Everything about this place was perfect, the garden, the pools, the gym, the sauna, the apartment, and of course the staff. The area was also very quiet.
It was a bit far from the beach.
quiet location, easy to walk to beach & town, very clean - would definately stay again
The beds were really comfortable, the wifi was excellent, the best that we had anywhere in Spain, everything was spotlessly clean and the facilities were great. The nicest thing: after we checked out we spent the day on the beach and not only did they let us leave our car parked in the garage, they offered clean towels so that we could take showers in the workout area. We will go back.
Hmmmm, the walk back from the beach was a bit long but not too difficult.
We loved everything. 3rd time of staying at Marina Turquesa and it just gets better and better every time. lovely, clean villa, very friendly and helpful staff.
The private pool Air conditioning, although this was located in the main bedroom only, apparently. Choice of balconies Easy route to the beach Helpful staff. Lots of towels Cheap taxis and polite drivers.
On the private balcony we were too close to families in the next door building. Kitchen cupboard doors and kitchen door needed re-adjustment. This took away from the 'luxury feel'. More English speaking TV channels would be welcomed.
The villa was spotless, all staff friendly and we had our own pool!!
Never like mattresses when away but none are ever as comfy as home!!
We had to choose between clean towels and cleaning
very comfortable, attractive facility. Close supermarket with wonderful pool.
Long uphill walk from the beach. Uncomfortable mattresses.
The woman at the front desk went out of her way to help us change our rental car agreement -- she was extremely helpful and courteous. The pool was great. It's a charming hotel and very good for families.
It is a bit of a hike to the beach if you have smaller kids -- especially the hike back up! But this is a small complaint -- it's a great place to stay overall.
The pool and apartment were excellent.
In relation to the beach it was too far away.It was advertised as 800metres away but it was much further.
This place is superb. It is a little out of town but only a 20 minute walk and the road is well lit and paved. Beach a 10 min walk away down a lovely residential street. The apartments are spacious and extremely well equipped and clean. There is a large supermarket a 5 min walk away. Will definitely recommend this to others. Only tip I would have is if arriving late on a Sunday take done supplies as the nearest shop open is a fair walk. The people working here cannot do enough for you.
Loved it so nothing negative to say
Good location for a quiet relaxing holiday
For a luxury apartment it lacked the extras like a DVD player. Poor selection of TV channels.
Comfortable, very clean, all the staff on both reception and cleaning ladies were very helpful, always smiling
The apartment itself was very nice and well laid out. We had everything we needed and it is very close to a very good supermarket. It is a 15 min walk to the beach and 20 min walk to the centre of Nerja but we liked the walk in. It is quite hilly on the way back from the beach - not a problem for us - but it might be for some. The cleaning staff were excellent too - very efficient and very friendly, nice people.
The pictures suggest a spa-type aparthotel but this was not the case. Pretty much everyday there were families with screaming brats running around with no consideration for anyone else - particularly the two year old devil child who actually dominated his weakling parents. In some cases, the parents were actually worse than the kids. In a very small pool this is very annoying - particulary one strange Irish gentlement who was flapping around like a landed whale most of the time and seemed like he wanted a confrontation with someone. Not what we were looking for so we went to the beach most days. The reception staff were also very poor and reluctant to help us if we had any questions. The daily walk past reception ("the guantlet") was uncomfortable as the morose reception staff simply glare at you or just ignore you whilst they stare blankly at their computers. They were also very unfriendly and quite defiant if you ask for help or for extra towels etc. I get the impression that they don't like any form of human contact. I was also really annoyed by the 20 Euro charge levied by the hotel for the safey deposit box. For a hotel like this, I felt that it was a cheap trick to try and squeeze a bit extra money out of you when you've already paid a good price for the place itself - to me, it was not inkeeping with the image it seemingly wants to portray.
Nice pool and the walk to the beach was good training. Supermarket really close.
Many small things, like our doorlock was very hard to open, ants in the kitchen, remote control to the TV did not work and more. I'm not sure I think it was worth the money, it looks better on the pictures.
We thought these were excellent value apartments, especially as we were upgraded to a bigger one. It was a very well thought out complex-not too big. Everthing was immaculate and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were very surprised to get two lots of clean towels during the week. We think it was the nicer part of Nerja and there was a good supermarket very close by and it was only 15 minutes walk from a good beach and very good value resturants. We will definately go again.
Nothing. I know people have complained about the steep climb up from the beach but we found this very good exercise, and we are both over 60!
The apartment complex was clean and well presented. There was plenty of room for 7 people in our apartment and it was lovely to have all the basic breakfast groceries ready waiting for us.
There wasn't enough mirrors or plug sockets for a party of 7 women. We were told to ask for breakfast items when we ran out however when we did request it took several attempts to get them delivered. A better system would benefit the overall experience as we felt like we were being a nuisance even though we had paid for this service.
The apartment was immaculate. The pool area was lovely and well maintained. The facilities within the kitchen in the apartment were great. We would be happy to return. We didn't have our son with us as we were attending a wedding but the accommodation is flexible and would work well with children.
It was a bit of a trek to the beach and main town but taxis were easily available at 7 euro a trip. The walk back from the beach takes about 10-15 mins uphill but it is a nice scenic route.
Location away from the biz but near enough to walk to restaurants & bars. We had good views of pool & gardens & it was very quiet. Booked private parking in underground car park that was excellent. Would stay again if we return to Nerja.
Plenty of room
The WC leaked. The staff was not pleasant at all
Fantastic little find, will be back.
The apartments are very attractive and well equipped, we had a two bed ground floor overlooking pool. we had an invasion of ants which is partly due to the lovely grounds that surround it, the problem was quickly dealt with by staff who were very helpful in particular the lovely girl on reception who is expecting (sorry cant remember your name).
The location is quiet on the edge of town which is a struggle if you have a bad back or difficulty walking. Buriana Beach bars/restaurants not that far although down a very steep hill. Had the miss fortune to use the bar at the hotel by the Mercadona supermarket, that has a 4 hour happy hour. The staff were rude although couldn't blame them having to deal with some of the clientele we saw there.
It was quite easy to find. We arrived late and checked in no problems. Also allowed to stay 2 hours more which was a godsend after a long flight/drive. The pool area is nice, very well kept and clean.
We had a lot of luggage and there is no way from car park to apartments without using stairs. We were also put on a first floor up more stairs but not everyone will face this dilemna. It is a nice place overall compared to many. The breakfast is a welcome pack so be aware. Best not to order and stop at services approaching Nerja (from Malaga). Has everything you need including 2 euros for a 1 litre bottle of San Miguel which was much needed :-)
we LOVED IT!! we went all over Andalusia and stated in accommodation in a similar price bracket. This was THE best by far!! thank you!! we will be back!!!
lovely apartment. Great that it was cleaned half way through the week and we were offered more towels later on. Pretty complex with lovely walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Comfy beds. They dealt with our ant problem straight away.
Pool a bit cold and deep for my 5 year old.
