Hotel Barbara  

a lot of prostitutes by the hotel, very dangerous location, always noisy and dirty. Never stay anymore in Barbara

We are glad with our accomodation in hotel.The location is very well - 200 meteres to Ramblas, many take-way, restauratns, bars and shops very close. Interesting neiberghood (for people who likes arabian, muslim, african and catalonian atmosphere -mix culture - for us very well). And one thing very unpopular - all the day is many prostitute near hotel - but it is not inconvenient.

The hotel had one very badly thing - few rooms have to very small window with view for very little place 2x2 meters with air-conidions which very noisy on the night.

Too noisy at night, there is a problem with air... Window is only oriented to small closed space without fresh air and sunlight ..

I was looking for a hotel just for the night as we were heading home early in the morning so Hotel Barbara fitted our requirements with price and location. However even though it was very cheap [room for 3 people at £65] it was more like a hostel than a hotel. When we returned to the hotel after watching Chelsea play Barcelona we were comfronted by a few prostitutes outside the hotel ?. It was a shame but we were all very tired after all the excitement so we declined there kind offer. Good location though for La'Rambles.

i wish if there is wi fi in the room not in the hall so i can use the net any time i want i like the staff too much they helped us alot in knowing the nice places in barcelona i like to come again to same hotel and i will recommand it to my friends it had good location and price

Good location and friendly staff.

The area could be very noisy in the night (with people chatting and drinking in front of the hotel), which is quite disturbing sometime.

There are lots of prostitute around the hotel and disturbing by making noise...

Its a simple place - clean and ok size rooms, very close to La Rambla (about 500m) and generally in the centre.

Definitely not for couples or families - given the amount of women selling pleasure around the hotel any given time of day. Generally we felt safe and they were not pushy or anything, but you see them. Also, if you rent a car at airport, its hard to park there unless you pay around 25 euro for a whole day parking (near hotel).

the staff is super nice.especially the one on the night shift.she tells us where to go in barcelona and the place was so fascinating that we won't think of going if she does not say so.the price is so reasonable which is 11euro per person per night for twin room.for muslim,this hotel is a few door away from a halal pakistan restaurant.so you won't be starving.and it is 5 minute walking to la rambla.

the service is quite slow because they only have one staff working at times.it is near a street where prostitute hang-out to find customers but they did not bother us.the floor does not have carpets at all so it's quite cold since it was winter that time.there is no tv and wifi provided.so it's quite boring but worth if the price is 11euros

So,the main reason was the location of this hotel. It was difficul to find it and it took about 20 searching minutes, but when i found it i was a surprised, because i expected less. The location is great, about 3 minutes walking to the center of Rambla st. It took about 10 minutes to walk to city port. It s VERY good and clean hotel if u want just to stay for a few days. The main that problem was for me - is an outside noise, because my windows were on the street. So, for this price - it is one of the best choices!

Rooms are small. Any way just for sleep as, it situated in the centre, however alone girls looking for cheap hotel, I do not recommend as I found lots of girls standing their. So please be careful. Any way its safe if you are good.
