The Santa Barbara is a hidden gem! The owner is a former merchant marine captain who designed the hotel to look like an old steamship. Great architecture, original ship fittings, you feel like you are aboard a passenger ship rather than lodging at a hotel. The hotel location is only a block and a half from the town square. Great restaurants are close by including the superb Restaurante - Escuela Semilla de Mostaza, Castilleja de la Cuesta. Hotel staff (Tiziana, Elena, Augustine, and Judit are friendly and bi-lingual. The hotel manager (Senor Salvador Ruiz) is a true Spanish gentleman. The hotel is great for a relaxing, quiet weekend or a long-term stay in a beautiful, old neighborhood about 20 minutes from Seville city center. Don't miss visiting the famous Yolanda's Flamenco shop just two blocks from the hotel.

Good location, free parking (only if you are brave and your car does not have a low sill at the front - VERY steep ramp to garage), lovely atrium area to relax in, and a nice café/bar.

Floor in en-suite was filthy around the edges. Really needs a good, chemical clean! Probably just isolated to the time I was there, but there were several power-cuts per day/night as the hotel was running on a generator. Annoying, but probably just bad luck for me.

Parking is really terrible, very steep. Don't enter the parking.. Better try to find one on the street. We came with two cars, one small and another a minivan. No problem going in, but coming out is another story. We managed to get our small car out of the parking with a hotel staff's coaching. But for the minivan, we needed to unload all the luggage and tried many times to get out. Quite an excitement. Afraid the cars would move back down and hit the wall.

The design of the hotel and its location, near buses to Saville centre

Very difficult to find, Sat Nav takes you to the wrong location! Cleanliness - a liittle mold in bathroom and crumbs on floor in the bar.

Very convenient for an overnight stay. Short taxi ride into Seville.staff very friendly. Breakfast basic but adequate. Would stay there again.

There was a problem with the water boiler therefore had to manage with cold water.

We adored the hotel for it´s welcoming staff, originality of the deco, relaxing and comfotarble common areas and efficient rooms. The hotel is situated in a charming but quiet area with excellent bus connections to Seville. For us it was perfect!
