It was fantastic! We got bus discounts at the hotel! Caught the bus just outside the hotel, on a 2-day pass, and we were off to see the city. The hotel had a pool, a hot tub and wonderful weight room, and a great place to lay out and absorb the rays! Yes! I'd go back there again! At first, they were booked up for the night! We were offered a room with no view! We said no. We told them that we had a reservation for a room with a view of the city, since January 21, and it was now June 18th, he told us we would just have to wait and see if there were any rooms coming up, (by 3:00) It was 9:00 am! Ok we asked if there was a place to lock up our luggage, he said sure, just put them over there! (It was against the wall!) We walked out the front of the hotel to the bus stop and forgot the bus passes, so we went back to ask for them and what do you know......we had a room!!!!

My wife and I went on a cruise and came a day early and stayed a day and decided on the Grand Marina. It was so close to the cruise peer. It was a short 5 minute cab ride to the peer (about 20 euros) The hotel was absolutely breath taking. The service was outstanding and the room was gorgeous. The room was clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. The hotel service was great as they carried our bags as soon as we entered the hotel. I am blind, but didn't have any problem with people speaking to me and talking to me respectfully. My wife loved the tub which had those fun jets. I took advantage of the free wifi, and they even provided a converter for my netbook. We ordered room service, and the meal was outstanding. They actually brought an eligant table on wheels to the room with the food on it. The Grand Marina was very classy and would meet anyone's highest expectations for business or pleasure. The only problem was the price and that is because of the lousy exchange rate for the American Dollar. That was not the hotel's fault. In comparison to other comparible hotels in the area, the price was competitive though.

The rooms were clean and very spacious for European standards - they also had lovely views. The hotel staff were fantastic - incredibly helpful and suggestive with ideas for places to visit and things to do. The hotel location was great as well, just a short walk away from Las Ramblas. The only complaint we had is that we would have loved for the room to have coffee and tea making facilities. We paid 20 Euros for 4 cups of Green Tea! It would have been nice to be able to make our own drinks in the morning/evening.

The location is excellent, sitting just beyond the Columbus monument at the base of the Ramblas. Within close walking distance is a brand new mall with a Starbucks and a McDonalds in addition to several other restaurants. The sky tram also has an access point right in front of the hotel.

Very good hotel, in a well maintained state. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clean Rooms of good size, the "three bed room" we had was absolutley o.k. and spacious enough for our family of three. Nice furniture and luxury bath room. Perfect beds. Wardrobe maybe a bit small. Breakfast buffet is expansive but really very, very good - price justified. Restaurant aims at high level cooking but is a bit overpriced. Fitness studio, small whirlpool and small sauna are o.k.. Pool is pleasant on the roof top with a little bit of sea view and, as mentioned by others before, really quite small (say approx 6 m long). Location: directly at the harbor piers. No direct sea view! Take rooms with city view. The rooms on the other side of the building look into a proper but not very scenic court yard. Beware, the hotel just occupies the front facade of the Trade center, the rest are offices (a pharmacy and a small food shop included). The view to the city is nice and you can watch the big ships at the harbor pier. Ships, the machines and the traffic make noise way into the night. We found it acceptable and had a good nights sleep with the windows closed, but beware - the noise is there whatever you do. Despite the harbor noises we found it to be calm location compared to city center. No road traffic noises, dicso, etc. Walking distance to the lower end of the Rambla and the next metro station is about 10 to 15 minutes. There are taxi, tourist bus stops and rent-a-city bike station at the hotel (not for kids though). Good location, if you want to be a bit out of the thick of the road traffic and if you are prepared to walk another 10 minutes after a long day exploring the city. Overall a 5 star hotel for business and city travellers. Except for the pool you should not expect other entertainements for children. For family stays absolutely acceptable hotel. Kids are welcome, but do not dominate. (hotel visited in March - off main season)

Very nice, high standard Hotel. A good location with some great views of the city, especially from the roof terrace. Good facilities, very clean, with generally attentive staff. Very much geared towards corporate events in my view. This was our second stay as we were impressed previously by the high standard of service. The staff seem to be a bit hit or miss. If they are doing something which is in the program so to speak then it is all good and works well, but as soon as you ask for something different then it often doesn;t happen or takes ages. My wife and I ended up calling them the robots - work great most of the time but try something else and there was a bit of a "does not compute" outcome. After our 2nd stay we have come to the conclusion that the hotel just generally lacks character. Good service, very good food but wihtout any charm or interest.

