Very handy having unlimited use to tea and coffee after returning from a long day in the city. Great location 2 minute walk off La Ramblas, surrounded by a few good bars.

If possible try to avoid room 6 (our room), directly next to the kitchen which was convenient but the walls are paper thin and you could hear people coming and going all hours. Also on our last night the room above as playing quite loud music, also kept us awake.

Location, location, location.

Noisy. Very noisy! People keep going to kitchen every hour of the night and don't respect other people rest. This happens every hour and our room was right next to the kitchen! Try to stay at the upper floor.

I liked that the room and facilities were simple yet in good condition. What I loved the most was 24 hour kitchen access. Kitchen has a fridger and a coffee machine, and you can have free bottled water, juice, yogurt, fruits, cookies, serial, and some basic deli to make sandwiches. Of course it is not for us to take them, but at least you can have breakfast anytime and water anytime in hotel. I loved it.

I arrived there very late around midnight, and I did not know that the receptionist works there only until 9 pm. You have to go to the other Chic & Basic hotel (Born) to pick up your keys if you can't make it by 9 pm. I had to take a cab to do that, so there was an unanticipated cost, but if you arrive during operating hours, there's nothing to worry about.

Excellent location, couple of minutes for La Rambla (city centre). The idea of 24 hour breakfast is great, the muffins are irresistible :D. We had a size M room which is a bit tiny, but for our perpeous it was appropriate, which was walking around the city 24 hours. Room was well equipped, liked the style and feature of it (listening to music..).

Kitchen`s inconvenience, a little ... )

The location was great. Close to the metro and 5 min away from La Rambla.

The room was smaller than excepted for a "large room". There were two people working at the hostel, while one was very helpful, the other was not very nice at all. Our toilet stopped working one day and when we told her that her response was "sorry, people don´t work on sundays". That was the end of that. I would not recommend this place to others.

yeri muhtesem, yataklar berbat rahatsız ve eski, oda ufak ama yeterli, tuvalet ufacık. Zaten burası hostel bir apartmanin 2 katı. En onemli ozelligi konuum itibarıyla sehrln gobeinde. Oda temiz ve tarz.

Comfortable, Clean, nicely located, kitchen is open 24h/7 and you can always eat something (no extra charge).

Unkompliziert, relaxt und schlicht - einfach gut. Für barcelonische Verhältnisse sehr ruhig, da in einer Nebenstraße gelegen. Mit 100 m von der Metrostation 'Universitat' (nördlichste Ecke von El Raval) und nur 5 Gehminuten vom Pl. Catalunya entfernt sehr zentral gelegen und ideal, um die Viertel El Raval aber auch Barri Gotic bis runter zum Yachthafen/Stadtstrand zu Fuß zu erkunden. Vor dem Hotel befinden sich drei kleine Bars/Restaurants. Hier werden neben Getränken kleine Snacks, Tappas und Pizzen unter freiem Himmel serviert. Das beste Essen/Wein von den Dreien hat das "Tallers 76". Sehr gut war auch die Art des Frühstücks - simple aber angenehm: Ein Kühlschrank mit Käse, Schinken, Marmelade, Butter, diverse Fruchtsäfte und Milch. Ein Obsttellter und etwas Kuchen. Zwei Kästen mit Brot und einen Toaster. Eine Kaffeemaschine (Einzelportionierung), Geschirr, Besteck und eine Geschirrspülmaschine. Fertig. Kommen und gehen wann man will. Auch Mittags, Nachmittags, Abends. Unkomplizierter Self-Service mit der Option, bei der Gelegenheit den ein oder anderen Hotelgast kennenzulernen.

Nein. Das Hotel ist basic aber sehr gut. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist kaum schlagbar. Ein Hinweis jedoch für Menschen, die sich ein Doppelzimmer teilen und sich vielleicht noch nicht so gut kennen: WC und Dusche sind stylish aber ebenfalls very basic (jedoch sehr sauber!) in die Zimmer integriert. Einer eventuell vorhandenen leicht erhöhten 'Schamgrenze' kann jedoch dadurch begegnet werden, indem wechselseitig einer von beiden jeweils etwas länger frühstückt oder schoneinmal den Tagesplan auf dem Platz vor dem Hotel zusammenstellt ... ;-)

Ottimo staff, le signorine che ti accolgono sono veramente molto gentili e disponibili a fornire tutte le informazioni. Pulizia dell hostal nella norma, buona colazione. Tutto sommato un buon hostal per chi non ha troppe esigenze, vicinissimo a plaza catalunia e alla fermata della metro universitat.Solo discutibile la scelta del bagno praticamente a vista in camera.

Het ligt erg centraal en dichtbij metrostation.

Geen stoel op de kamer, de douche was of te heet of te koud af te stellen, het ontbijt was wel aanwezig maar erg sober, het koffiezetapparaat werkte niet goed waardoor we geen lekkere koffie hadden, wifi werkte niet optimaal, het was niet heel erg schoon.

Lo mejor la habitación, excepto el cuarto de baño minúsculo. El pèrsonal super amable, ya que el primer día nos dieron una habitaciín enana (por contra con un buen baño), pero no funcionaba la televisión y al día siguiente nos cambiaron a una mucho mejor, sin cobrarnos la diferencia de precio.-

El precio es excesivo, hay hoteles de más categoría al mismo precio.-
