problems with wifi

Staff are nice,cleaning service is good.It is a mini-kitchen,so cooking for more than 2 person is difficult, but with almost all necessary untensils. Good value for a budget travelling,so can not expect more than these for the price charged. Location is good, close to train station, but it is a bit hard work to go to the beach, since you need to go down the hill and climb up when you back.However, for young people, should not be a problem,can be a good exercise. Free wifi is nice, even it is not always stable and available in all the room, you might need to go to the lobby or change the room if possible.

Sound proof is not good,you can hear any noise from everywhere. Quite noisy to 3 am. Not all staff speak English,not so much information, but they try their best anyway

I liked everything about this hotel. Personal was very friendly and 24/7 there to help us. Apartment was clean and spacious, enough light and in kitchen was everything we needed. It's really close to the city centrum and to the beach about 10 minutes or less walking. Party places are little bit far away, one is about 1 km and other 4 km but you can use bus or taxe to go there.

It has a good location for all the towns facilities,including train & bus.

The location of the Hotel is very good.

The room was not clean, even after the cleaning lady visited. The Soap does not include to rooms. They started to renovate the hotel and left on 2nd floor baby fit holes on floor so that is was really a hole straight to the first floor. Not safe at all for families! Noice from other rooms can be heard clearly even toilet when washed not to talk about the speach. Electricity crashed from the room if both hair dryer and the cooking plate was on at the same time. It rained one week and was very cold but the heating was not on. Only 2 evenings couple of hours. Otherwise the room was freezing and very very moisture. Beds were hard as stone.

Living room furniture was comfortable but very worn so didn't look nice.

The light colours of the furniture, the kitchen and that it was near city. .

The staff were just brilliant and ever so helpful. We had a sea view from our balcony and sat there watching the planes take of from Malaga too. The apartment was spacious and the kitchen totally apt for our needs. The pool was a great place to do a bit of sun bathing and dipping in to cool down. It was all well worth the money we paid for it. Would recommend for people on a budget and not looking for luxury. Then again you won't spend that much time there anyway with the beach only 10min walk away. The hotel is also very close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. On the departure day we were allowed to spend the day at the pool and they also provided a room to keep our luggage in and even towels if we wanted to have a shower. 10/10 from me :)

Friendly and helpfull staff if available. Good value for this money, especially with 3 or 4 guest. The apartment was surplisingly big and from the balcony(7th floor) we could see the sea. Calm.

No poolside bar (only drinks machine) WIFI only worked at pool, gym "flooded", apartments at the back views non existant only overlooking delapidated apartments, beach a fair distance to walk, rooms not cleaned enough

Apartment is near the shops, had a swimming pool, rooms were spotlessly clean on arrival and the staff were really nice and helpful. There is a great supermarket around the corner, really cheap "Supermarcado", not to be missed and before you go down the stairs to the supermarket you have to go into the €2 shop! what a find, great bargains. There is also a really nice pizza restaurant as you leave the complex turn right, cross the road and it is on the corner beside the bins, I cannot remember the name of it but they did great deals on take out's .. 2 large pizzas with one topping and 2 cans of minerals/pop for €10.

The El Velero advertise "free WIFI in the apartments", this is not true, The WIFI did not work in our room 201 or my friends room 202 or my boyfriends room 402. It did however work in the reception area and at the pool. We arrived on a Tuesday at 2pm, the receptionist was really nice and helpful. Our room 201 was overlooking someones yard and some apartments which were rather delapitated (understatement). If you are booking a room here, request a room at the front of the building, definitely not at the back of the building. Our room was clean on our arrival with clean towels on the Tuesday, they were then changed on the Thursday and the Saturday but not on the Monday (probably because we were checking out on the Tuesday. There is no restaurant, snack bar or bar which was greatly missed. There was no baby pool, which was greatly missed as my friend brought her 2 year old daughter with her. They advertise a gym, but apparently the gym is "flooded" and out of action! The beach is a 15 minute walk.

The hotel was just ok and expensive. The hotel looked tired and needs an up grade. No air conditioning which is bad in 40 degs of heat. I would not use this hotel or recommend it.

location was excellent, only 15min walk (with a 5 yr old) to the beach and town centre. Room was comfortable had two bathrooms and a small but adequate kitchen area.

The only fault was no air con, however they provided an additional fan instantly when asked.

The staff was always very compliant; they helped us with directions, called the car rental for us and called us a cab. Most impressive was that when a fan broke, they replaced it with a new one the very same day and also did some cleaning for free. The room had a great view and the standard agreed well with our expectations based on the favourable price (simple and somewhat aged furniture and equipment, but clean and functional). Everything stated in the description of the room was true. Distance to Torremolinos city centre and the beach felt less than what it seemed on the maps. They just recently offered to send a book back to Sweden which we forgot at the hotel after checking out. That is customer mindedness!

Some of the staff knew little English, but we always managed to make ourselves understood though. There was little information about the fitness centre, but on the other hand side we never asked for it. It would have been nice with a bar of some kind instead of just the vending machines, but that was also apparent from the description of the hotel.

Best price ever for the place!! It was very clean and very well located. 2Min by walk from the city centre and 10min from the beach.. Free wifi and clean pool! Last but not least the staff was very friendly and helpful!!

Just 2 things: - The Fitness centre can't really be used.. - The lack of restaurant there, it would be nice to have some food or drink there..

I like everything about El Velero, this was our 4th year stayin here and it only gets better every year. The free wifi throughout the apartments made a huge difference for us this year a we both have iphones..

The only negative thing is that there was only 12 sunbeds at the pool so if you werent there early you lost out.

Convenient to town and train station.

Beds were campbeds,limited tv(English)but weather was great,just would have been nice having news or sports while having breakfast.

Clean, cheap, big apartmentts, good location, friendly stuff. Enviroment is very quite. Supermarket Mercadona just 5 mins away. 10 mins to the beach.

Excellent location,close to airport railway and bus station.Remarkable price for really good room.We had a room on 6th floor ,the view of sea and swimming pool together was lovely,The room was very comfortable and was regularly cleaned by staff.The kitchen had enough utensils and amenities.Even the supermarket was just 5 minutes away and the beach was easy to go to with the lift from centre.Will definitely stay there again if We go to Torremolnos again.My little one played in the pool as well which was nice.

Noisy at times because of other guests in neighborouring rooms.

Kaikki mitä turisti tarvitsee on lähellä. Juna-asema, bussiasema, kaupat, palvelut, Malaga historiallisine ja muine nähtävyyksineen, junalla vain 25min päässä. Ja tietysti ne tapas paikat unohtamatta merenrantaa.
