Puerto de Santa Maria is a tangle of small, narrow streets, many of them designated one-way. Parking is on street, a competitive exercise. Larga 70 is located on a one-way street, a challenge to find. There is no on-site parking. A parking garage is located about one block away. Arrival on a weekend, when many come to enjoy the restaurants and bars of this cute town, means you'll pay to park, or walk a number of blocks to your car. The bigger your car, the greater your driving challenge.
We liked the funky layout of our two-level apartment. We had a bedroom, sleeping loft and bath upstairs and a living room and kitchen down. The building is Spanish traditional with windows on the interior court yard, both attractive and a bit less private (with windows and curtains open), and rather dark with things closed. Beds were comfortable, place was clean. The kitchen was pretty sparsely furnished, may be difficult if you plan on cooking much. We mostly chopped fruits and made salads, with eggs on the side. The staff were very solicitous and helpful.
