Good position, close to center
Ok, so where do I start... First of all, the room wasn´t at the adresse where it was supposed to be. After we checked in (I had to pay 2 euroes for towels, wierd but nevermind), we had to walk for 400 m to get there. And then the real shock came! We paid for a 40m2 apartement with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with dishwasher and a small hall with dining table. What we saw when we arrived was not more than 15m2, instead of kitchen there was kind of a wardrobe with a sink and fridge inside but worst of all... It was all incredibly neglected, old and dirty. The room hadn´t been painted in years, the floor was all dusty (the annouce on the door said that cleaning was not included in the price of the room and if we leave it dirty, they will take 30 euros from our account) and all the furniture was old cracked and dirty. The room had absolutely nothing to do with the nice puctures we saw on the internet. And then another shock- the cockroaches!!! I couldn´t even sleep, it was so disgusting! But, ladies and gentleman, the worse is still to come! When we got home, after two weeks we both started scratching ourselves as mad and when we got to the doctors, guess what he diagnosed us with- scabies!!! Worst holiday ever!
Small bedroom, lack of breakfast, high price according to services.
Near the beach and the Metro~~~ Only location is good~
There's no sound-proofing in the whole building & rooms in the hostel. It is so noise from the street/ bars/ the guests. And it seems they have 24 hours check in & out time, u can hear people moving their luggages up and down stair and they alway talk so loud, just can't sleep at night!!
The next day, the staff was able to change our apartment to a different one that was very clean and nice. The beds in both apartments were firm and clean.
We arrived at midnight and it was difficult to locate and get into the building and even then it was difficult to locate the "office"....Our original apartment was not clean and the toilet did not work well..
Great Location in the heart of Gothic Quarter. Old building with a lot of character. Simple and clean rooms..very basic Friendly staff
Price is a bit steep for the kind of room and facilities we get.
Location cost was fair
No sign at front of property, which made exact location difficult.
The owner is the rudest person I have ever met! Shouted at nearly everyone he spoke to and no inclination to be helpfully/polite in any way! The apartments are not in the main building (with the grand looking entrance hall) you are a 7-8 minute walk away in a dirty street where the front door to the building doesn't lock and has a huge leak so the stairs are always damp and slippery. The rooms were dirty, smelly, damp patches, string for door handles, string holding the shower in place, dirty sticky grimy floors! No kettle as advertised. The beds were really uncomfortable and we were given no towels until we had to specifically ask. Have never heard as much noise from the street below, even with earplugs you were woken up by the bins or shouting people. Rooms were like saunas at night and 1 of us got bitten to pieces by bugs in the room. On check out they charge 5euro per bag if you want to use left luggage and even then it's just dumped in a unlocked side room. The location is central but I'd recommend anyone to stay away from this place at all costs.
the kitchen stove was broken during our stay, called stuff several times, nobody came and fix it for us...the kitchen lamp was also broken...toilet has no door locker..ground floor with no view, smell awful in the room, there is a live jazz bar just outside, you won't sleep well until 2-3 am.. and the last, our neighbor got broke in by the thief, they have lost their Samsung Galax 5!!! This hotel should be called Barcelona NO fun!!! Worst stay ever in Barcelona!!!
I love that is close to the Gothic district and to the sea.
Great value for money, great location.
Quality of sleep poor due to noise in streets at night until 3.30am.
I didn't like anything but I hate Barcelona city because of this apartments
rooms are unbelievably small! dont trust pictures in the internet!!!
the location was okay and the staff very helpful. air cond great.
it was advertised as a deluxe room but it was only an average hostel room. the shared facilities included the toilet which didn.t flush for the first 24 hours. The keys to the front door and into the 2nd floor were difficult to use.
Everything's is bad .. Especially the man who staying at the check in .. I would never raccomend this place. Awfull experience. EVITATE QUESTO POSTO.
Location, size of apartment , price
Mannerism of receptionist, hot water in the shower not working, none of the table lamps worked
Good location near the famous walking street and beach. Clean and comfortable.
It's quiet at the day, when the sun falls, the narrow road becomes very noisy, you can even hear the music played on the beach and pubs downstairs. But if the room don't have windows to the road, not noisy at all.
A cracked window in a door that eventually broke into pieces on the floor, room not at all like the pictures, shutters and doors could not close so we could not sleep because of loud noises all night until 4am, hard to get hold of staff at main building, rusty bath, broken hob, no kettle, no AC so very uncomfortable in 30 degrees
No Air Conditioning and no natural airflow. Needs better reception facility.
The location was great. Easy to acces from everywhere
the whole apartment was a joke.
Location cleanliness stuff
Everything was so as was discribed and nothing bad
Location was good and central
There was no sign downstairs saying you needed to go to the 2nd floor to check in and there was no signage on the street to even realise we were in the right place. Luckily a staff member was coming downstairs when we arrived to let us know. Our room was located right next to the street and was very noisy because our balcomy door didn´t shut properly. There was also an additional 0.75c per day per person city tax that we had to pay which wasn´t mentioned prior to arrival.
nothing really, good location
bathroom was disgusting (cigarette butts and hair in the bathtub) + we heard (and smelled) every noise (pee, poo, vomit) from the toilet. every night unconscious drunk ppl made lots of noise around 3am and at least one person vomited every day.
The hallway and the staff. So perfect for that quick stopover during Sonar festival!
No air con but everything else was great.
