Our family have just returned from a wonderful four day stay at the Astari hotel. The hotel was perfect in every way. Each bedroom had a balcony either a view of the beautiful pool or luxurious houses on Via Augustaand it's environs. The rooms were spacious, modern and very clean. The bathrooms were equally clean. The pool area had plenty of well shaded garden furniture and so this provided a lovely location for a morning coffee or a quiet nightcap..The Astari is only a short walking distance from the main town and a short walk to a number of beautiful small beaches. We would definitey return there. Catherine ,Frank and family, Malahide

Excellent pool. Quiet location. Cleanliness. Staff seemed helpful. Breakfast was comprehensive, even for Billy Bunter. Evening meal offered was basic and uninteresting, certainly overpriced. The distance from Placa De La Font with a variety of bars and competitively priced restaurants was just too far to be comfortable. Staff, generally, were fine, but not outgoing. We missed a good market twice during our week there, due to lack of information from the staff. Key Hotels should encourage their staff to be more forthcoming about local events perhaps through a noticeboard at reception etc.

Nice view of the sea from the room balcony and friendly staff. The room smelt funny despite leaving the window open (in the winter!) to air out the room. Tv was tiny.

Free parking on street. Nice balcony looking out over the bay. Nice comfy double bed. Stylish interiors. Nice size room. Working wifi in room. A little far from the centre of town - a good 10 minute walk.

It was positioned well fornthe train station and to walk to the old city. The restaurant served a very poor meal and the first room I chose had very bad smelling drains - however, the staff changed my room very quickly and were very polite.

Hotel is located within walking distance to the city centre. Not many restaurants around; be prepared to walk 6-7oo meters to the main streets if you don't want to eat at the hotel.

The restaurant for dining in the evening was poor, there was little choice and the quality of food was poor, hence for the remainder of our stay we dined out.

Good location for beach and seaside. its 5 minute walk from hotel to beach. Hotel is located at main street, so very good location. The old town and city center are also walkable. Overall good hotel. Swimming pool was not clean. No direct bus from train station. You need to go city center and change again the bus.

Astari was the first hotel of our stay in Spain and was a jet lag recovery period. It is very close to old town Teragona so were able to walk everywhere we went. We loved the Rambla and were able to wander around it as well as the beach. The resturant was just ok but not good value for the money. Al in all we enjoyed our 2 night stay and would use it again.

Very comfortable. Enjoyed swimming and playing pool. Menu was limited but accepting business is not brisk at this time was carefully chosen to satisfy most people. Breakfast, with its more international acceptability, was excellent. Overalll we enjoyed our stay. Nothing in English on tv.

The hotel has an excellent location! It's literally 10 minutes from beautiful Arabassada Beach and 5 minutes from the Miracle Beach. It's also a 12 minutes walk from beautiful old town in Tarragona and the same distance to the city center (Rambla). When booked we asked for a sea view room, when got there we did get a very nice, big room with big terrace and a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. The staff is very friendly, speak English. Although the hotel has the parking, it was full when we arrived. We parked 50m from the hotel on the street and left the car there for the entire stay, so we didn't have to pay. Breakfast was good and worth the price (7,80 euros per person/day). We dined twice and next days decided to try local cafeterias. One of them is right around the corner and it's run by a very kind and nice lady from Lithuania. Local grocery store is 5 minutes away, so is atm and gas station, etc. Hotel has a nice pool. Room has small fridges. Every day cleaning service with fresh towels. A big plus is a town itself! Tarragona surprised us with its charming old town, nice city center and beautiful beaches. Hotel needs a little refresh. The lobby and restaurant is quite nice. Rooms remember mid 90'S. They are clean but need new carpeting, furnishing etc. Bed wasn't to comfortable. The air conditioning was working however in our room it was leaking. We didn't ask for other room as we wasn't really using it. We've informed staff about the problem but they didn't solve it. The staff at the restaurant don't speak English, however it wasn't necessary to talk since the hotel serves buffet type of breakfasts. Thin walls, so sometimes you could hear your next door neighbors.
