Location is great.
No WIFI.Room small.Oven and cooker in kitchen doesn't work
- good localization
- at the entrance there is no one sign that that this is a place. And we used google maps with gps and internet roaming to locate it. - it is not clearly indicated that you have to tell them first to come aand give you a door as there is. I reception - internet is super slow or rather almost non existent - if they charge you on Amex then they would realize that it would not be processed and they would ask you to pay in cash to cleaning lady... - very informal - bathroom, super dirty.
Great location quite clean staff's there to give you keys only - if there's 3 of you book a room for 2...
Had to call them and then wait half an hour for the lady to come give me keys Dodgy view from the window dark rooms
Location (Elhelyezkedés) Price (Ár) House Keeper (Házvezetőnő) Balcony (Erkély) Bathroom (Fürdőszoba) Kitchen (Konyha)
Wifi (We can say, it didn't work at all.) Wifi (Úgy is fogalmazhatnánk, szinte nem is volt.) Key (It works very hard.) Kulcs (Nagyon nehezen működik) Staff was late (A személyzet nem tartotta a pontos időt.)
After arrival to the destination I called the Owner and he informed me that we have to move to some other hostel in the nearby. That is why the opinion will concern the other hostel. The good thing is that the Owner offered to cover the difference between the price we were suppose to pay and the price of the second hostel. The location was great (right next to La Rambla) and the stuff was helpful, although they did not speak English. In the room at least WiFi worked and it had a sink and quite comfortable bed, towels.
The fact that we had to change location with our bags. The quality of the hostel we were sent to was lower than expected - dirty sheets, cold, room looked like a prison cell :) But at least we were not left with nothing. (This description does not concern Best Rooms Hostel but some other one that we were sent to)
the location of the apartment the balcony is very spacious a nearby shop that works till late paid car parking located just next door good access to public transport / Juame I tube station
planty of ants everywhere in the apartment one of the bedroom's door was broken and we couldn't close it at all most of the dishes in the kitchen were greasy bad smell in the apartment
PERFECT LOCATION, enough place for spending a night, low price, kitchen, hair-drier, iron, micro-ov, fridge, a balcony in each room. If you don't expect too much of this place, it's absolutely perfect. The next time I am in BCN, I will not be against staying here again
There're enough cups and glasses in the kitchen, but you should be aware that all of them are usually in rooms, as well as plates, spoons and folks. Better take your own with you. There's no kettle, but there's pans and pots and it solves the problem of boiling water if you have matches or lighter with you. There's a problem with hot water in the shower, sometimes it's completely cold, be prepared for the fresh shower in the morning. There's only 2 WC on the floor (and about 7 rooms), but it's not a problem for you if you're used to get up early ;) All of that is ok, taking into consideration that it's a hostel, and a cheap one
Extremely bad wifi, very small room, bad staff, bad smell in the room and even worse outside the window, dirty and poor beds... Never been in such a bad hostel.
The location is perfect, Rambla and the beach is very near. One can purchase groceries just around the corner, which is convenient. The appartment is big enough, and private terrace is good. The beds are really comfortable.
The light was not functional in all rooms, and the general look of the appartment was not very cosy. The appartment really needs a redecoration. But hey, for the 2 nights in Barcelona it's not a big problem. We were not able to open the washing mashine, so I consider it to be broken.
- location, 4 mins to La Rambla - although in the centre of Barric Gothic, it was really quiet to sleep
- the staff does not speak English which impacts my opinion about the place in a negative way. - it was said in confirmation, that venue accepts credit cards- while I was asked to go for cash
Comfy beds nice chairs on patio
Staff cleanliness bathroom
The location was excellent Due to confusion with our arrival time we were only charged for 2 nights (which is all we stayed) when we booked 3.
Was an unstaffed apartment. you had to call to be let in - we had to be told this by the neighbor. The Wifi did not work. The fan did not work. The toilet flush was broken. The shower did not work one of the nights. The other showers drain was blocked. There was no roof top balcony as listed in the advert and suggested in the photos.
