Suites Ressort Hap-DreamsPortal Nou, 28, 17005 Girona (Show map) Very good, Score from 168 reviewsThese stylish apartments are located in the heart of historic Girona, in a restored town house facing the old city walls. Their modern interiors contrast well with the charming, ancient surroundings. The apartments of the Hap-Dreams have been recently refurbished in a fresh, contemporary style, with trendy lighting, modern art and bare-stone walls. Each one comes with a spacious, open living room with kitchenette, double bedroom and stylish bathroom. Enjoy the sunshine in the 3000 sq² communal garden before exploring the charming medieval city by foot. You can even look out over the ancient city wall from some of the apartments. Hotel Rooms: 11

It was very peaceful (once you get used to the bells) The shower was excellant and the garden lovely, especially having a balcony to sit and look at it I think there was a missing email as I did not have full information to get into the room and had to phone (the number on the wall did not work when I tried - thankfully had printout with another number) this was disconcerting but once resolved we had a great time

Great location, comfortable The check-in timing is haphazard. The booking says 2.15pm, the form in the room on arrival says 3pm or later (depending on cleaning). The rooms were not ready at 2.15pm as we had expected, the cleaning satff had no idea we were expecting the room at 2.15pm, and given we arrived in Girona at 11am didn't welcome the additional wait.

Great location, clean bed linen, comfortable apartment Prior notification of directions and access details via e-mail not received in time for trip, as sent @ 20:10 on 03 Aug for check in date 04 Aug. We would suggest that notification is sent a min 3 days prior to check in date. We also understand from feedback from recommendation websites such as trip advisor that this is a common problem experienced at Hap dreams suites and surely is one that can be easily rectified to increase the stay at your hotel from very good to excellent. Rather than dismiss perceived negative feedback it would benefit the hotel greatly to listen to the power of internet feedback from previous guests. Yes, we would heartily recomend your hotel and thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful city, and return again. Many thanks, Nigel & Hilary Phillpotts.

Bed linens were high quality. Excellent location in the historic part of the city, next to the Roman wall. Beautiful garden in back. Nice bathrooms. Very nice large tv screen (but no directions on how to operate). Excellent value. Rooms need a coffee maker and more kitchen supplies. Need a dish towel. Better quality towels. Need a wash cloth.VERY Difficult to find, to drive down the very narrow street and to find parking. Manager should give directions on how to enter the apartment/hotel well in advance of 4 days prior. Should we not have e-mail access on our trip, we would not have known how to enter the safe box to find our apartment keys. Need directions on how to work the very high-quality TV's that are supplied in the room.

I booked the room there only because I liked its photos on internet, it was a duplex room (2 stores) in the heart of the historical center of the city next to the Wall with a kitchen and all the necessary utencils available, big plazma tv, heating facilities, coffee&cookies...just all you can think of. All the places of interest were just round the corner which I cannot say about the shops, if yo need to buy smth, you have to cross the river which will take you around 15 minutes. In general, the hotel and the room did meet up with my expectancies. It´s perfect for a weekend break and if you want to stay independant (with your own kitchen and stuff) but for the luxury-lovers I´d recommend something posher like Melia o nh. The smell of the hotel hall was just disgusting. When we entered into the hotel, the maids were cleaning the rooms and it was probably where the stink was coming from, but when we returned to our room later at night, it was ok.

Good location. Some have said it is hard to find but it was quite easy to locate. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Apartments were very quiet (few people were there when we were) and the rear grounds were very nice. New large flat screen tv. I would stay there again. Really liked Girona (a classy small city). A city of great restuarants!! The kitchen was very poorly equiped with cooking items and glassware. First place I have ever stayed that didn't have anything to make coffee in.

Very clean and all the things you would expect to be there were in the room. Bedroom pretty and in very quiet location but rifght in the old town and within 2 minutes walk of the cathedral and the other old town attractions. Size of rooms was just fine for a couple and we were very comfortable.

Good location and facilities. Nice garden at the back which was nice to relax in during the hot afternoons - a pool would have been nice though! The apartment was handy to pop back to during the day and then go out again, eg for the evening.Reasonable cost Nothing really

Located right in the ancient part of the city, so you feel part of it all. Arrival was rather confusing, as the pincode we'd received didn't work, but the owner was quick to arrive and solve the problem. The whole experience felt rather like living in a commune - very noisy neighbours on all sides. There were only two shower towels, although there were three of us.The rooms, although decorated quite well to fit in with the rustic feel, were not well finished - lumps of plaster fell off the bannisters, which made them feel unsafe. The shower and bathroom washbasin could have been cleaner. There was no shower gel or shampoo available, although there was a welcome pack of breakfast biscuits and drink sachets in the kitchen.

An excellent location in the heart of old Girona, walking distance to all the sights! Perfect apartment with everything you could need. We were 2 couples and stayed in a loft apartment so 2 slept on the couch downstairs, which worked out well. Don't forget to check out the back garden, it's a little oasis!

The location is fantastic. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and spotless. It was not hard to find, despite the crazy streets in the old part of Girona. I would have liked a reception person to interact with. There is no staff on site, the check-in is self service.

The location right next to the old city wall and close to the old part of the town fantastic... The balcony provided a great place for eating. Very odd but we have not seen any of the personnel, you check in over the phone and get a code to open a safe to get room your key-card and the next day we left, without seeing anyone. On the site it said "No parking available" but there was no indication of the distance from the nearest parking place. This proved to be a good hilly 500 meters and all of the steps in the hotel, 3 times with all of the luggage and 32c, was a bit much.

Great location and excellent value for money. I think, this is the best hotel to stay in Girona if you want to sense histrory and real character of the city. Everyday cleaning meant only trash removal and making the bed during the whole 8 days of our stay. There was not soap in the bathroom but 4 shaving kits (for 2 ladies) instead and 4 dental care kits. We would sacrifice all those for a cake of soap.

A lovely two-floor apartment just inside the old city walls up a narrow winding cobbled road. Quiet and peaceful with a lovely little garden. The nearby lifts, used largely by the university students, saved having to walk up and down the equivalent of five storeys (although it closed at 8 in the evening). Beautiful location. Comfortable bed, air conditioning if you need it and a nice shower room (no bath). A few things - there is no phone in the room and no-one on site if things go wrong. This means that you have to make an international call to the apartment manager if things go wrong - or just put up with it. We had a problem with our safe and also there was no hot water in the sink or the washbasin for most of the time during our 9 day stay. The safe was sorted out, but not the hot water. For quite an expensive apartment, the kitchen equipment was a bit pathetic (broken griddle, only one saucer, mis-matched glasses, nothing to make coffee) and not clean. The cleaning was erratic - our bed was made every day but the sheets were never changed. Clean sheets and towels were left for us but not enough to replace those we were using. Kitchen was never cleaned (that was stated) but the floors weren't swept either. Really dirty under the bed! None of this spoilt the holiday, but maybe a little more attention to detail would be nice.

Great location in the old party of the city, the owner was really helpful and pleasant. If your travelling with children the big back garden was a real plus.I would recommend these apartments.

apartment very spacious and nicely furnished, very suggestive view from the windows, complimentary breakfast (instant coffee, tea bags, breakfast pastries), comfortable bed (especially bed linen) a bit difficult to find (look carefully at the map!) and decidedly hard to reach if you travel with heavy luggage; everything was ok, but the lack of a reception makes you feel a bit uneasy; instructions to enter the apartmnet are sent only 3 days prior to check-in: could be a problem if you are already on the road and without internet access
