to the door in a hall way, while the other two had beds in the livingroom area. My small room was separtaed from the main area with two doors and it didn't have airconditioning.
Free wifi, clean, well-located apartment in a pleasant neighbourhood. Very reasonably priced and close to several metro lines. The Hospital St Pau (across the road) is a unesco listed building and definitely worth a visit. Good bars and restaurants nearby. 24 hour reception was a big plus as we were arriving after 22.00 on Sat night and leaving at 7.30 on Friday morning.
No complaints at all
Ok booking.com you can book/pay with Amex while in structure you can't pay with it.
Location of the apartment is very good: close to Sagrada but still on a quite street. There are several supermarkets around where you can buy food. Besides, plenty of small restaurants and cafes that are filled mostly with local people. The cheapest and fastest way to come there was by train and then metro. If you come for few days, buy the ticket for 10 trips (costs around 10 eur), this ticket is valid for the trip from/to airport from Sants station and within the city. Apartment has an air conditioning and overall is in a great shape. It looked like was just recently renovated. Small tip for the travelers: if you want to visit Sargada the best way is to buy ticket online, same price but you do not queue at all - there is another entrance behind.
WiFi was a bit slow in the room but worked very well near the entrance. There is a heater for the water (smth like 100l), so if you are travelling together you should carefully take the shower to leave enough hot water for the next person :) otherwise, just wait.
big rooms, good location
staff - 2 older ladies didn't speak english, strange smell in the room
Great appatement, very clean (they clean the room every day) & very comfortable beds, everything was excellent !
1min walk from metro station, 15min to the beach. Lots of cafes and restaurants close to the apartment. The windows are to the side street so it's not noisy. Shades on windows & air-condition are great during the hot summer days. Reception 24/7. Very safe area.
The wifi works OK, but could be faster.
clean and modern
wifi connection did not work
Appartment is great. Perfect.
I had to leave because the I stayed in two rooms and both had be digits. I got badly bitten and needed medical attention. I have pictures of the bites and the bed bugs. I definitely would stay away . The manager did not have the decency to call me . A no no if you want to travel in comfort. Stay away.
Only one station away to Sagrada Familia, and few station away from Catalunya station. Safe and comfortable
The air condition doesn't seem to circulate well to the bedroom, however the weather was quite chill when we stayed there so that was not a big deal. Could be a problem if the weather start to become very hot though. Wifi signal was very poor, staff provided with some other WIfi AP for us to use. so it is quite alright.
very clean. comfy bed. thick doors for soundproofing.
not enough keys for guests.
Walking distance to Sagrada Familia, easy access to the metro transportation, close to shopping area.
A bit of an old feeling type of building. Dark and an old style access with actual keys to open the apartment door.
Great Location, perfect Apartment for a stay with a group of friends; nice bars and cafes araound, walking distance to Sagrada Familia, subway station 2 Minutes walk
street in front of bedroom was a bit loud
Upgrade to larger, 4 bedroom, apartment. Near a metro station. Near St. Pau's museum & 10 min walk to Sagrada Familia. Plenty of restaurants & supermarkets nearby. Well equipped kitchen. Large bathroom.
Poor air conditioning. Windows looked out onto walls & drains of surrounding apartments. Noise from other apartments until early hours. Pilot light for hot water kept going out. The 2 single bedrooms did not have any windows. Fortunately we didn't need those rooms.
Wifi didn't work on weekends