A small kitchen but great bit of space to meet and chat to other guests. Double rooms are quite comfortable and very clean.
The single rooms are very tiny and have bunk beds and have little ventilation so are very hot. Would not recommend.
bed bugs inexistant cleaning no english spoken by Elisabetha owner lies neighbours come to inform they have called the police against this apartment owner and scare you
no wifi signal
I liked the fact the bathroom and kitchen was very clean. The cleaning lady was really friendly also.
It was advertised as a normal bed. I got there and was given a room with a bunk bed. This was fine, as long as I could sleep in the bottom bunk. This was completely broken underneath and slumped when you sat on it. The owner did nothing until two days later which by then I had decided to leave. I was refunded for the days I had left and had to return the next day to get the money. Communication wasn't great but we got there in the end.
Decent location, fairly clean.
No air con, stuck in room at back looking out onto three walls at bottom of five storeys so no outside air coming in. Plug in fan in room didn't work, making it nearly imposible to sleep in those temperatures. Also didn't accept card payment, despite saying they accepted Mastercard/Visa when I got confirmation of booking.
big plus for location
the room was disgusting, I have never seen such moldy walls, the bed and shower cabin were broken. I did not expect much for this price however this what I saw after arrival is below of any standards.
Location is very good in the Old City
Noicy. The neighbouring rooms and office were "inside" my room. Everything could be heard. Towel and linen did not look clean
The worst thing is absence of reception. We’ve called Frank in an hour before coming and a girl named Elizabeth was waiting for us, but it was just our luck: all 7 days of our rest the tourist were waiting FOR HOURS for check in. Elizabeth doesn’t speak English and it was impossible to ask the simplest questions. She took all the money for 7 days and taxes, but DIDN’t give any check or other document (and didn’t checked our passports) – I guess it’s illegal and we were feeling unsafe. Also she didn’t have money to give the rest and we had to meet her again in uncomfortable time to pay off. The second worst thing is that rooms are very noisy and it’s hard to sleep – when neighbours open/lock the door it sounds like a shot, also we’ve heard the voices of the neighbours in the nearest rooms. The third worst thing is that bed linen seemed to be not fresh and had suspicious smell. There are no signs of TV and WIFI doesn’t work. Frank answers on emails approximately once a month – so if you need an answer it’s better to call him If you appreciate comfortable and calm conditions don’t rent these rooms I agree that location is good (you can walk to all the most famous places of interest except only for Park Guele by foot in less than an hour), but as for me it’s better to rent a normal 3* apartment for approximately the same price near some metro station and to travel to the centre/beach by metro. It will take maximum an hour (30 minutes in 2 sides) and 2 EUR/person (T10 ticket) a day, but you’ll have access to much less expensive shops and cafes, as the prices in city centre are MUCH higher than in nearby districts
Quite nice location
No reception, the woman didn't speak English, awful cleaning -the bathrooms are terrible-, narrow room
We wanted to spend two nigths at this hostel, but finally they couldn’t ensure us the booked room. It was really unpleasant when we arrived at the given address and we didn’t find somebody there, furthermore we tried to reach the owner on phone several times, but nobody answered. Luckily a kind man – a hairdresser who works in the same house – could help, he spoke with a competent person who gave us a name of an other hostel. Finally we stayed in that hostel because we didn’t want to spend our time with searching a same place, but it was much worse and wasn’t cheaper, besides it didn’t have a kitchen…. I read before lots of bad opinions about the Barcelona Best Rooms, but I didn’t believe that such a situation can happen with us… so I don’t recommend you this place.
Location was changed few days within arrival 20 Min longer from la rambla, Did not get the Didn't have water The first 5 days (of 17 nights), no lights for 2 days, beds was sleeping sofas, no kitchen,
