눉As none smokers, we loathed the idea of having to run the gauntlet when on our way to the restaurant to eat and it also deterring us from eating outside by the pool. The food was average fare for a three star but the way it was laid out meant trying hard to avoid colliding with each other when travelling from one side of the restaurant to the other with your cup of tea to acquire some milk, and then off at another tangent to obtain a teaspoon, alongside the dessert spoons and dinner plates, and sometimes a cup and saucer if required.
We were given a free upgrade to a suite as we were convinced we had booked an apartment with a bath and not just a shower, which is always our personal preference, and was described as having a 'Full Bathroom'. The two bedroomed suite, one of two, was very spacious but had no air conditioning. The front patio is laid sloping towards the entrance door, there is no drain so when it rained it flowed under the door and flooded the kitchen. The kitchen was fitted with fridge/freezer, an oven with hob but no cooking utensils or plates, just cups and saucers, which we found odd if meant as a self-catering option. We were also told that air conditioning would be installed while we had a day on the island of Fuerteventura but never transpired, but were provided with two noisy, portable fans instead, not my idea of an ideal apartment.
눇Nicely designed, low lying, compact apartments set amongst attractive gardens and three good sized pools. While we were there, there was a different professional musician nearly every evening, for an hour or so before bedtime, although three Saxophonists, three evenings in a row, seemed a bit competitive as well as repetitive, but then we could always go for a quiet, romantic stroll along the desolate promenade as an option.
