Only the position
The WiFi was very expensive, the rooms weren't clean at all.
Good size room
No air conditioning No wifi Mildew smell Old bed and linens Not very helpful at front desk Overpriced
Hot night, window open, street noise until 3 am, then at 6 am. No fan in room to stay cool & drown out noise.
It was filthy, smelled of smoke and the staff was unwelcoming and unfriendly. We left without staying the night, and without getting our money back
Location is good, right in the center of the city, within walking distance of the most useful transport hub.
Breakfast is a waste of money. Predefined and with nothing to choose from. Service is moderate, polite, but rather detached. Room was rather noisy because the window frames were old and were letting in all the noise from outside.
Poor facilities, noisy street, hot temperature and no air conditioning, basic breakfast, no buffet,
Location was great to see the lively areas in central Madrid including Retiro Park all in easy walking distance. Accommodation was basic but clean and facilities adequate when your main aim is to spend time out in town and not in hotel. Great value.
Dated internal decor and sanitaryware. Noisy at night but that comes with the area. Hot in rooms if staying in summer. We stayed in September and it was OK with windows opened.
Everithing else. Wors hotel ever. Please have mercy on yourself and do NOT book this hotel. It is shameful for booking.com to advertise this hotel
rooms are not clean. towles had a spider
Location, but there are better ones around the area.
Everything. Run away, there are better ones out there. This place needs major reno. We stayed just a night & run out the following day. The 6.5 rating is way to high for this...it should be more like 2 or 3. I am being honest, you would regret it if you book here. I'm sorry Asturias-Madrid, but you really need to step up your game.
Good Location with good stay at Asturias
Cheap, good location
Nothing spectacular, no air conditioning, have to pay for WiFi
It was so close to the center of the city .
Lack of AC created a very bad nights ! Very small and too much old type hotel . The only hotel I have ever seen withought telephone in the rooms . The TV in room was made at least 3 decades ago and was antique in terms of size !
The location was excellent the stuff were so kind and the room was so clean
The noise of the street was really disturbing when you stay in the room
Nice view, big bedroom and bathroom, beautiful view. Very good location.
It was impossible to use internet in the hotel, too expensive 6 euros per hour!! But even worst, the connection never worked. Extremely hot room.
Its near the city, and can you can walk , you don't need the metro
The noises from outside, you can hear everything.
Dirty and bad smell. You get what you get for the price in that location.
You must pay WIFI as a big hotel, but hotel was dirty and the room was dirty without air and air conditioning. All Hotel it's very dirty and old.
Good location, good breakfast, nice room but too hot absolutely needs air conditioniting.
Not too kind people at the reception and at the restaurant,I think should be kinder.I was at the hotel in August ,too hot the room almost impossible sleeping also because with the window open noises from the street are too loud. We are in 2014,hotel needs WI-FI
The location is great, the rooms are big and confortable. We were all very pleased.
A bit old fashioned, but that does not diminish the excellences of the place.
The noise, no AC, terrible bed. But it was very cheap and you get what you pay for. I will pay more next time.!!!!!!
Good value for money. Perfect location, friendly staff, big rooms.
Excellent location just a short walk away from Puerta del Sol. Room basic but clean. Bathroom also clean. Bottle of soap lotion provided. Fan included but no aircon.
No free Wifi and they wanted 6Euros per hour. No thanks. Bathroom primitive and the shower kept falling down when I was showering. There were only 2 power sockets and they were very far from the bed so it meant charging essentials like iPad and phone difficult to do. The hotel disguises its age by naming the style as 'classic' (or something similar) but the truth is it's an old building and the insides are also old-fashioned and needing an update. Obviously, you pay for the location here as it's excellently located next to Sol. BUT, for the price I did pay, free wi-fi or at-least breakfast would have been welcome. Staff were Ok, not overly friendly. They spoke English. Had little patience though.
the state of the building and the room. all looked like in the '80s caribean.
