The location and surrounding were lovely. The pool was great but we were actually discouraged from swimming! Most people just stood in the water jets and gave disapproving looks to anyone wanting to swim gently up and down. Not everyone who goes to this hotel wants an inactive experience! The staff on reception were very helpful and co-operative, especially Jose.
Mealtimes were chaotic and noisy with large trollies being trundled around the restaurant constantly. Not a relaxing eating experience. Breakfast was poor and often sparse with very little fresh fruit. The milk was stored in jugs which smelled sour. The air condition in our room wasn't working and the towel rail in the bathroom was hanging off the wall - both of these were fixed by the maintenance man after a call to reception. We couldn't turn off the radiator in the bathroom, which became quite hot at certain times of the day. This made us uncomfortably hot and the air conditioning in the bedroom area was constantly fighting with the temperature.
The very friendly and helpful staff in a beautiful surrounding.
