Hotel Areca  

Very friendly and helpful staff, they always were approachable and wanted to help. The hotel is located just over a 5 minute drive from the airport. The room was clean, modern and spacious. Free wi-fi in the rooms. There was a minibar in the room that had free water and Fanta. Overall a brilliant place to stay.

The resturant is such a contrast to the standard of the hotel. Do not eat in the hotel restaurant. It is very expensive, and the food qaulity and quantity is poor. I ordered the garlic rabbit, what I got was skin covering a rabbit's skeleton, with chips. Very little meat on the rabbit. My partner had duck with a mixed berry compote. What she got was duck covered in a chilli dipping sauce. Cafe food at gourmet prices. Minor criticisms. The hotel-airport shuttle is not 24 hours, it operates 5am to 6pm, but a taxi is €10. The spa is only open from 7pm to 10pm.

The rooms were a little too modern for my taste - the bathroom had no doors and the shower and toilet had glass swing doors - which travelling alone was fine - but sharing a twin with a colleague was a little weird...

This Hotel is an unexpectedly stylish and comfortable oasis on the outskirts of Elche and within 5 minutes of the airport. We liked pretty much everything about it and were particularly impressed with the receptionist who was courteous, efficient and spoke very good English. The rooms were large with excellent wash and toilet facilities and the free wifi was a useful bonus. The price at under 60 euros for the night must be hard to beat. Considering the size of the hotel and it's position you couldn't expect more than it offers which includes a spa, an attractive garden, underground safe parking and a chic restaurant. Suffice to say we were impressed.

The only negative was a group of guests, I assume, who came in very loudly around 4a.m and took a long time to settle - they seemed to find the whole process of arriving at the hotel hilarious and worthy of loud commotion.

Very clean Hotel, close to the airport, good breakfast. Good value for money. We used the hotel just for a night to take the flight on the following morning.

There is no "turist-life" on the neighbourhood as restaurants, shops, etc.

Just the simple basics were all good and excellent value for money.

The hotel was clean , friendly & the staff where very friendly & plolite nothing was too much trouble.

We only stayed for one night, we had arrived at Alicante airport late and had a long journey, so it was a stop over for us. The only negative for me was we didnt arrive until late and by the time we had took luggage etc to our room and sorted us out. We would have liked to get a sandwich in hotel. However we were told the kitchen had closed which was understandable as it was approx 11.15.. Perhaps when booking in advance we could be offered the facility of ordering a sandwich before we arrive. .

hotel was nice and close to the airport. Even though their shuttle service stops quite early, taxi was only €10 and around 5 mins away from airport. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable and I want for nothing more when having a short stay ...or a longer stay for that matter.

The helpful and friendly staff. The design, cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The late dinner in the cafe bar was delicious and the barman/waiter was friendly and courteous. Easy shuttle to the airport the next morning just about 5 minutes away.

Modern, clean, next to Airport, good price.

I really needed a cup of coffee before I left for the airport at 5:00 A.M. and although I was told the receptionist or shuttle bus driver could have made me a cup when I came downstairs, there was not enough time. If I had been told the night before when I checked in, I would have asked for it! A small detail but for a coffee lover and a really early morning it would have rounded off my stay perfectly! The address and details for findingn the hotel not clear, we passed the hotel in the bus and then had to pay 18euro to get a taxi back.

No privacy in the bathroom as the shower is open plan into the bedroom

We were impressed with the service, friendly, efficient staff, room, spa, secure parking and close to the ifa.
