The location was good: quite close to the very centre but quiet. It was cosy, with air conditioner, everything needed for a comfortable stay
No air conditioner in the other room
Location, location, location! The apartment is close to the city center and to every sights by 5 to 15 minutes walking! We used the metro only the 5th day when we couldnt walk any more :) We stayed there for 6 days, the apartment is fully equipped (refrigerator, microwave, electronic stove, pot, toaster). Great experience, we'll definitely recommend the apartments and come back again.
Poor wifi, we had a lot of problems connecting. Positive points for the apartments staff, we emailed them about the problem and they tried to help as much as they could. Over all the wifi was good only for 1 full day during our 6 days of staying.
Location is great. Very close to shops, walking distance to most major Madrid sights. Local square had some decent restaurant options as well as the nearby side streets. Apartment though quite small was well equipped and had an excellent shower, a decent sized comfy bedroom and a long narrow balcony. Both the apartment and the street / neighbourhood have plenty of character. Excellent value for money, and if in Madrid we would very happily stay again.
Only downside was we needed to wait 30 minutes to be met with the keys which was not ideal when arriving in late evening with a small child! Note: they have very strict conditions about late arrival of guests and therefore need to be on time themselves to avoid hypocracy!!
Good location, close to many attractions, well-equipped kitchen, good wifi.
Uncomfortable bed, noisy at night, rather small, not enough sanitary supplies.
Good reasonably big apartment within walking distance from most "must see" tourist attractions.
A few days before you arrive you get an email asking you to send your arrival time to the apartments administration. The email also tell you that the staff only will wait 45 minutes after your expected arrival time. When we arrived - on time - there was no one from the staff. We waited about 30 minutes on the street before someone showed up. The A/C did not Work properly.
Utensils provided were excellent and the shower is possibly the best shower I have EVER had!
Missing a toaster, perhaps would of been nice with a balcony.
Location was very central, making it very easy to get around to the sites on foot. Plenty of eating/drinking establishments as well as cafes and shopping.
If you're over 6' tall, or of a larger build, the shower is a claustrophobic space. The bed was slightly uncomfortable
Location could not have been better! A quiet street and then again in the middle of it all. Metro station and grocery store within 50 m, and all the things to see within walking distance. Nightlife at Plaza Santa Ana 5-10 min walk. Nice and clean apartment with everything you need in it.
The bed for two is a bit small and i don't see why they didn't fit a bigger one in there. Same goes for the shower which is a bit tight, but all in all, these are minor remarks to a great accommodation.
Great location, modern and comfortable facilities. very clean. We will certainly be back!
Central location, close to restaurants, clean and good facilities
Shower drain was blocked, apartment was quite small
Have stayed at one other of their locations in Madrid and was very impressed, this location was even better!
WiFi was inconsistent and poor strength
perfect ot explore Madrid, nice place, everything you need is there, lot of places around, would definetly go again
Lack of hospitality!
Although the neighborhood is not the best (specially at night), it has an excellent location. 2 min walking from Tirso de Molina metro station, 10 min walking from La Latina and aprox 20 min walking from Gran Via. We were in a second floor, so it was fairly quiet.
No exterior windows, meaning almost no natural light. Small and not very comfortable couch. Extremely small wardrobe. For the price paid we were expecting more.
The location was very good, down cobbled streets off Tirso de Molina, which is one of your more 'shabby chic' squares in Madrid, but very near to Sol/Santa Ana etc. Plenty of room for one person, and would have been fine for a couple. Four windows all with small balconies looking out onto the street. It can be difficult to find if you use googlemap because it sends you down a parallel approach street and the turning has a different name at that point. So find Taverna Tirso de Molina, the art nouveau bar just to the left of the metro exit, and go down that - it's first on the right and immediately on your left (there's a plaque saying no. 1 Juanelo and that's you).
No major complaints. A couple of extra kitchen utensils would have been nice and the hot water doesn't last forever, but otherwise it was a perfect place to stay and I would stay there again.
Noisy bar visitors passing during the night in the streets (although that cannot be blamed to the apartment as such)
The apartment was impeccable, prettier and more spacious than in the picture. And super-clean. My boyfriend (Spanish) and I (Scots) are experienced travellers, 40, in the arts, nightlife etc. The flat was amazing. Really. We could do our work (fast wi fi), walk everywhere (super-central), sleep and relax (quiet despite central location & very good mattress!). Cute street view of typical Madrid 'calle' (perfect). Safe neighbourhood. Even the entrance to the building is great, with period features but also an elevator. So much better than a hotel room. Felt so good that one night we stayed in to watch films on that super-comfy sofa.
Liked, or rather loved, everything!
- it smells when you enter the building ! - the climatization makes noise !
I chose this apartment as it was round the corner from my daughter's flat whilst she is studying in Madrid, and I didn't worry too much about the apartment, as I didn't expect to spend much time there and it was very cheap rate. Therefore expected things would be a bit tacky and two star, but it was absolutely amazing and represented fantastic value. Everything was all up to date and smartly done and included a fairly amazing power shower cubicle. It was based on one of Madrid's lovely cobbled narrow streets and the room we had was at the back of the building so it had the typical central courtyard view of facing buildings and utilities below, but the advantage was that it was very quiet. Kitchen was well sited, just inside the apartment door and in a narrower section so it was separate from the living room. Kitchen very well equipped with coffee pot etc and a two ring hob and microwave and an attractive living room with sofa and good size dining table and chairs. All quite compact, but very well designed and plenty big enough. We had supper in one night with my daughter and it was a nice atmosphere and all the pots and pans necessary to easily cook. Couldn't fault it.
Couldn't fault it. Had a problem with the shower head popping off on day two as the thread had split but no one could foresee that happening.
good and cozy apartment. Good location. Very clean.
very bad internet. We were in the apartment on the second floor and it takes 10 min to download a webpage. All other thing perfect.
It was an easy, uncomplicated and convenient stay.
Comfortable and spacious. Close to the metro and walking distance to markets, shops etc. Very happy.
Window looks into a dingy courtyard. No signage, so was difficult to find, no reception so had to wait in rain for key to be delivered. Didn't affect our stay, would return.
Well fitted apartment, plenty of lamps, nice white china, super shower, well sound-proofed, room for 4 using sofá bed, Central location 10 mins walk Plaza Mayor, 1 block metro, 15 mins walk to Reina Sofia MOMA, 2 mins walk Sunday Rastro market, Indian restaurants
Staff come round with key when you arrive - 5 mins wait. Ordinary building, no reception, just your own apt.
everything! clean, well equipped, close to the center, you are in the middle of Madrid!
Communication beforehand was very good, both on the phone with Elena (I assume) and Luis, who showed me into the apartment, and who really remembered to tell me everything that I usually forget about temporarily when checking into apartments, like internet passwords, keys, and where to find the next supermarket. Everything you need was there, hairdrier, canopener, tea-towel, coffee-maker, kettle, etc. I was fairly impressed. I also liked the decor very much, and everything was very clean. Value for money was very very good really, and I could not recommend the apartments more. Oh yes, there's an elevator, which is hardly to be found in Madrid hotels of that price range ever.
We had loud rude neighbours, but that was simply bad luck and hardly the staff's fault. They were really helpful. Could have done with a bit more light.
