Old Town Apartments  

Great location .Clean apartment .Friendly helpfull staff at the end of the phone.Did have difficulty opening the main door to building found this a bit disorentating but the helpfulll lady at the end of the phone talked us through how to open the door

The apartment had a very good location, near Passeig de Gracia. The apartment was in good condition with plenty of room to unpack our stuff and with a nice living room.

There was a minor malfunction with the freezer but nothing too serious.

Central living in Barcelona. The apartment was well planned.

The water effluent in the shower was blocked.

The wifi was not good at all and it charged 1 euro per day

Beautiful aparment, fantastic location, superb amenities. Bit of a confusing (stressful) self check in process, sluggish email response about direct address for apartment, couldnt get in to building or apartment. The TV also didn't work but who goes to a beautiful city like Barcelona to watch the TV?! Nevertheless, whoever helped us on the telephone was very helpful, just not looking forward to the phone bill! Thank you very much for a pleasant stay! Andy + Becca

Location, kindness, comfort of home, internet solution

They could have stated more clearly that the apartments are not at the stated office address. It creates doubts at first.

center of the city.

strange smell, awful bed. Water in the shower ran 2 min hot, then cold, so it was almost impossible to take a shower. The windows don't keep the noise and since traffic is really strong, sleeping was not so pleasant.

Locate at city centre, free parking on street easily found from 8 pm to 8 am

Staff is not always available, when check in have to wait for 15 minute and when check out need to ensure that nothing left in the apartment. No room cleaning during the stay (may be they compensate it with cheaper price each following day).

I did not like the absence of hot water - it was really depressive). Very thin walls - we heard everything happened in the 5-stored hotel

Good facilities in apartment - washing machine, cooker, fridge etc. secure entry system made us feel secure.

Curtain pole in lounge was damaged and leaning against a wall. Noise from above apartment. No ventilation in bathroom- smell from sewers always there. Sofa bed in lounge held together with cable ties and impossible to return to use as a sofa. lift had electrical parts exposed!

The location of our apartment was perfect. Right on la rambla catalunya, just next to very good tapas restaurants, on the street behind the casa batllo.

The room was very dirty, the walls were dirty and it does not look like at all as on the pictures. Those photos should have been 4-5 year old. The sofa-bed in the living room was broken and everything was very used and old.

Excellent Location and spacious accomodation. Air conditioning was lovely too. Downside was no english channels on the tv although there is a dvd player if you want to bring your own dvds. Plenty of extra bedding. They provide you with basic essentials for the apartment such as bin bags, washing up liquid, hand soap and towels and a hairdryer. Which is really useful when your only staying for a long weekend. It's a bit of a pain to go to the office to collect keys, then find the apartment, but they were really helpful.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable. We only had 1 wine glass which we were disappointed they hadn't replaced them after other guests had broken them. Also only small glasses, not suitable for alcoholic drinks as you can't mix well. Tv had no english channels although you can bring your own dvds as there is a dvd player. Wifi was really really slow as it is operated by mobile phone company Orange (so it's no faster than 3g network) - but as it's only 4euro per day it was better than nothing as other hotels charge 12euro per day! Lift going up to the apartment on 5th floor was a bit dodgey, but it is the same for every building in Barcelona as the buildings are so old.
