Location is great! Rooms are a bit small and need to be refreshed. One could see marks of moisture, multiple use over time, ..Breakfast is outstanding and the breakfast room is one of a kind. Lady of the house(owner) is very professional, friendly, supportive, .. for everyone. Spend the required/well balanced time with her guests without being all over them.

à very rare combination of modernity (design, look&feel, wifi) and cosiness (small hotel, extremely friendly people, cosy, homemade dishes with homegrown vegetables). Ideally located between Bilbao and San Sebastian, very quiet location, the only sound to be heard is the sea below. Spanish, Basque, French and English spoken. Top boutique hotel!

Stylish modern hotel in a wonderful location between Mutriku and Deba. Pool built for swimming in. Perfect sea views. Well-cooked local food served in a glass-walled restaurant. A small problem with lack of shady rest areas making sunny days only enjoyable for the brave or covered up.

Comfortable, boutique hotel. Modern, high quality furnishings and a beautiful setting overlooking the Atlantic. No direct access to beach, however, and it is essential that you have a car if visiting this area and the hotel. The Owner is gracious and very helpful in describing local activities and things to do. Surrounding landscape is breathtaking-- sort of like the Austrian Alps on the Ocean. Great hikes and quaint fishing villages all within a 5-10 minute drive.

One of the best breakfast's I ever had; it was outside, beautifull view over the ocean and good food. Nice personal approach from the staff. You need a car for all activities; almost nothing is on walking distance.

Wonderful Owner who went out of her way to provide service above the norm. Sunny quiet room overlooking the sea. Great to do the Deba walk for 4 hours then come back and relax in the sunshine/pool. The food was also fantastic with lots of local cuisine.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, rooms with sea views and a short drive away from the nearest town. The hotel is finished in to an exceptional standard and extremely modern. The views from the restaurant are fabulous. The proprietor is lovely, very helpful and always on hand to give advice. My husband was taken ill whilst we were there and she was very helpful in getting hold of a doctor for us.

The hotel was new and extremely comfortable. It is run by the owners who are very friendly and extremely helpful. We had a great stay. Good place to stay to explore the countryside and is midway between Bibao and San Sebastian. You do need a car to get around from this hotel.

Fabulous bijou hotel, on its own with nice gardens. Very modern and well thought-out design. Beautiful location close to Mutriku on a hillside with a splendid view overlooking the sea. Spanish, French and English spoken by very welcoming and delightful lady owner/manager. Dinner was available starting at around 7 P.M. unlike many restaurants in Spain which don't open till later. Dining room is spacious with big plate glass windows allowing the lovely view to be appreciated. Each table is adorned with a beautiful orchid. Bed very comfortable. No negative comments at all. The Arbe is our chosen hotel for our next visit.

The son spoke good english this was a help as we spoke no spanish his mother spoke no english but was a delight, the view from the garden where breakfast is servied is to be seen . there is still a little work to be done in the garden but this did not detract from our stay .
