Position in the center of the old town, brilliant place.
The stairs, no windows except opaque one that don't really open.
The hotel was less than 100m from the charming picturesque port. The underground parking was very close as well. It was delightful to wander through the streets of such a picturesque and historic place. The hotel was outstandingly neat and had a delightful appearance.
On a tiny, bar-filled backstreet on the very edge of the "Old Quarter" - one couldn't wish for a better spot. Quiet, beautifully decorated (although minimalist) and with helpful Staff. The lack of catering isn't a problem, as there are so many cafes and restaurants immediately adjacent. A lovely little hotel - don't let the 2 Star rating fool you.
As a Guest with mobility issues, the stairs were a (small) problem. For most people, however, they won't be an issue at all!
Location, sitting on the balcony in the evening, good room size, good bathroom.
Noisy outside in the early hours of the morning.
Great location bang in centre of old town, great price, friendly staff, top notch and loved the balcony terrace Good deal with their sister restaurant overlooking harbour.
We were presented "our room", which was located next to the reception (I guess noisy), for 10 € extra we could have a better room - a clever trick. Windows were frosted.
Location was very handy - just outside and around the corner was the promenade and eateries. Despite streetside location (above shops on shopping street) slept well - but our room overlooked the side of other buildings and air conditioning trunking (which was masked by the main window being entirely of frosted glass). Bed comfortable but room was maybe too much 'style' over comfort?
Room small. Leaky basin. Use of polished concrete everywhere meant footfall noise a bit of an issue. Glad we didn't have too many late night revellers staying at the same time.
Location was not too bad in centre of old town.
No parking. Had to go to municipal car park and then carry our luggage to hotel. No porter. One member of staff in the hotel, they were rather brusque and unhelpful.
In the heart of the town, close to the port. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room with good Wi-Fi, and nice 'rainfall' shower. Attractive modern design in an old building.
In our particular room, the balcony from the next room extended past our window, which meant that in order to ensure privacy we needed to keep the blinds closed.
Lovely room and terrace - no hairdryer.
Stairs were not a problem but could be if you took much luggage. Sat nav had problem finding it.
Noise from other rooms
It's 2 stars hotel but it should have more stars beause the room was spacious and very clean. Equipped with sofa and rain dish shower
No lift so do not take heavy luggage over there
this is the best two stars hotel that I have ever been, it's clean, bright, spacious and so pleasantly modern, impeccable and helpful staff. Absolutely brilliant, strongly recommend
the WI-FI apparently always very good didn't work in the rooms for most of the time
Location, unusual decor, friendliness of receptionist, value for money, and cleanliness of room and bathroom. Wifi was amazingly fast.
For a mature couple with bags a lift would have been beneficial.
modern, esthetic, in the heart of old town square, close to the ocean, friendly staff
The rooms are a bit noisy,it is in the city centre, not an easy sound proof location...No hair dryer or shower cap... There is no dinning area, or breakfast included, only a cozzy and modern bar in the hotel loby for coffee- drinks.
Excellent location. Helpful, friendly staff.
Not really suitable for more than an overnight stay.
Great location, public car park 2 mins walk away (€14.7 for 24 hours). Stylish rooms, quiet, v comfortable bed, friendly staff, good value. Loads of places to eat and drink, all very close by. Castro Urdiales is WELL worth a visit.
Be aware there is no lift - not a problem for us but stairs are steep and room could be on 4th floor.
Great value for money and vibe in a designer hotel right in the heart of Castro's nightlife area. The walk-in shower in particular and the bathroom in general.
Defective lock on the door to my personal terrace let in a bit more noise than I needed at 3.00am (Management are fixing the door now).
The location near the bustling port area and shops and the excellent underground nearby carpark. There are excellent cafes nearby for breakfasts - Spanish style.
The fact that there is no lift, which can be a bit of a handicap for the older traveller. But having said that, it would be difficult to see how they could have fitted one in to the hotel.
