Hotel Aranea  

Great location close to main road in center of town but far enough away to be relaxing and quiet.

The hotel was suitable for our trip, where we spent very little time in the hotel. The room was well air-conditioned and location was relatively easy to get to from lots of the main tourist areas - we did a lot of walking, but didn't mind that. Very well priced and a definite safe bet if you want a good, clean hotel with polite service

Our room was very small, which wasn't a problem as we were just using it as a base but it wouldn't have been very relaxing if we had wanted to spend more time in it. There was also a lot of slamming doors and the hotel was quite noisy. On previous visits I have stayed closer to Las Ramblas which I found more convenient for a lot of the places to visit

Very good hotel. Room is commodious, big bathroom. Clean, comfortable. Nice managers at reception and very quick workers at cafe. Thank you for a good time at your hotel.

Deficiency of soap in the bathroom...Soap was only at first day of ten days of our stay. It seems trifle, but unpleasant when you come and can't wash your hands. I emphasize, it's only one problem, really.

They were suppose to provide Wifi in every room. Reality is that I even had to change rooms 3 times and Non of them had internet. The Hospitality from the lady at the lobby was anything but kind

No view from window but your there for sleep so not an issue.

Location is a bit far from the very centre - you always have to use underground

I’d like to emphasize the very high professional level of the hotel staff. All receptionists are well English speaking and their work is perfect. Especially I have to note the service of receptionist who was on duty at the night shift by April 11, 2013. Unfortunately, I did not ask his name that was definitely my fold. This gentleman was very kind and provident. I appreciate very much his help and keep very pleasant reminisces of my stay at Aranea hotel.

Because we have taken the room with double bad I would advice to the administration to use the room of this type only for one person. It was too tight for two people.

Nothing

The rooms are vey small (a double room is like a single). The receptionists are not nice. If you ask for a better room they will not help you. The breakfast is very poor and costs 12 euros. The internet connection is not working well in the rooms also most of the rooms have problems with the heat, so in the rooms is very cold. Also every service from hotel you have to pay, for example if you want to print something to the copy machine it will cost you 20 euro cents each paper.

All necessities could be found within a block of hotel....pharmacy, grocery, restaurants, bars, clothing, cash machines, etc.

We asked for a second pillow but they delivered it only after a second request. Room air conditioner was broken and it was replaced by a fan heater.

Very noisy

Hotel Aranea met my demands for a nice, friendly place to spend the night, rest in order to recharge in order to meet the new day with renewed energy. so I actually just need a friendly atmosphere, peace and quiet ind order to be content and satisfied.. In addition to this the possibily of buying a nice, freshly brewed coffee in the restaurant In the room we were given initially the safe did not work, fine that we immediately were given another room.

I like bread to fresh from the owen. Since that was not the case at the breakfast buffet, we had breakfast in the restaurant only on the first day of our visit. But much to my surprise,I discovered, that we vere charged for three breakfasts instead of the two we actually enjoyed.... Of course I should have checked before paying, so I will just recommend other guests to check, before they pay. I would recommend carpets in the hotel corridors in order to reduce noise from people wallking to and fro their rooms.

The breakfast choices and quality seemed to decline from the weekend to the mid-week days. We didn;t bring a laptop, and there were no computers avialabel to guests without laptops.\limited choice of tv stations |(no access to international cable tv and news
