Location near beach and restaurants. Staff very helpful room good and clean. Cooking facilities good. A car is a necessity and parking could be difficult in normal season.
This apart hotel is right on the beach, one can walk to the beach directly from the garden of the hotel. It was very comfortable (good sized bed, in case of our room, we had a separate bedroom), nice view on the see from the balcony. As we were here in October, it was quite silent. Still, based on the number of houses nearby and the size of the beach area, probable the beach is not as much crowded in the high season as other beaches in South Spain. The place was clean, and the garden was very well maintained.
As this is a self-catering place, we had to buy the neccessary small consumables (like salt, washing-up detergent, etc). In similar places, roomkeepers usually leave such small things in the kitchen from the previous guests - we left our stuff there for the next guests, and hope, it was not "cleaned up" after we left. This is insignificant on the cost side, but it is convenient, if one shall not go for a washing up liquid right after arrival.
There is no late arrival service. If you plan to arrive after 22.00 the reception is closed and you don't get the key (even if you warned the hotel in advance!).
Separate bedroom, living room and kitchen. Privacy
Window in the kitchen showed the hotel hall. Fortunately it was covered with a curtain.
Very clean and well furnished apartments; gorgeous views of the pool area and sea; very quiet - especially mid afternoon
Pools didn't open until 11am; Had to rely completely on our car as there were no shops nearby and apart from a couple of beach bars it was 2+ miles to the harbour where most of the restaurants were; the beach bar outside the hotel only served food at lunchtime so no option but to head out with 4 children - nearest restaurant we found was about 20 minutes walk away; beach / sea wasn't great for young children - sloped very quickly; hotel is right on the main road so some apartments were quite noisy; we only stayed for 3 nights but on our last full day there we were told that the pools wouldn't open at all as the person that cleaned them hadn't come - although they did then open at lunchtime, no-one in our party understood enough Spanish to work out what had changed so we were a bit nervous about letting the children in - especially as the water was very green; no beach activities for older children; lower ground floor toilets near the pool were constantly locked so had to take children to our 4th floor apartment several times per day
Very good equipment at apartament, very good localisation, on the beach, swimming pools, nice garden,
Price for car park
Location was excellent. We had a 2br 2bath apartment , with large balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Beach bar was nearby, suoermarket a long walk or short drive down the road. Very relaxing and away from all the crowds further down the coast. Staff had limited English but still very helpful.
Large bed (180 + wide) and air conditioning. Proximity to beach. Walkway now finished to Puerta de la Duquesa, Good free WIFI ( when you selected the right signal.)
Expensive taxi fares to port or Sabinillas. Walk to nearest supermarket over 15 mins. Limited accessories in kitchen ( no cloths or scourers or tea towels).
The view, the size of the pool, the distance to the beach, the kitchen facilities, and the friendlyness of the staff (especially Manoly).
The indoor pools were closed. The Spanish people are very noisy, and begin their dinner after midnight! The pool boy did not understand English and thus we were unsure if the pool could be used outside opening hours (11-21). Dogs were not allowed in the hotel, but despite this, there were several dogs. Some had brought their bird which starting singing at 7 in the morning!!
Views. Right on the beach. Peaceful
No small supermarket near
The place is practically on the beach and quite secluded, not "in the middle of things". That was for us ideal. Appartments are very comfortable and clean, everything is in fact very clean and well managed. The staff are very friendly and really made all our wishes come true. Thank you Manoly and greetings from Germany! We will come back.
The only less fortunate aspect is that the hotel is located near the road. Some rooms are more exposed to it than others. But it is nothing that can't be coped with, really.
dirty dishes in cupboards, found garbage on floor from previous guests. have to pay for internet in your room, really internet costs nothing it should be free. small room with no table space
The great friendly service we received from the staff, nothing was a problem to them, FAB.
Could not get TV stations
Nice rooms with full facilities for self catering. Excellent lady Manoly at reception.Great sea views from bedroom.
Hotel was very quiet during my stay so no intereaction with other guests
It was quiet, had nice pool and right beside the beach. No high rise. Not far from Gibraltar
Only 1 restaurant nearby and it is excellent. Others are a 20 min walk along beach or else you have to drive and these cater mainly for English tourists.
Very small towels and never replaced, ants, no sockets in kitchen area for boiling kettle, shower too small to move in, when sitting on toilet knees squashed against opposite wall, beds uncomfortable and sheets not changed, not very clean, location..............
