Apartamentos Oasis Mango  

Comfortable facilities, Politeness of Staff, Food&Beverage quality was surprisingly good, so summarizing brilliant value for money,

The receptionist assured a day before checking in that we would have 3 rooms together, at the check in we found out that the rooms were not at all together. As an advice for the future...better say I can not confirm your room numbers but we will do out best to make it possible!

The pool

Our room (701) was the worst we have ever had. It was for a disabled person/S. The wet room was atrocious. The water never went down the 2 drains, but out into the lounge and bedrooms. We are both 70, and the climb to the room was totally exhausting, being the highest block. It was only 5 metres from the main road, so sleeping after 7am was impossible.

The hotel was better than I expected according to previous comments! Location was very good - close enough to the beach and shopping (plus supermarket), still very peaceful. The view was wonderful, balcony was big & to evening sunshine. We had two-bedroom apartment and we were surprised how big it was... Only minus was quite a small dining table for such a big apartment. People had commented it was up on the hill but we didn't think that was too much, at least if you're healthy. A little bit of walking does not harm anyone :). Good free parking place just in front of the hotel. I would absolutely go back another time!

Kids commented that the pool could have been bigger. On the other hand we had luxury pool area in our previous hotel in Gran Canaria... We ate one dinner at hotel's restaurant Alfonso's and that was the worst and most expensive meal we had during our 11-day-stay in Tenerife.

Not disabled-friendly. A long walk uphill from the beach then many stairs to the apartment, but worth it when you get there! Only one door key.

See my previous review from April 2012 (Martin, Derby). We returned and that says it all. Great winter sun and value for money.

We had a flat in Block 3 (304) and found a cockcroach in the bathroom every night (and they are big on these islands) - until we changed appartments (to Block 6) where we had no pest problems at all (these appartments have recently been redecorated).

Comfortable apartments with good on-site facilities. Within walking distance of centre of Los Christianos, though a bit uphill on the walk back. Staff were friendly and helpful. In process of replacing TVs with new flatscreens whilst we stayed - 4 English channels available. Kitchen well equipped with large fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, 2 burner halogen hob, microwave. Beds were extremely comfortable.

Wifi was a bit patchy and at times fairly slow.

As we were looking for a quiet place to stay we were most happy with the location of this apartment, which was in a quiet area but not far from the beach, restaurants etc. The apartment was spacious and had a very nice ocean view. We really enjoyed the pool area, which was very clean and always had plenty free sunbeds (we stayed the last week of June 2012) and water in the pool was always nice and warm.

We found a giant kukaracha (!) under our bed :( We also really missed air conditioning, especially during the night

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of May 2012 having booked during a flash sale at £15 per night. We had no hesitation given the previous good reviews. Our apartment was as expected - comfortable, spacious, clean. Dont expect any luxuries though. The pool area was great - and our little ones loved it. Very clean, nice large heated pool, clean toilets and shower/change facilities if required, and a great snack bar with competetive prices. Most of the apartments can only be accessed by steps, so not so great for disabled guests, and we simply left out buggy in the car overnight which was parked outside on the road (plenty of car parki spaces). The beach and main resort area is a 10/15 minb stroll down the hill - the return walk is all uphill, but no major slopes to overcome. If we were looking again at a few nights as an option for a stop-over, I would certainly be looking at the Oasis Mango.

The accommpodation was very good and really very spacious and comfortable, for unbelievable price I wasn't sure if it would be good enough when I booked it but it met all my expectations. With late hour of arrival to tenerife, I found particularly advantageous that its reception is opened 24 hours a day ( not just few hours as other similarly classified accommodation). While we stayed only one night, for holiday makers the Oasis Mango has also decent swimming pool, for those who do not wish to spend all day long at the beach.

This is seriously, you guys:) The place is amazing. We initially booked it for a few nights, but after moving to other places we decided to return back to Oasis Mango. Both times we had big apartments with huge balcony and unbelievable mountain, city and sea view. Staff, rooms, price - everything was just simply the best. Plenty of places to park the car for free. The best beach on Tenerife is just 15 minute walk away straight throught the marvelous green alley. We'll be back, mmmkay!

The apartments were lovely and clean, the beds were changed regular and there were everything you needed in the room. The only downfall for us was the location as it wasn't where we thought from the desciption, it was far up some hills, not ideal to walk up twice a day and with a pram,there was some nice pubs down the road tho. Overall i would stay again but not with all the family.

The appartment was big, there was a separate bedroom, a kitchen, and a balcony facing the sea. The appartment was clean and in a quiet location in the middle of the complex. The hotel has a good location - sufficiently close to the sea, the restaurants and bars to get there quickly but also sufficenlty far away from their noise. We liked the pool area and the play area for children. We did not meet any of the "rude Germans" some of the other reviews complain about. The Germans staying there seemed all to be quite nice and polite. Many Scandinavians, Central Europeans, Spaniards and Britons stay there as well - none of them rude. Value for money is the strongest point. We would go there again.

The breakfast is basic but acceptable. There is a bit of a walk from the centre of Los Christianos and it is getting very steep on the last 20 metres. However, this is not an issue as long as you can walk. The fridge is very loud - but you can close the door of the bedroom. We had to pay for tv channels other than two German channels. This included English movie channels which we wanted since we are a multilingual family. However, these movie channels were only available for the first of our five days due to a technical fault. Although we pointed this out five times at the reception there was absolutely no effort to remedy the situation. This made us feel a bit cheated.
