Tradition Arab courtyard house right in the middle of the old quarter with pleasant common rooms and garden. Decore fits this moorish/hippy vibe of this area dominated by the staff and students of the music and fine arts university. Rooms vary in provisions but we got the value deal on the third floor apartment with the view of the Alhambra called El Mirador.m Truely the best view in Granada central.
Get directionS from the owner! You or GPS won't find this alone. This location not suitable for anyone not fit enough to climb uneven cobbled stairways of the old streets as you need to go up and down to get to restaurants or activities. No taxi/ car access so bags must be carried for 200 metres up stairways. The view apartment up two flights of stairs and shower over bath. Old, old building so things like doors stick.
The apartment was in an older style building that had been restored and so set the atmosphere for our stay in the older part of Granada. It was close to night markets and restaurants as well as modern shops. The views from our window of the old town and the Alahmbra were stunning.
We got the best room as the photo shows. All the difficulty of finding the hotel disappeared as we saw the view from our terrace. A nice big room decorated with vintage and local craft. The kitchen was a nice addition, though we did not use it in our 2 nights of stay. Most of our time was spent exploring Granada.
I highly recommend taking the taxi as suggested by the hotel. As it is difficult to find if one comes by bus. Walking up hill with luggage at 10 in the night looking for the Hotel is not something I will repeat again. Though the bus costs cheaper than the taxi. Two complementary bottle of waters or a small bowl of fruits as a warm note of welcome will be highly appreciated by guests.
Staff kept us waiting to unlock the apartment.
Old and beautiful house with a very nice patio. Perfectly situated in the Albayzin. The kitchen had everything one need. From my room I had a great view of the Albayzin roofs and the Alhambra. I felt geat in there!
The mattress was a little too soft for me.
Large beautiful room, big bathroom, amazing view of the alhambra
Great view of Alhambra; the hotel has lovely public living room and courtyard. Room is big, and has everything u can ask
The staff is just simply not there and hard to reach. The room facing Alhambra is above a major street, so at night might be a lot drunk youth walk by and making irritating noises.
Great historic location in the old town with a lovely courtyard. The room was traditionally with modern self-catering facilities and fantastic view of the Alhambra. Would definitely stay again.
Initial noise from the couple next door on our first night but thankfully it didn't last.
Such a charming delightful place. We stayed in the 2 adult 2 child studio but just as 2adults. The view from the room and balcony was just breathtaking. The room was lovingly decorated with quality furniture and the decor was beautiful. Three double doors opened up to the balcony to let the light stream in and allow us to enjoy the panoramic views from both in and outside the room. Even the shower had the most amazing view. Very large room also allowed us to spread out. Am going to recommend it to all who visit Granada. Perfect location too.
Only slight Niggle was that we weren't told before arriving that we had to pick up keys from the office which is not the same address as the apartment so I had to call to get this and then try to work our how to get to this new address. Turned out to be very close but just would have been nice to know where to go from the start. But the apartment definitely made up for the niggle and the customer service after this was impeccable.
Everything! The rooms were lovely, and the garden was really charming. We even had a view of the Alhumbra from the room! Would definitely stay here again if I had the chance to go back!
We were a group of 9 family members travelling together--grown siblings with spouses and children. Enough space for all. The courtyard was a pleasant place to relax and cool off a bit, and we had some meals in the little garden patio with views of the Alhambra--nice! Elena was a fantastic host!
The street noise coming into the 1st floor bedroom was loud, with people walking by through most of the night, and vehicles driving by. Not a "party" street, but not as quiet as one might have thought.
The apartments had real charm, as did the entire building. The room we had was spacious and clean, and the little kitchen corner was perfect with a fridge and the necessary dishes, had we wanted to make something simple there.
The air conditioning in the room was not very powerful (perhaps broken?), but this was only a problem following a day when the temperatures were very high (around +40C).
