Hotel Barcelona Catedral  

The free internet access, the breakfast and the amazing location. That would be it.

The room was too clinical. The wallpaper was peeling, the bed was rock solid. Not a lot of wardrobe space. On check out we left our room at 5 past 12 but on our way to the lift we met a member of the reception staff who had been sent up to ask us to leave as it had gone past 12. A very impersonal hotel. You had to pay €1.50 to use the tea bags in the room. Very surprised at how much we disliked this hotel as the reviews were good.

Excellent location, close to the old city and interesting sites as well as shopping. There are numerous restaurants near the hotel ofr geat meals. The rooftop pool is a great way to realx after exploring the sites. Rooms are decent and plenty of room to store your clothing. The bathroom is spacious enough also.

Young staff is trying to be helpful but they are not fully qualified (professional). For example, one of the front desk staff didnt know about the free walking tour that is offered by the hotel. Another one didnt know if there was a scale available to weigh our luggage. Then he inquired and told us no problem, just let them know the next norning before we leave so they will make it available to us. In the morning, the front desk clerk told us the scale is in the basement and is too heavy so we have to wait until someone strong comes to work. We waited until 9 and then we were told the scale was broken.

Breakfast is quite expensive if you only have the fruit, coffee & bread rolls (although everything else is included, we didn't want the full monty every day)

Great location just off busy square. Small hotel, easy to find way around. Nice big beds and good-sized bathroom, enjoyed a couple of baths!

Breakfast tray put on each table with croissants, hot milk etc is very wasteful, better that these items are put on the buffet table and let people choose. Tv had no channel for kids in English. Wi fi connection wasn't always reliable in the room. Expensive rate overall.

We stayed at Hotel Barcelona Catedral for 5 nights and it was exactly what we were looking for; a central spot to stay as we explored the City. Its location cant be beaten with the Catadral right outside the doors, as well as only a 5 minute walk to both La Ramblas and the town centre. The staff where incredibly helpful and friendly and we couldnt fault at all. The only downside was perhaps the rooms themselves. Dont get me wrong, they were nice, clean and well presented, but perhaps could do with a few upgrades such as a new tv as ours didnt have very good reception and was quite small. This however is a minor complaint, and didnt impact our stay at all. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much

A perfect location for a visit to old Barcelona (El Gotic). Out the door and a few steps to the left and you are at the catedral, museums, and chic shopping. The hotel is stylishly modern. The staff is professional.

Lavatories do not have place to put soap so one ends up leaving it in the sink.

The location of the hotel was perfect, near the Barcelona Catedral. The food and the service in the resturant was very good. They served lovely glutenfree bread to us without any delay. The staff was friendly and we felt very comfortable during the stay.
