Very good position close to ferry terminal which is why we booked it, having just travelled up from the Algarve it was somewhere nice to chill for a couple of days before catching ferry back to England. We had a really great room on the 3rd floor overlooking the port entrance,there was no traffic noise. Good meals in Cafeteria, we did not try Restaurant, very helpfull and friendly staff and good measures at the bar.

Good sized rooms and beds. Toilets and facilites good. Situation close to ferry port and city centre perfect Meal prices too expensive compared to other resurants in the city, especally breakfast. Directions to their car park is difficult to find . no sign posts

Very, very friendly and helpful staff. They all do a wonderful job. Bought the economy room, yet it was very nicely furnished and still felt upscale. Location is fabulous. Thought we were getting a double bed, but it just ended up being two individual beds pushed closely together. Would have appreciated an ice maker accessible from one of the hotel floors. No major gripes though, and had a fabulous time!

Staff and decor/facilities Difficult to get to on Santander one-way system, although easy to find. Evening meal (set 24euro menu) was very poor compared to the rest of the hotel....ie most of the food looked and tasted like it was frozen food microwaved.

Situated right opposite the ferry terminal was superb location for our early morning boarding and easy walking distance to the shops and lovely old buildings. The staff were very helpful, showed us to the room and made sure I could use my computer on their wifi. The dining staff were also most accommodating. All in all a really enjoyable stay.

The Hotel was very good quality and the staff were polite and helpful. Our room was excellent with a small lounge area and walk in wardrobe. The Hotel is next to the ferry port so very convenient for anyone catching the ferry as we were. We thought the parking charge and the cost of breakfasts were expensive. The room was very hot, especially the bathroom and there seemed no way to be able to cool it down.

It is located opposite the entrance to the ferry port, also has a secure underground garage,and is two minutes walk from the shopping area. So for us it was location, location, location. But it is also an excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff and a superb breakfast to start the day! And as an added bonus there is a garage opposite for those transiting to or from the uk to fill up with cheaper fuel.

The great thing about the Bahia is its fantastic location within the centre of Santander and its proximity to the Brittany ferryport. City centre shops, restaurants and bars very close by. We had a fantastic sea view room (worth paying the extra for) which was clean and large. The "Menu of the Day" in the hotel restaurant is excellent quality and value for money. Secure underground parking is another bonus - access from the rear of the hotel and via a "car lift". Many good hotels in Santander but the Bahia never disappoints, with friendly helpful staff and wi-fi in all rooms. Looking forward to next visit in 2012.

Staff were really helpful stayed one night out of an 8 day tour and was beyond doubt the best hotel we stayed in We arrived on a motorbike and they even gave us complimentary parking and were very flexible with us letting us park there until the ferry arrived would definatley recommend

The hotel was centrally located for sightseeing and shopping.It was very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient at breakfast and in the cafetaria. There was a good range of food to choose from at breakfast. No serious complaints but coming from more Northern climates we would have preferred the bedroom a little cooler at night-time.

Very comfortable large seaview room. Retsuant food excellent. Website did not specify that this was a non smoking hotel. I was asked when booking whether I wanted a smoking room and I said yes. On arrival I was told that the whole hotel was now non smoking. I was however given an ashtray.

“We take the ferry to Santander each year when we visit Spain. Chiqui is ideal for our first and last nights. We have always enjoyed our stays there. The restaurant serves high quality food and the buffet breakfasts are great. The cafeteria is also good value for money. The staff have always been friendly and helpfult to us at all times.
