hugh... the guy at the reception was nice ?
Not enough space. The room was so small, with 8 beds and no window could be opened to refresh the air, that was absolutely awful. As there were no sheets, they sprayed some kind of products on the beds that was really hurting the troath (remember, with no window that could be opened !). The beds were not good, the light was absolutely awful. And for the first time I felt scared the whole time I was there that somebody would rape me during my sleep.
Location was close to La Ramblas, comfy bed and pillows, spacious bathroom, super market close by
Noisey and slightly scary street, no kettle or chopping board in kitchen, had to use own towels, no soap or dish washing liquid provided, hot water ran out very quickly
Good location, nice people, great city! :) If I come to Barcelona, for sure I will stay againg in that place.
Location of the apartment suites are great, very close to the main street La Ramblas. Bed was comfortable. Room was not clean but not very dirty either.
But the internet connectiom was very poor. And no soap was given. Breakfast is very poor, too.
location near La Ramblas, very friendly staff,spacious-clean room (my room was with private bathroom)
reception and breakfast in different location from the room.they charged 7% on the price of the room if you paid with card.
Liceu metro 150-200m away from apartment we stayed. Very close to La Ramblas and Gothic Quarter.
Little bit noisy but that's what you pay for. No lift, again not complaining as price was great. The feeling that you were moments away from being pickpocketed walking to and fro apartment especially in the evening!
The location, the staff at the front desk (very cool), the fact that you can have your own apartment in a central area of the city for a great price. The shower was big and nice. Its a good deal for the price. Definitely a good place to be if you are a night person and want to experience Las Ramblas and then return to crash until the next day.
It was noisy at night due to the location of the apartment over a very busy street. Definitely bring ear plugs if you are sensitive. In terms of cleanliness- the facilities are a bit worn and approaching the point where they need replacing. The design of the apartment is also a bit awkward for example there are no lights above or beside the bed in case you want to read at night- you have to stand up to turn on the overhead lights. Not a huge deal, but a small thing that nags on you after a few days. Also the couch could be removed to give more space to the apartment.
Value for money, private room with bathroom, location, free walking tour.
Private room separate (a few blocks) from hostel so didn't get the hostel feel. Location in dodgy part of town so don't recommend to girls but be aware.
good location, close to the rambla and the metro. lauggege saving which was really helpful. the appatrment was clean and nice.
the appartments are not very close to reception. at weekends the appartments who turns to the street are noisy, a thing that was awfully annoing, especially that the reception didn't mention it. the price didn't justify what we got.
Friendly and helpful staff, cleaness, best quality vs price
Only thing which we didn´t like was cold air conditioning in the room.
Private large lockers Informative staff
Small size of dorms and place
Comfortable beds, clean linen, good breakfast.
No enforced quiet time. Had to like be mar hostels on Facebook for WiFi to work in rooms.
Staff are very knowledgeable, joyful and helpful. I like the courtyard to hang dry clothes to save energy and $$$..
Location very closed to the Ramblas. I saw many prostitutes and 2 fights on the way from Be Mar to La Ramblas. I was a would be victim of a robbery in the elevator at the Metro station on the Ramblas, by Be Mar. I was quick enough to push the elevator OPEN button to get out of the elevator and run down the stair to report the would be robbery with the Metro Station security officers. They told me that it happens many times every day. I wish to have more recycle bins at Be Mar becaus eI had to bring the empty bottles, cans, paper to the recycle bins on the street everyday.
The staff is very helpful
I saw that when changing the beds for new stayers that the bed sheet was changed but not the comforter. This is very unclean and disgusting! Also a quick sweep of the room floors during the stay wouldn't hurt.
Great location. The private rooms are really close to Ramblas. Everything you might need is nearby: supermarket, restaurants, metro station, bus stop taking you to the beach. The bathroom is clean. You have everything you need to cook in the kitchen if you want to. I think it is the best value for money you can get in this location with a private bathroom (trust me, I did a lot of research, for that price it's as good as it gets).
The wifi in the rooms could have better reception. It was only working in some parts of the room. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable. The room wasn't too quiet, but it wasn't too loud either.
good service espicaily the boy staff. public kicthen is perfect and bed is comfortable. and wifi is good^^ location is near by a metro station.
tooke a bad shower which just has cold water T T a little bit far away from the sol center.
Nice centrical place, fair wifi not a big thing, free kitchen.
Small room and some showers do not work.
The hostel staff was very nice and gave a lot of insider tips to visit and where to have dinner! It was great, the receptionists made our stay special!
Nice hostel for backpackers. We got the private twin room with bathroom 'B1' -Great location, in a lively bohemian street very close to la Rambla. -Very friendly, young and trendy staff. -Great atmosphere in Reception/Breakfast Area. -Comfortable, clean and simple room, with A/C. -Good WiFi reception.
-The room is in another building, 100m from the reception. -The room is dark, with a window looking on a shaft. -No shampoo or soap in room.
Near to the ramblas
Wifi doesn´t work
some of the staff were helpful and friendly
it was not very clean
Good location,on La Rambla street, profesional person on a reception, great to have a kitchen in the apartamen, everytime hot water
We were a couple in the apartman and its not so greate for the money.you pay,for the location, there is a bad smel from outside because a lot of fastfoods restorant, not extra clean, aircondition didnt work,to much loud from the street 24@7,
The apartments are down the street from the reception (several minutes walk), nearer to La Rambla, which is a positive aspect
The street of the hostel (Carrer San Pau) is full of awkward people, including prostitutes, beggers, many drunk people, noisy during the night. An unpleasant surprise for a central area. Don’t count on the breakfast, as it consists of only 3 types of cereals, jam, Nutella and coffee.
The staff was extremely helpful, and very forthcomimg. The room was clean and tidy.
the room we booked with peivate bathroom wasn't available, so we had to take one with a shared bathroom. The view from the window was less than stellar, we could only see a roofed backyard.
