It was very close to all amenties and it was very comfortable to sleep in,the staff was very friendly, it is very clean and has a really good smell all through the hotel, good food in restaurant, and the most important it is very close to Placa Catalunya were you don't have to walk a long distance to everything even from the Barcelona Bus station. I would recommend this hotel to every-one and even if i will think to go to Barcelona for the second time i will defintely stay in Acta Atrium. Thanks The gym was very small and not well equipped and also the pool was not regularly cleaned. The breakfast was very good but it was the same for all the days.

We liked the location in the centre of the city close to the metro station Passeig de Gracia. The train from the airport to this stop takes about half an hour. BEWARE new arrivals in Barcelona taking this form of transport to the city centre: pickpockets prey on unwary tourists riding in crowded carriages and walking on the crowded platforms as people get on and off the train!!! The hotel has a 4 star rating and prices to match... but the room was small and the furniture is dark brown formica, the bath towels were stringy and smelled of bleach and the room lacks coffee and tea-making facilities - not what you would expect in a 4star hotel. The breakfast costs 12.90 euros and there is a fairly decent spread, but the dining room was crowded, we had to line up for the buffet, and the coffee - dispensed from a coffee machine - was undrinkable. (Coffee hounds take note) We only ate there our first morning and then had breakfast elsewhere for much less. Fortunately we hadn't booked the breakfast included price. The hotel has a small gym and a pocket-handkerchief-sized swimming pool (probably what gets it the 4star rating) in a dark basement - not inviting. The lifts are above the pool and a strange smell of bleach/chlorine emanates from the lift shaft... in fact we noticed the same smell each time we entered the room, so it could just have been the cleaning fluid they used throughout the hotel. If you can get a discount rate at this hotel, it's worth it for being in a great location, but there are other 4star hotels in the area at around 200 euros a night.

The location was good both for business and leisure. Rooms were clean and the building was well maintained. I had a room facing the atrium and another building that looked quite forlorn and was just some meters away. The curtains had to be closed all the time, so there was no daylight at all. It was like living in a closet. The bed was hard as stone, and the "pool" was a joke.

This is the first time i write a review but i have promised myself to do it because Acta Atrium Palace deserves it. It has a fabulous location, just 5 minutes away from a subway station, bus in front of the hotel ( on the other side of the street) and is 10 minutes away from Placa Catalunya which is the center of the City. From that point you have all the connections you would need (shuttle bus to the Airport, Touristic Bus, etc). The staff is great, the rooms are spacious and very well equipped with nice bathroom amenities and a good and divers breakfast (although a little bit expensive, 12.5 EUR/person). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I booked the Atrium Palace for 3 night stay for my daughter and her partner, it was her 21st birthday. At my request the manager organised cava and a birthday cake for their arrival in their room. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the room was lovely and spacious with a balcony. Will definately stay again.

Location is very central. Spa was ok -not as luxurious as it looked in photos. Room was small and bath is standard size. Not as illustrated in photo example. Rate was rather expensive as we did not get breakfast and facillities were not so great that it was worth paying extra for. If it wasn't for the location, I would've rather paid a little less and stayed in a comfortable 'pension' and get breakfast included.

The staff were very helpful, and as we didn't speak any Spanish, a couple of them spoke english which was really useful to us. The breakfast was by far the best we've had in an hotel, lots of choice and hot. We shall definately recomend the hotel to our friends. Thankyou for a pleasant stay in Barcelona.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. In short: the localisation was very good, also the staff was helpful and professional, the breakfast was good. In short: the room was not clean enough (E.G. nobody cleaned water stains on the bathroom's floor, similarly with the mirror, glasses, etc.), the room was relatively small, there was an unpleasant smell from the water pipes (the buliding is from 1888), eventually, the room was not quiet, although it was generally acceptable. In principle, if you are in a 4-star hotel you expect at least 4-star service - we did not feel it at this hotel. It was ordinary.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Rooms were fully equipped and very clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent ! And again the staff was very helpful. They all speak English or French. Within walking distance of the Rambla and Plaza Catalunya. The subway is running under the street or hotel and was noisy. The wall between the rooms must be very thin since I could hear the guests in the next room having a normal conversation. Unfortunately in the middle of the night. For me the noise of the subway and people talking next door was disturbing and I did not sleep well. On the other hand, my room mate did not bother at all and slept like a baby.

Central location, location, location but our front room was very quiet. Room good size for 2 people with 2 sink areas. Maintained very well. Nice and dark for sleeping. Comfortable beds and pillows. Staff not helpful with making reservations although they seemed to try but were very busy and either forgot or got details wrong. Spa area very small, jacuzzi not heated and entire area not clean with no seating or lounging and not treatments available. Calling it a spa is an over statement. No coffee facilities in room.
