Aparthotel Bertrán  

Position of location: very good, 5 minutes by walk to Metro station Tibidabo, were you come from, or can go directly to plaza Catalunia Line l7. Also both city tour bus companies, "blue line" stops at Tibidabo. Quiet area at hotel, no trafic in street of the hotel. Right next door is a small supermarket, were you can buy everything you need also fresh bread, open every from 9 am till 9:30pm. Restaurants: choice not so big, but one spanish "Molina" and one italien "Pietro" restaurant are close 150m, were you get very good food between 10 - 20 Euro. To go to the hotel from airport: we were four persons, it is faster and same price to go by taxi, arround 30 Euro. Airbus is 5,9 Euro per person to plaza catalunia, than you need metro ticket which is 1 or 1,8 Euro depending which ticket you buy. Anyway to drive taxi in Barcelona is not expensive. Take care, the metro ticket T10 (9,7 Euro) 10 rides, you can not use with multiple persons. Staff at hotel: very friendly and helpfull Apartment: is ok for this price, mattress are ok, very clean, they clean also everyday and change towels. Small pool on rooftop, ok to refresh or for the kids after a busy day, deck chairs also tables were you can eat your own snacks. Pool towels you get at reception. Kitchen, ok to prepare the breakfast perhaps cooking some pasta, for more it is probably not useful. Wifi: is free and was very good in the whole building If you don´t need a super luxury location with good value, I would recommand Bertran at any time, we were 2 adults and two kids 8-10 years old, stayed 5 days and didn´t regret. Tip: we ordered 4 single beds, perhaps better than sleeping couch and double bed.

The location was great for us, as we were just a short walk from the people we were visiting. Everything seemed quite clean, and the staff tidied our room every day.

The water pressure in the shower was really low, and the first morning it wasn't hot. Also the bed area didn't have a door and couldn't be closed off in any way to noise or light, so when one of us wanted to sleep and the other wanted to read in the sitting area, the quality of sleep was affected.

We did not end up staying. The photos they showed and the ad said it was a one bedroom apartment, but it was just one room with a bookshelf separating the bed and the couches. This was unacceptable. We booked a one bedroom so that the babies could be in one room while I worked in the other. I was there in Barcelona with my husband and two small babies and had to scramble to find a place to stay. The staff was very unfriendly ad rude about the whole thing, although they did refund my money promptly.

We were two couples and found the two bedroom apartment ideal for our needs. The location was fine for the evenings, as long as we took a meal in town before returning home. Enjoyed excellent breakfasts at the nearby french bakery. Easy access to city via metro and bus and walking distance to Parc Guell.

Our friends had the master bedroom and ensuite, which were generously sized and well appointed. We took the smaller bedroom, which had a king single bed and trundle. These were fine for sleeping but we had to rearrange the furniture in the small room in order to wheel out the bed and shut the bedroom door. This room would have better suited a 3rd guest rather than 3rd and 4th. There was a small bathroom that we used which was really too small and a bit shabby. This second bedroom was positioned between the two bathrooms and resounded with all the water noises from each of them.

We stayed for the long weekend and we highly recommend it! the staff was helpful and friendly. The room/apartment was big, clean and comfortable. The location is good, just 4 metro stations from Plaza Catalunya. We would definitely book it again.

On the internet, it appeared close to the Avenue Diagonal, it isn't. We paid for continental breakfast at 11E per person, and was then asked to pay an extra 3E for having yogurts. Parking is also 17E per night. Overly expensive for a very basic hotel.

The hotel is well situated just a few stations from Plaza Cataluna. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull with any queries. The hotel is very clean and I will definitely recommend it. Wonderful patisseries (pastrie shops) near the hotel. The area is very quiet and safe. I stayed 7 nights with my teenager daughter and I will return there.

You get much more than what you've paid for. The staff was friendly and very helpful! Perfect for a longer stay.

A bit far from the central Barcelona, BUT it's very easy to get there by local transport.

We loved the pool area on the roof, great access to metro and room was very roomy with a kitchette. One of the better hotels we have stayed at during this trip. A great little bar around the corner with reasonable prices.