We loved this charming historic building. An adventure to find it up the twisting and turning stone steps of the Albaycin area. Our 2 teenagers like this city and hotel this best, Madrid and Seville being the other 2 cities we stayed. Very quiet at night, no AC, but didn't need it in late June. We parked in public parking on Neptune St. and took a cab to the TI, then walked from there.
We were staying at the apartments so that we could attend the Granada Music Festival. The rooms and the public areas are delightful and the apartments are within easy walking distance of the Alhambra - heaven!
The studio apartment was just wonderful, light and airy and a delightful space to be in with fantastic views. I was very sorry to leave and hope to return.
The apt is in the old city. Beautiful atmosphere. The view from the private terrace is awesome and the small kitchen gives you the freedom of preparing meals if needed. Lots of privacy while we were there. It felt like being home.
Please remember to call before arriving as explained by the owner
Beautiful moorish style apartment, spacious and comfortable. We were on the second floor and enjoyed a lovely view of Alhambra on the terrace.
The location is actually good once you find it. But finding it initially was not easy - you have to go to the reception in a different location and I strongly recommend calling the reception before you arrive for directions and to ensure someone will wait at the reception. Our taxi left us at Nueva Plaza below and we had to walk up the cobble stone paths ourselves (I can see why - the narrow owths are not easy for cars to navigate). If you have heavy luggage it can be a bit tough but to us the apartment was well worth the effort.
We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we'd stayed longer. This is an old house with a lovely pátio and courtyard. Our room was beautifullly decorated with old furniture and had a view of the Alhambra. Super comfortable bed. Friendly owner. Highly recommended.
Breakfast served in the courtyard would have been nice, however you do have lots of choices nearby.
This is an old house in the old moorish neighborhood of the Albaicin, which was beautifully restored and converted to marvelous apartments. We had the 'Mirador', the highest room with balcony and view of the Alhambra. The house has an adorable garden and they serve breakfast and limited lunch. Everything was in walking distance from the house, and we left the car on the outskirts of town in a parking garage (taxi $8 one way). The most amazing stay ever!
With heavy suitcases, the stony alleyways can be tricky to navigate, some schlepping is required.
Wonderfully atmospheric property with great views of the Alhambra. Very helpful staff , Helena in particular , she lent me her own i pad charger, and baked fantastic cakes . The room itself oozed history and romance , with a Moorish style bathroom and a draped character bed. Small kitchen useful as no breakfast provided.
Rooms not cleaned on a daily basis, but at the price not a problem for me. Would be difficult to find without taxi.
Location was excellent, right in the heart of the old town, the accommodation was traditional, not the most modern of facilities but a nice change from your usual chain hotel. Had a stunning view of The Alhambra from our room. Owner was very pleasant and helpful.
Check in was a bit disorganised, didn't have clear instructions where to go as check in was at another location, so a lot of waiting around in the hot sun. Would have helped if this was made clear before hand. Worth checking with the owner before arrival if booking the apartments.
The 16th century building & rooms are amazing. We loved the shared garden patio & living room where can have tea & yogurt drinks every afternoon. A very unique place to stay while in Granada. Great location to walk everywhere. Elena & Joaquin are wonderful hosts.
Not all taxis know how to maneuver the narrow streets to drop you off right at the check-in address. So definitely call the taxi service noted in the details for this or you could be walking uphill w/luggage for a bit!
- Very fantastic view of Alhambra from rooms window - Historical building , room and furnitures. - Very kind and helpful staff.
- A little difficult to find and reach to the apartment.(Taxi can not get the place in front of the apartment due to narrow road and space.)
Beautiful, charming apartment in the heart of the Albaycin district. Warm reception by very friendly staff. Sit in the courtyard and enjoy their mint lemonade!
Check in process difficult because nobody was there and response to this was slow.the reception was elsewhere at another hotel. Eventually someone did turn up but if it had been at night time I think we might have gone elsewhere. It marred the beginning of what is a great accommodation in a super area with views of the alhambra. There are also th
