Very nice hotel in a very nice part of Valencia. Public parking was within a block, not easy in Spain's 3rd largest city! Location is outstanding for seeing the city, yet not too bad for traffic noise. Breakfast was very nice.
Not a thing to complain about, except not being invited to the beautiful wedding reception upstairs!
The location was perfect - in a small square in the old town. Facilities and accommodation were first rate.
Had to leave to go back home too soon.
design location free water
there should be choice of pillows
Location Facilities Breakfast Room service Staff
Sometimes in the room we smell smoking perhaps coming from the vents or the next room even though we were supposed to be in smoke-free room
Central location, plenty of restuarants in easy reach, comfortable rooms.
Breakfast room could do with improvement. Food great, needs more room
Extremely polite and nice staff, especially Carmen! We got amazing huge double bed with one gigantic cover not as usual two separate covers!!! The room was spacious, clean and very pleasant!
Location Friendly personel
Please improve the pc in the 3rd floor, the bysiness center.
Great location ideal for my friend and I to explore Valencia. Greeted by helpful staff , spacious room with large bathroom. Bed was comfortable and room clean. Although we stayed late August and the hotel was busy, we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet our room was. We thought the breakfast room had super views across the rooftops and we felt the breakfast offered was good and plentiful. The bar was stylish and we enjoyed cocktails there during our stay. All in all, we would recommend a stay at the Ayre Hotel Astoria palace.
Our only gripe was with the air conditioning unit which was noisy.
Excellent location. Staff very helpful. Good sized room and bathroom. Taxi stand very handy. Beautiful little placa with fountain and bars/restaurant at front door.
Bathroom a little "tired". Plumbing slow and a bit smelly. Air con a little noisy and not very efficient but ok.
excellent location, nice breakfast very good price
mold in the shower celling
It was really close to everything we needed.
We have stayed here many times. A perfect location with spacious and very comfortable rooms.(we personally prefer the older style rooms on the lower floors). Staff are very friendly and efficient. Thanks to Carmen, who had to book us in during a power cut, for her helpfulness and professionalism.
Free water in fridge in room.
No tea/coffee facilities in room.
Staff, especially on Reception Desk, extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely quiet room and excellent location for city centre and sightseeing, near the train station and easy journey to airport from metro nearby.
Would have liked to have had more than one pillow and also tea/coffee making facilities in room although I understand that this isn't the norm in Spain.
Superb location , very friendly and helpful staff. A good place to relax yet close to a lovely city centre.
I had asked for a quiet room, and they gave me exactly that. The staff was excellent, always kind and uncompromisingly helpful: in the first day I noticed a problem with a a water infiltration in the bathroom; they promptly solved it in the next morning. Then on the last day I needed their help due to a clogging problem, which was immediately fixed, in spite of having occurred at about 2AM! The hotel has a small Gym in the first floor which I found quite nice and useful.
Part of the furniture is old and could be in a better condition.
excellent place in all items, great location, beautiful buildong, comfortable rooms
very bad wi fi service
Great property in a great location...very clean!
wifi was complicated
Location was excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Comfort and cleanliness could not be faulted.
That we could not stay for a longer holiday.
1. The location of the hotel is excellent, you can easily access everything you need - by bus, by metro. 2. The breakfast was also tasty - fresh orange juice, jamon, and other food in the continental style.
The hotel is rather old, especially bathroom (in the end of our stay toilet bowl went out of order), neighbors can be easily heard. At first we were given the room 302, but even though the room has double bed, as we have requested, it does not have normal window, well, there is a window to a black dirty ventilation/ air trunk. Afterwards we were given room 402 with window, but with two separate beds, this time the problem was that two mattresses were not the same, one was lower and more used than the other, which of course affected the sleeping quality negatively.
Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpfull. Positioned off a small intimate Plaza, you didn't feel like you were in the middle of a busteling city.
Location is its strong point. Staff are friendly and helpful. Let's face it: the hotel is cheap at 53 euros per night, so as long as you bear this is mind, you're fine but this is certainly not clean enough for families with young children and babies.
1. There was disgusting mould growing in the bathroom. 2. The sheets were stained and frayed. 3. No bellboy or anyone to help with luggage. 4. Rooms didn't feel clean. 5. Parking lots in separate building in a dark narrow car park: I did not feel safe walking up to my car. 6.breakfast was nothing fantastic despite some of the reviews here. 7. Do what we did: check out and go to a nicer hotel, esp if u have young kids. The Caro was more expensive but soooo worth the extra money!!!
Everything - the staff were amazing, everything was pristine, it is in a fantastic location. I would recommend it definitely!!!