We booked two rooms as I was travelling with my daughter, son in law and granddaughter. When we arrived we were offered a three bed apartment instead at no extra cost. My son had just arrived and we asked if he could stay too. The hotelier said yes with no extra cost. We really enjoyed staying there. The only part we did not like was that we had to return to the uk after only two days stay.I Would definitely recommend this hotel.

All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful with good spoken English. The apartment was clean and comfortable. A number of shops selling or serving food were nearby. The Metro station at Valcarca provided easy access to central Barcelona or the rer rail connection to the Airport. The roof-top pool was a bonus. Overall we were very pleased with our choice of this hotel for our stay in Barcelona - our first visit to Spain.

The apartment would benefit from the addition of a kettle and some additional sundries for food preparation.

The kitchentte was perfect for basic meals, large room was relaxing. The supermarket was ok, but round the corner were some amazing bakeries (Av Argentina I think) like L'Orbardor.

The wifi wasn't great, only worked on one side of the room and would cut out occasionally. Not the fault of the hotel but the nearby metro stop (Vallcarca) didn't have a lift and a lot of stairs, difficult if you have a pushchair.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff with good English. Located beside Metro, Buses, Blue Tram and Tourist Bus routes making transport effortless. Small Pool on roof with magnificent views. Excellent room cleaning service. Bars, Coffee Shops and Restaurants close by and a well-stocked Mini-Market next door. Private safe deposit boxes available in reception office on payment of €10 refundable deposit. Hairdrier in bathroom and good water pressure for showers. Large apartment with lounge and sleeping areas separated by room divider. Comfortable bed, sofa and armchairs.

The following comments are included for accuracy but didn't detract from our stay in Aparthotel Bertrán. It didn't interfere with our sleep or relaxation but there can be traffic noise in rooms at front of building if windows & shutters are open. The kitchen has a 2-plate hob but no oven, grill or kettle. TV channels available are predominately Spanish or Catalan and we were unable to find any international news channels. We were however able to view programs and films which were originally made in US/UK with the english soundtrack.

Impressed with hotel. Had everything we needed and everything was well sized and tidy. Good rooftop area with small swimming pool. Rooms are of a good size. Would recommend this hotel. Is a 5 minute walk from metro which is a few stops into Barca city center. Has a supermarket next door which is very convenient.

good sized apartment with space to sit, eat and sleep all separated plus a balcony. Staff really freindly and helpfull and facilities as described. No hidden costs for things even the safe-deposit box charge was returned when we handed in the key. Its in a residential area so not nearly as noisy as the centre but the Metro is on 10 mins away and you pass some really good cake/bread shops on the way!!! Also a supermarket , butchers etc. The 10 trip tickets on the metro cost E9.25 and enable you to travel for 75 mins each trip in the main area so we had no problems getting around. If you want a bit more choice of eating in or out and choosing when to start and end your day the apartment is great.

un personnel attentif, aimable et discret. renseignements et services facilités par une bonne pratique de l'anglais et même du français pour l'un d'entre eux. Appartement pratique, bien agencé et équipé.

l'isolation acoustique serait à revoir; nous entendions distinctement la télévision de nos voisins. Une demi heure à pieds et en métro pour rejoindre le centre ville. Et, au retour, les pentes sont rudes !

Pas grand chose... Standard et cher pour ce qu'il est. Quelconque sans aucune personnalité.

L'albergo ha un'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, si trova in una zona ben collegata con il resto della città e ricca negozi. Il personale gentile e disponibile parla e capisce bene l'italiano, la pulizia e la prima colazione sono ottimi. L'albergo dispone di piccoli apartamenti con cucina molto comodi, di una piccola piscina in terrazza e di una palestra.

Un personnel très à la hauteur, de la femme de ménage au directeur, toujours prêt à rendre de bons et loyaux services, capable d'initiatives et d'une remarquable gentillesse.

La piscine en réfection (non indiquée sur internet), la connexion wifi s'interrompant de façon intempestive, l'insonorisation insuffisante des murs et du mobilier (achat de bouchons d'oreille pour dormir)
