We were met by Pedro when we arrived and his service was exemplary. The map provided to us by email after we booked was an invaluable aid for arriving by car.
Entry to and exit from the car park is difficult (but possible) with a midsize car. Perhaps best avoided if you have a large car
Quiet location in the heart of Granada, comfortable and spacious appartment, very helpful and kind owners, fantastic for a family of four. Two minutes away from restaurants and bars, 20 minutes from Alhambra...
On ground floor, ask for the key to the iron fences on each window as these could be a trap in case of fire.
Even before arrival the staff here were amazing, emailing me details of how to reach the suites and car park. They arranged our Alhambra tickets and gave us details of the spa. Our 2 bedroom suite was lovely and spacious. The receptionist gave us a map and told us the good areas to eat and visit. On our final morning we used the spa which was lovely and relaxing.
Ask for a room on the top floor as there are tiled floors so we could hear the people above us moving around.
Beautiful, cosy apartment just perfect for two people or even up to four. The staff is very friendly, the location in Granada's centre is perfect. They sent us a very detailed description on how to arrive so we found the hotel and the parking easily. Parking is quite narrow but there shouldn't be a problem unless you drive a huge SUV. Definitly recommendable, we would always come back! One of our best stays in Andalusia!
The spa and kitchen facility!
Property is spacious, quiet and yet super central!
ideal location, as we walked everywhere and were attended by very useful staff. It felt very homey with all the essentials amenities making our stay comfortable.
I would expect the basic spa facilities to be free. Also the hotel could include some basic culinary essentials, like oil and seasoning.
A friend and I stayed there for 4 nights, and compared to a hotel it is excellent value for money. Lots of space, great location with so many cafes & bars around that you needn't worry about it being self catering. Lovely friendly staff and very clean. We didn't use the spa so I can't comment on that
The fire alarm went off one night and we had to call an emergency number to get a member of staff to come round. He arrived within 10 minutes but it was a bit scary that there are no staff based on site
Lovely clean characterful apartment in the centre of Granada. Nice and quiet despite being central. Never made it to the spa but the whole building smelt fresh from it. Gracious host. Helped get tickets to the Alhambra even though shown as sold out online.
excellent location, walking distance to city center, friendly/helpfull staff, clean big room
spa was nice but could've been cheaper
Fantastic location. Helpful staff. Everything you need for a relaxing and inspiring holiday.
On the basis of previous glowing reviews, we booked Arte Vida for 4 nights during a recent trip round Andalucía. We had one of the 1 bedroom apartments on the ground floor. The location is central and ideal for visiting all the main sights. The staff are very helpful and the apartment was clean and well-maintained (although a kettle and a chopping board would not go amiss).
The apartment was darkly lit and seemed slightly dingy as a result (it is after all on the ground floor). More importantly, noise from both sides of the apartment could occasionally be intrusive. The front of the apartment overlooks the reception area and the comings and goings there can be easily overheard. It would be a simple matter to install a hinged shutter to help block out the noise. The rear of the apartment overlooks an internal courtyard which seems to used by the neighbourhood kids. Their chatter can be a distraction. Moreover, on the Tuesday of our visit, the courtyard was occupied by a vagrant who spent the best part of the morning and afternoon sleeping there. I recognise that the hotel probably cannot police the courtyard. Nonetheless, it is more than a little disconcerting to waken up and find a homeless person sleeping directly outside your bedroom window. Thankfully, it only happened once. So, all in all, a bit of a curate's egg. Some good things. But equally some things we could have done without. Would we go back? Possibly but, next time, I think I'd look for something on the second floor or above.
We lived everything about our one-bedroom apartment fool of charm. Just regret that we had two nights there. The owners were excellent and helpful. We loved Granada and will come back and stay in this place.
Everything was perfect
Very accommodating staff ..in a quaint building ..5 minutes from most attractions . Staff was great ..got us advanced ticketing for the Alhambra ..definitely recommend that. Wifi was terrific and a/c very good. Comfortable furnishings ..could use a little updating but overall very pleased with the entire experience and wod strongly recommend especially if you have kids old or young traveling with you ..can't beat the value .
Vintage Decor, Close to centre Helpful staff
Hard to find initially and parking was a bit of a nightmare, but once you get there, it's handy to the centre
Really helpful staff gave good advice where to visit, wher to eat etc. V spacious apartment
The staff, including owner Pablo, we're exceptionally kind and helpful. The various suites, including the one we stayed in, plus two others we had a chance to view before departure, all offered a remarkable amount of space, each with its own unique character. The location was perfect... Close to lots of great tapa bars, Grand Via shopping, and links to all the most significant sites. A restorative spot to return to any time of the day or night. Much prefer boutique offerings such as this. Enriches our experience at a price point that leaves us wondering why anyone would consider staying anywhere else!
If there is a negative, it might be that there are only 7 suites, so we worry we may find it difficult to book when next we are in Granada. We shall return!
Like the sound of flowing water.Nice reception with detailed explanation of must-see of the city.
Great location. Friendly staff. Nicely decorated rooms.
Wi-fi was weak.
The host was excellent. He was very helpful.
The gentleman on reception was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and great value for money! Perfect location as well.
The hotel was quite hard to find - make sure you read the directions that are sent to you in the confirmation email and do not rely on GPS.
The staffs. Value of money.
The rooms have NO sound isolation and the problem of conducting sound is really a problem. You can absolutely trace the locations where the occupants up floor by hearing the disturbing sounds . The furniture are made with woods and thus causing lots of ＂ bang＂when someone close the doors or the windows. Be prepared with ear plugs!
Lovely old building. In the heart of the city, near shops and restaurants, easy to get bus up to Alhambra. Parking. Helpful staff. Good air con. Spacious appartments
We didnt get to use the spa amd this didnt seem very well promoted or easy to book. Sofabed in living room not very comfortable for more than the odd night.
Staff was excellent, very helpful - Claudio, you were a prince, sir. Lots of room, air conditioning (which was needed) was working well. Location is terrific, Calles Navas is very nearby, a great place to cruise the tapas bars or to have desayuno in the morning.
Our room had a washer/dryer combo. We struggled using it, and ran into problems getting our clothes dried - sometimes requiring multiple cycles. Claudio did his best to help us out, but I just have to say the unit didn't function well.
