very comfortable bed, in the city centre
small shower, not comfortable sofa
1. Location was perfect! 2. Nice and clean apartment with everything you need 3. Affable staff :)
inside doors between the rooms was impossible to close! O_o Is it hard to fix it?
Almost everything, except...
too much noise from the street and washing machine in the apartment
Loved the location of this apartment, up a quiet side street but really central for bars, restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. Good sized apartment, well equipped with everything you need, lovely quaint balcony just big enough to sit out on
There was no heating control and got a bit hot at times. No bulb in lamp in lounge area
- WiFi (in the fact was working from time to time - you never know when - and it wasn't due to old building as a personel said. Just was switched off and on. Or the router was worng. If you need WiFi to be sure of it isn't the right place. - some other minor things (broken shower handle, quite dark in the rooms)
Close metro station and price
Seedy location. Had trouble with keys but in defence of that...it was very secure. Asked for twin beds and wasn't informed not available. Narrow bed. Nothing on building to.alert you to the name of apartments so hard to find.
- air conditioning - nice and clean - larger than a hotel room - kitchen well equiped - quite good mattress - good communication with the staff - location is quite close to the center (10 mins walking to Puerta del Sol) - Metro stop very close to the flat
- the major issue was the WiFi at the 2nd floor, extremely unreliable during the whole stay (5 days). A problem for my gf who had to work...
There was a cockroach in the room.
Quiet and central
Our apartment was 1B. It was a nightmare. Our apartment was party internal, with a tiny balcony overlooking a cybercafe. The owner stands directly outside the balcony which is very low as it is on the first floor, from 9.30am until he shuts after 12. There was no Privacy and also the shower didn't work properly. We have stayed here many times and had really nice exterior apartments with 2 or 3 balconies. However this experience was awful. Also request an exterior nearest to the plaza as some apartments are internal.
Central and quiet.
Our apartment had a tiny balcony overlooking an internet cafe. People were always directly outside the apartment as it is very low and on the first floor, talkng, looking in. We had a terrible stay. Also half the apartment was interior so claustrophobic. We paíd 70 a night to have people outside our flat 24/7. Beware as some of the apartments are internal and very small. If you stay here make sure you ask for the flats with 2 balconies or more nearest the plaza or you will suffer. I won't be returning.
The location was good: quite close to the very centre but quiet. It was cosy, with air conditioner, everything needed for a comfortable stay
No air conditioner in the other room
Location, location, location! The apartment is close to the city center and to every sights by 5 to 15 minutes walking! We used the metro only the 5th day when we couldnt walk any more :) We stayed there for 6 days, the apartment is fully equipped (refrigerator, microwave, electronic stove, pot, toaster). Great experience, we'll definitely recommend the apartments and come back again.
Poor wifi, we had a lot of problems connecting. Positive points for the apartments staff, we emailed them about the problem and they tried to help as much as they could. Over all the wifi was good only for 1 full day during our 6 days of staying.
Location is great. Very close to shops, walking distance to most major Madrid sights. Local square had some decent restaurant options as well as the nearby side streets. Apartment though quite small was well equipped and had an excellent shower, a decent sized comfy bedroom and a long narrow balcony. Both the apartment and the street / neighbourhood have plenty of character. Excellent value for money, and if in Madrid we would very happily stay again.
Only downside was we needed to wait 30 minutes to be met with the keys which was not ideal when arriving in late evening with a small child! Note: they have very strict conditions about late arrival of guests and therefore need to be on time themselves to avoid hypocracy!!
Good location, close to many attractions, well-equipped kitchen, good wifi.
Uncomfortable bed, noisy at night, rather small, not enough sanitary supplies.
Good reasonably big apartment within walking distance from most "must see" tourist attractions.
A few days before you arrive you get an email asking you to send your arrival time to the apartments administration. The email also tell you that the staff only will wait 45 minutes after your expected arrival time. When we arrived - on time - there was no one from the staff. We waited about 30 minutes on the street before someone showed up. The A/C did not Work properly.
Utensils provided were excellent and the shower is possibly the best shower I have EVER had!
Missing a toaster, perhaps would of been nice with a balcony.
Location was very central, making it very easy to get around to the sites on foot. Plenty of eating/drinking establishments as well as cafes and shopping.
If you're over 6' tall, or of a larger build, the shower is a claustrophobic space. The bed was slightly uncomfortable
Location could not have been better! A quiet street and then again in the middle of it all. Metro station and grocery store within 50 m, and all the things to see within walking distance. Nightlife at Plaza Santa Ana 5-10 min walk. Nice and clean apartment with everything you need in it.
The bed for two is a bit small and i don't see why they didn't fit a bigger one in there. Same goes for the shower which is a bit tight, but all in all, these are minor remarks to a great accommodation.
Great location, modern and comfortable facilities. very clean. We will certainly be back!
Central location, close to restaurants, clean and good facilities
Shower drain was blocked, apartment was quite small
Have stayed at one other of their locations in Madrid and was very impressed, this location was even better!
WiFi was inconsistent and poor strength
perfect ot explore Madrid, nice place, everything you need is there, lot of places around, would definetly go again
Lack of hospitality!
Although the neighborhood is not the best (specially at night), it has an excellent location. 2 min walking from Tirso de Molina metro station, 10 min walking from La Latina and aprox 20 min walking from Gran Via. We were in a second floor, so it was fairly quiet.
No exterior windows, meaning almost no natural light. Small and not very comfortable couch. Extremely small wardrobe. For the price paid we were expecting more.
The location was very good, down cobbled streets off Tirso de Molina, which is one of your more 'shabby chic' squares in Madrid, but very near to Sol/Santa Ana etc. Plenty of room for one person, and would have been fine for a couple. Four windows all with small balconies looking out onto the street. It can be difficult to find if you use googlemap because it sends you down a parallel approach street and the turning has a different name at that point. So find Taverna Tirso de Molina, the art nouveau bar just to the left of the metro exit, and go down that - it's first on the right and immediately on your left (there's a plaque saying no. 1 Juanelo and that's you).
No major complaints. A couple of extra kitchen utensils would have been nice and the hot water doesn't last forever, but otherwise it was a perfect place to stay and I would stay there again.
