Lightness is not enough in room Watet temperature is unstable sometimes
-elena/lena, the staff who met me for my check-in early morning on a sunday was very pleasant and helpful -privacy -clean bathrooms -near Urgell metro -convenient stop of Airport bus -several cafes in the vicinity
-hot water sometimes not consistent which can be annoying while taking a shower
Need firm pillows Cannot check in after 9pm
Location to Airport Bus
Everything. One morning the toilet was clogged and water running down hall into the rooms...The light in the shower was burnt out had to shower in the dork or w the door open. Told staff 4 days later never fixed. Human poop smeared on the stall wall. GROSS
Location Acess to nearby subway
Couch pillows instead of bed pillows Showers suck balls
Good location, just next to the subway station and a cheap supermarket. Good price.
It is always hard to connect the WIFI...
Barcelona Rooms is located nearby underground station in central point of Barcelona which was very helpful for us. Rooms were clean, kitchen was well equipped, for me great place for small amount of money
The location is absolutely great, close to the metro and at a 10 minutes distance from Plaza Calatunya and Plaza DÉspagna. It's very clean, they change the sheets and towels every 2 days. A lot of restaurants and supermarkets in the area.
Be careful when making the reservation because they are very strict with the check-in hour. If you arrive 1 minute after 9pm the reception is closed and you lose your reservation. Try to ask before making the reservation what type of rooms are available. There are rooms that have the window in the interior of the building: this means no fresh air and no natural light. The walls are very thin and due to the location there is a lot of noise. Make sure you have your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Location is pretty good, right by a metro and Aerobus station, and a short walk from the old quarter. If our stay had been problem-free, I would've considered the offering to be of a decent value for the cost.
Walls are thin and provide zero sound isolation. So you are being heard in the other rooms, and you get plenty of noise from the other rooms, in addition to the noise from the street. Reception hours are 9AM to 9PM, and from 9PM to 9AM you're on your own. There is no one to talk to, nobody will answer the phone, so in case of a problem, it'll have to wait to the morning. If you lose your wallet with the key card, you'll be staying out in the street for the night. We had problems with the hot water in the shower (water turns cold shortly after starting to shower), and despite multiple complaints, the staff was unable to fix it throughout our stay. On our 3rd night we gave up on the staff and worked around the problem ourselves by opening the faucet in the sink on the hottest water while we were showering, which allowed us to shower peacefully, with a stable water temperature.
location - very close to Metro and close to Airport bus stop. choice of cafes for breakfast in particular
Absence of lift; inadequacy of reception hours; lack of in-room tea & coffee making facilities; lack of access to cold drinks, either by a vending machine or an in-room refrigerator
Very helpful owner. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Wonderful WiFi signal. Great localization - metro on same Street, 50 meters from entrance to hostel. Ability to print boarding pass do loundry etc. on place. Supermarket "Dia" like 30 meters from hostel.
location just couldn't be any better. Walking distance from La Rambla, just of Urgell metro station. I like the fact that hostel is situated on top floor with good views. Not too many rooms within the hostel, you can still fell privacy
My room had window situated on some kind of hall/staircase. Good foe quitness, I should sleep very well but I rather a balcony. however you may get lucky, only small thing
Nearby the subway station. Clean towels and bed linens every two days. Not a very fancy area but a lot of inexpensive restaurants and tavers nearby.
The bed was realy poor, very narrow. Cleaning was poor as well. Noise rooms, a lot of noise from adjecent rooms. The entrance of the building is like entering a ghetto, dirty and dark, need to take a dirty old elevator to the top level. The hostel/appartment area is a lot better then the lobby. Need to pickup the key at another address. They say when you come late, you will lose your reservation (for all days booked), so don't come late or next day! No oportunaty to rent bikes for multiple days, because you cannot store the bikes in the building.
Very good location and overally great place just to stay for a few nights and during daytime walk through the best attractions in the city.
New building, new room
The quality of sleep. The Ac made rattling noise when switched on and as it was hot I had to get the Ac to work however due to the noise I couldn't get much sleep. Similarly the bed made squeaking noise when you tossed and turned at night which made it impossible to sleep.
We had a front-facing apartment and enjoyed the views. The kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated that there were two bathrooms. The apartment was on the first floor, so we did not mind that there wasn't a lift.
The decor was a bit tired and some of the tiles in the shower were broken, but these are only minor gripes.
Staff were very nice and helpful especially the male receptionist, great location, lift to upper floor was brilliant
would have liked tea making facilities but maybe this is not the norm in hostels
The room was comfortable clean and functional. We would have had difficulty finding it if we hadnt read review but just look for the granier bakery and its next door. Kettle available to rent 1 euro a day and chinese shop next door for cups about a euro each. Felt completely safe and really enjoyed the city rooms remind me of a bond or bourne identy film lol
Couldnt get safe to reset but not an issue
We really loved the location which was about 1 km away from plaza catalunya and rambla, you just had to go down the street and there you were- very direct and easy route. We also appreciated the fact that the receptionist waited for us about half an hour after 9 pm when the ckeck-in ends. Nice bathroom and bed which seemed very clean and there was air conditioning and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Finally, we loved the price.
The hotel sent us in advance a thereatening e-mail that final check-in is 9 pm, our flight was late and we tried to call and e-mail but no answer, but they waited for us after all which was nice in the end. The hotel has no sign outside, very old building, the entire floor-our room included- smelled like everything was old and dusty, my dust allergy reacted a bit. The room doesn`t look as good as the pictures, quite grunge and ugly, no window in the room or bathroom, balcony opened with a horrible door to some kind of ugly inside paved courtyard. Luggage storage is actually the reception hallway and they charge 2 euros as they also charge tourist maps 1 euro, even though they are free at other hotels.
Location Price for Barcelona is quite low
Wi-fi doesn't work Safe doesn't work Extra money for using kitchen
No air conditioning Must check in before 9pm A little noise
Accessibility and price
Great location and price. Clean rooms and bathrooms.
Beds were not comfy as mattress support.