The location was ideal for catching our cruise ship, as it was near the port. It was spacious for a hotel, particularly the bar area. The room itself was dark and dingy. It required upgrading for the phenomenal price we paid. Upon arrival and check in to the hotel, the staff were unhelpful in suggesting what the main attractions for such a beautiful city were. We were left to our own devices in finding out for ourselves what was worth seeing. Also, the staff did not seem interested in directing us to where exactly our hotel room was. All in all, we would not stay at this hotel again. The price was phenomenally high for such poor service provided by the staff.

Location was Ok, room size, clean bathroom, The hotel is beside the marina and therefore quite noisy with cruise ships in and off, the staff attitude was not hospitable only one receptions was excellent, although it's a five star hotel there was no massage service and they invite therapist from outside and they add a charge for it, they also arrange for guests to attend entertainment shows but it was not worth it and they again charge a high fee for that. We were surprised when we requested some sugar to the room they said the sugar is free but to deliver the sugar to our room it swill be charged at 3 € as if they are delivering food to another facility ! We really were astonished and felt honestly that we are not in a five star hotel... Another incident when we wanted to dine in the cafe and the waiter said the table is reserved and when we were about to leave he changed his mind and asked us to stay!!! Was it really reserved?!

The hotel, part of the World trade Centre, is in located in the middle of the harbour complex. The hotel is set up in a way that many rooms look into the central courtyard and some directly into offices of the WTC. The pool is tiny and the area around the pool is hopelessly designed, so that you do not have a view of the surrioundings when sitting or lying down. The gym is small and again, the views are of the inner courtyrárd instead of the harbour or the city.

The hotel has excellent location, very near to the tour bus, very near to Rampla st. Room is very big, cleaniness is of good standard, changing of sheets every day. The room T.v screen is small for such big room. There is no any arabic speaking chanells, I recommend esc, mbc, alarabia, aljazera. For arabic speaking tourists may feel boaring some times. Although the room is quite big but not very well furnished for five stars hotel. The matress is quite hard(not comfortable). There is no bed comfort instead very poor blanket.

This city hotel is not in the city but in the docks with views over the port, together with the fumes and all-night noise from cruise ships & ferries. It is very overpriced and not really convenient to the sights and centre of the city.

Easy access to taxis and the Hop on Hop Off bus right outside the front door. Walking distance to Las Ramblas and the Barcelona Aquarium. The rooms were very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was good and we never had to worry about getting a table because there was never a soul there! The mattresses were rock hard! The pool is freezing and the size of a postage stamp. The hotel does not have a warm cozy feel due to its modern design and although it claims to be a 5 star I'd rate it a 4 star. I don't think the hotel is suited for families, it feels more like a business persons hotel. We had stayed at the Hilton Diagonal Mar before our cruise and it was far superior in the "warm and fuzzy feeling" department that I like at hotels.

The hop and off bus was right outside the motel which was very convenient walking distance to the marina were you, can get good seafood for a resonable price. Room did not have a view and the pool bar was not inviting for cocktails as they ad irised. Breakfast was very expensive and so was the parking seeing that all the porter did was turn our car around in the same placed that we parked. Not what we expected for a 5 star motel.

The location was perfect for seeing the sights in the city. We had limited time there and wanted to see as much as we could. It was easy to walk to the rambles, easy to walk to the beach, and easy to walk to the gondola and other transportation for sight seeing. It was expensive
